Issue of scanning HP Officejet 7612

I can't get my HP Officejet 7612 to analyze.  I use Windows 8.1.  I ran the HP printer Installation Wizard.  Test print was OK.  Analysis of test was inadmissible.   I ran doctor printing & scanning HP, but it keeps stuck on Windows (WA) Scan.  Is sitting there for an hour with no progress and so I have to X out of it.  The printer prints well and copy very well.  Need help.

    • Click and drag the HP or Hewlett-Packard folder to the trash icon in the Dock.
    • In the menu bar, click OK, click go to folder, type/Library/Printers, and then click OK. The Printers folder opens.
    • Click and drag the HP or Hewlett-Packard folder to the trash icon in the Dock.
      Restart the Mac.
    • Right-click or Ctrl + click on the trash icon, then select Empty trash.
    • Then go to http://hp.care/2cyaSUh and download the MAC 10.11 drivers and install them on your computer.

  • OfficeJet 7612 - scanning in the Yosemite Mac problem

    Hello

A few days ago, I bought an all-in-one OfficeJet 7612 and from the beginning I am not be able to scan to the computer (only to emails or usb).

    It's what I've tried and I get:

    1. Install the drivers and full software from the CD provided with the product: It appears to turn on the option scan to the computer . But whenever I try to do, a message in the iMac says: could not establish a connection with the printer.
    2. Download the last update on the HP driver support site: He always says that to computer scan cannot be enabled, and that I should download and install the latest driver.
    3. Installation using AirPrint printer: It recognizes the printer and even the fax feature, but never the scanner.

I don't no what to do, it looks like there is no full support for my 7612 in Yosemite.

Can anyone help me?, I'm doing something wrong?

OK, I managed to do this work, that's what I did:

    1. Uninstall the HP driver through the uninstall program that comes with it.
    2. I deleted these two files from the: < youruserhere > /Users//Library/Preferences
    • com.apple.print.custompresets.forprinter.Officejet_7610_series.plist
    • com HP. DeviceMonitor.plist
    1. Restart the iMac (I don't know if that helped, but I did anyway).
    2. Install the printer using AirPrint.

I deeply thank RnRMusicMan who was helping me through all this time trying to make this work.

I hope this can help someone who found this problem too.

  • OfficeJet 7612:7612 scan multiple pages to a Doc

We have recently improved our XP OS to Win8 and now custom 7612 scan multiple sheets in a single document.  When he scan (one sheet) it scans at 11 x 17, at the end of the analysis, it has gray shading. I tried changing the settings, but I am at a loss.   What I've read here the HP Director is supposed to pop up as well, in my opinion, that does not happen.  Help, please

    Hello @sprinklerlady!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I should be able to provide assistance on your Officejet 7612 does not scan multiple pages in a single document.  It looks like you can have just a software problem.  I think it would be a good idea to start over again and get rid of all printing software and reinstall it.   Once the uninstall is complete, it would be wise to perform a cleanup of the computer disk. A disk cleanup will improve the performance of the computer and remove the temporary files that may cause problems during the installation of the software. Once disk cleanup you must restart the computer and reinstall the HP software.

To uninstall the HP software, click here: uninstall the HP software

To perform a disk cleanup, click here: perform a disk cleanup

  • HP Officejet 7612 pilot error issues.

I recently bought a HP Officejet 7612 all-in-one printer and it connects to my wireless network and when plugged directly into the computer with a USB cable, the computer recognizes it as a 7610 and then windows search for drivers, unless a driver is but the printer is unable to connect to the system.  The installation disk supplied with the printer is a 7610 model.  I tried to go online to HP and download the drivers and the error message still appears. I bought a 7610 in June and the printer immediately hooked to my wireless network and working properly without any problem of driver.

I have to the best of my knowledge through all the troubleshooting steps HP recommends at least twice with the same results.  I tried updates, patches, everything that can update the software that came with the printer so that it can connect.  Always the same result.  It can not connect through the wireless and wired, he can't download all the drivers. the wireless on the printer icon is on.  My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64.

    Appreciate any help.

  • HP Officejet 7612: analysis of problems after installing Windows 10

After installing Windows (prior to Windows Vista) 10, scan documents with my HP Officejet 7612 became a hell of a job.

    Printing is no problem.

With Webscan, I can only scan and save 1 page at a time, I can not scan several pages of the document 1 more.

I downloaded "Extended Scan" but when I try to use this app, it says "year error occurred while scanning" without more information.

With "HP Scan and capture" I can't scan the size of A3 paper full of documents and there seems to be no possibility to change the size of a3 paper. Maximum size is 'legal letter '.

Same problem with "Windows Fax and scan."

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Scanning with Officejet Pro Wireless 6830

HP Officejet Pro 6830 analysis wireless? I tried using the wireless and ethernet without success. When I look at the system of preference/printer & Scanner / Officejet pro 6830 I see not "Scan" type in the printer option although it seems if connect you via USB.

    Hi @kskhater,

It may be best to contact Apple to make sure everything is configured correctly and the necessary ports are open.

You can create a second admin account, is not on the privileges, it is to determine if there is a problem with your user profile. The question might have something to do with your printing system. I know that the issue is scanning, but the printing system, it's what the driver, and since we already have reset the printing system, Apple may need to reload, or the operating system. Create a second user account will help determine whether the problem is related to your account.

As you can see, at this point, we are at a stage of diagnosis, troubleshooting is the process of elimination. To identify the cause in order to solve the problem.

The user guide for the 7612 Officejet says on page 167 of the printer supports printing recto verso on support for legal (as well as the formats A3 and tabloid) format.  I installed the driver in my system Windows 10 and I can confirm that the driver allows you to select duplex with the legal size printing.

Page 65 of the manual Officejet Pro x476dw is similar, it indicates support for duplex up to legal size printing.
