  An update to a new version do NOT alter or modify your personal settings as the user name or password. TB-program-files are kept in a place while all data, settings, messages, archives, etc address books are stored under each user's own space.   I have an A1278(MacBookPro8,1) and its pretty bad overheating. I reapplied thermal paste, reinstalled OS X, but it will overheat after a few hours of running.

  

  The location of the heat is more towards the left, then it shows in the photo above.

  If I run a heavy application like Photoshop, Mac fan starts super top and heat is near unbearable.

  In my opinion its very bad idea to use the firmware that is NOT specially released for your Smart TV.
  I don t think that the use of this firmware not compatible could be very useful.
