Slow launch

I have the Pirate the TCP Ports, including the 49 # s, stuck in my firewall. This causes a VERY slow launch FF, but doesn't seem to have any effect on the actual operation. Is it possible to renounce these useless TCP queries?

I'm not sure the "Pirate TCP ports". I think that a default installation of Firefox would not be using the ports in that range.

  • Slow launch of applications in El Capitan

    Since the upgrade to El Capitan on my MacBook Pro (late 2011), iMac (end 2013) and the MacMini (early 2014), I had the problem on all 3 machines. At the launch of many applications for the first time after a reboot (including Mail, Safari, FIrefox, SuperDuper!), the launch starts, then spinning beachball appears for 15 to 30 seconds and finally launch is over. Applications behave normally thereafter. During the spinning beachball, Console displays the following text repeated several times:

    28/11/15 AM Disk Utility [37568] 10:21:56.920: failed to SecTaskLoadEntitlements error = 22

  • Slow Application launch time

    I have a 13 inch MacBook (mid-2012) bought in 2014. 2.5 Intel Core i5 to GHz, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

    Operating system: OS X El Capitan 10.11.2

    I have known launch of the application slow times, ranging from 15 seconds to launch iWork applications, 20 seconds to launch Chrome and iTunes and up to 50 seconds to launch Microsoft Office applications (2013). Once the applications are running for a few minutes, they work quickly and without problem.

    I tried a few options of troubleshooting for general slowness of mac, but they have not improved launch time:

    • Updated all the software
    • Moved old documents to an external hard drive and erased from the laptop
    • Started in mode 'safe' and attempts to launch slow applications
    • Run 'First aid' disk utility
    • Cleared the cache of bookstores
    • Removed the unnecessary plugins of Chrome & Safari.

    This could be the cause of slow launch times and how can I solve this problem?

    Could be an application such as an antivirus by using memory resources program in the background. You can open the activity monitory and see if something is using too much memory.  Or download and run EtreCheck and post here.   http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

  • How to fix the duration of the slow program on Windows 7

    I have Windows 7 Starter SP1 on my Netbook with Atom N2600 CPU. At the launch of the downloaded programs using Windows Explorer, it takes a long time (2 minutes) before it shows the security warning box. It is normal to run other programs that are installed on my computer. I disabled Windows Defender, and I haven't installed Antivirus software. I have Comodo Firewall installed and Windows Firewall disabled. If I unlock the executable file under properties, it works normally. This period of slow launch comes in standard users and administrators accounts. A smart display for Internet Explorer is disabled. Until July security updates and other important updates until April are installed. What is the problem?

    Hello

    Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

    I understand that your computer takes a long time to run a downloaded program.

  • Audit of permissions is caused a late start the Application

    Hello

    In my application, I register the Application with HttpFilter registry. So if I open a particular link, I go to the browser and back again to the application. Now, to do this, I created an entry point. And I take some permissions. Now the question is, I write permission in the Main method of the Application. So every time it is check approval and launch the application. So, there are a few seconds(5-6) delay in the launch of the application.   Here is the code for the permissions:

     /** @return true if the user has accepted permissions requests */
        public static boolean hasPermissions() {
           ApplicationPermissionsManager apm = ApplicationPermissionsManager.getInstance();
           ApplicationPermissions original = apm.getApplicationPermissions();

           if(original.getPermission(ApplicationPermissions.PERMISSION_BROWSER_FILTER) == ApplicationPermissions.VALUE_ALLOW)
           {
              return true;
           } else {
              return false;
           }
        }

        /** @return true if the user has accepted / granted permissions */
        public static boolean checkPermissions() {
           if (!hasPermissions()) {
              ApplicationPermissions permRequest = new ApplicationPermissions();
              permRequest.addPermission(ApplicationPermissions.PERMISSION_BROWSER_FILTER);
              return ApplicationPermissionsManager.getInstance().invokePermissionsRequest(permRequest);
           } else {
              return true;
           }
        }

    And here I check in the main method:

    public static void main(String args[])
        {
            if(checkPermissions());
            {
                try {
                    if((args != null) && (args.length > 0) && (args[0].equals("background")))
                    {

                        Logger.out("AppLaunch", "in the alternate entry point");
                        HttpFilterRegistry.registerFilter("URL", "packagename");
                    }
                    else if(args != null)
                    {
                        Logger.out("AppLaunch", "Inside the Applaunch");
                        theApp = new ArcotOtpApp();
                        Logger.out("AppLaunch", "created the app launch object");
                        theApp.enterEventDispatcher();
                    }
                } catch (Exception e) {
                    // TODO Auto-generated catch block
                    Logger.out("AppLaunch", "Exception::::::11111111" +e);
                }
            }

        }

    Can you please tell me where I am doing wrong or what is the right way so that the time will not be there.

    Thank you very much Peter. I check out on your way. It was not the issue of the authorization. There was another object instantiations are pass while going to the main screen. Which are at the origin of the slower launch.

    Thanks again.

    And can you help me on this question too: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Active-RichText-Field-Hyperlink-issue/td-p/2...

  • Commissioning of Applications using security groups - by application, or several apps by group?

    I was curious how most was assigning applications.  Would you recommend the creation of a group by the application or by using a group for several applications.  The reason that I ask is that we have a group called "Basic Thinapp" which includes standard applications for all users, such as adobe reader, mozilla, flash, quicktime and some others so that all members of Thinapp Base gets our basic fixed package of applications.

    The problem is that we want to install adobe reader locally on our virtual desktops because of the slow launch time and unable to show online them PDFs with IE.  We use thinreg so when Adobe Reader icon is removed from the directory of our icon and when they the logoff and log back in, Adobe leaves behind a non-working icon that useless and users would have to remove it manually if they wanted to get rid of it.  This does not seem the best approach.

    I know that the best way to remove the app is to remove the users outside the group, ask them to logoff and log in again for the app to disappear.  However, users would lose all basic applications.  We could then put back them in the Group and forced to logoff and log back in again and they would get the base once again.  That seems a lot to ask of users.

    Creating a group by application seems to be more directors as well as all users will need to be placed in each groups.

    Is there a better way to do this?

    We mainly use the Application - approach of a group, but have a few groups with multiple applications.

    With your case, I would do the following:

    1. create a new group and put there also: all users in your group of basic thinapp

    2 rebuild the thinapp adobe so that it uses this group

    3. After all users have logged off at least once from step 2, replace your thinapp with the newly rebuilt thinapp

    4. now, the Adobe Reader software works on his own group, you can delete users from this group, and after their next log off / log icon should disappear, because they are no longer allowed.

    The only problem is that you need the thinapp riffle proberly file, so the thinapp must be in the file system until all users are connected at least once. And with the local profiles, connected only once on each computer with a profile of them.

  • Slow pre-launch sequence on end of 2013 rMBP13

    Hi guys, I tried to understand this problem of slow boot for about a year and a half now, and I can not pin down what is the problem or how to fix this reliably.

    I have an end of 2013 rMBP 13 running El Capitan (although the problem existed in Yosemite as well, but I don't remember what happens in the Mavericks) and 10 Windows in bootcamp (it used to run windows 8, but then the slow start came with it as well). I don't remember exactly when this happened first, but it was about half a year or so after Yosemite was released. I was running Yosemite and windows 8 in bootcamp without problem before and Maverick and the same installation of windows 8 before a year very well.

    The problem:

    The laptop appear to have a slow sequence of pre-launch. I press the power button, hear the Apple chime, then wait about 20 to 25 seconds until the apple logo on the white black screen or selection of start up, screen am I holder of options. After the apple logo or the boot selection screen, it starts normally in less than 5 seconds on the desktop. All the following which works perfectly well without notable accidents and slowdowns during normal use. Also never actually, it fails to start or give any error message.

    The delay seems to also occur before the computer records the NVRAM reset - I must press Cmd/Opt/P/R for about 20 seconds before the screen backlight turns off, the computer restarts with a second chime.

    The biggest problem is I switch between OSX and Bootcamp quite often, and I need to sit near the computer and hold the option key for nearly half a minute each time when I do that... Otherwise everything else works as expected.

    Things I've tried:

    Reset NVRAM - I think it would work once a large earlier. Right now reset which does nothing for the boot time.

    Select volume OSX in the startup disk - I tried this time OSX recovery and even in the recovery of the internet. This used to work once or twice sporatically, but no longer works. I also tried setting Bootcamp partition as the starting volume, and it still does not work.

    Reset SMC - never done any good.

    Wipe the disk and reinstall - it's been a while since I've done it, but I remember that it worked fine when OSX is the only volume, but when I install bootcamp and then try to select OS x as the default volume, he is still confused and slow down during pre-launch.

    Repair of permissions of the drive and stuff - has never done any good.

    Wiping Bootcamp - worked at least once, but as soon as I reinstall it and boot in there and back, the same problem occurs.

    The changing property and rebuild kextcache-

    sudo chown root: admin /.

    sudo kextcache-system-pre-bound-kernel

    sudo kextcache-system-caches

    It was the last thing I tried with success. I have done this in the terminal about 3 months ago and restarted. Apple logo appeared in the 5 seconds of power and I was super excited. But then I started in bootcamp and returned and the pre-launch was always again. Now it is once again not even speed up the first reboot.

    Any idea guys? I feel as if it were an EFI problem where laptop computer confused at where to start from and he concludes then somehow in 20 seconds. But if that were the case why not selecting disk start not fix it? Also why it not immediately save the NVRAM reset?

    I don't know if you still have this issue, but I think I could have solved on my rMBP after finding http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/209-69-windows-bootcamp-black-screen-blinking-curseur-Age-boot(not without first OS X repartitioning and by performing a clean installation, which now seems as if was not necessary).

    I had to get Windows Recovery mode.  F8 does not seem to work with boot camp to the to do, I started Windows and held down the power button to interrupt the boot sequence, after that 2 - 3 times it would show "Please Wait" instead of the usual circle of points (10 Windows).  Otherwise you can use the Windows installation media, but I had only one practice ISO file I installed via boot camp assistant.

    Open the command (under Advanced Recovery).  Enter the following command:

    Bootrec.exe /FixMbr

    Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

    Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

    From there I could reboot and there was no delay start in Windows.  In now option button to select the startup disk also didn't cause any delay and was admissible.  I started to OS X and selected my OS X disk as the startup disk, restarted several times and did not have questions that I would have usually experienced.

    My guess is that it may have been caused by a recent update of Windows 10.

    I have a Tecra M3 which fails to launch programs on the desktop and also takes a long time to open the fom navigating the start menu selections. We have created new profiles for the user, delete the old one, installed more memory, cleaned and the temptation of power the disk, but still the same problem of ave.

    Can anyone suggest a solution? Thank you

    Hello

    It is not easy to give you a proper answer to that kind of question because we don't know how to use this device is installed and configured. Everything that you already made, it is good, but you can try to check the Task Manager and all running processes. It is possible that some processes running in the background, slow performance of the unit as an anti-virus program.

    I had the same situation my Satellite P0.

  • Is it possible to launch any video players (not just Media Player) to play the videos after the market slow as screensaver?

    Hello.

    I wish that my old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 to launch a video player (not only Windows Media Player; it could be everything I said to use) and play various video files (for most of the formats MPEG/MPG-2 and TS) after a few hours to be slowed down as it does for the screen savers. Is there a way? If it requires a third party, then it should be free and light.

    Thank you in advance. :)

    Hi Ant man.

    Unfortunately, Windows XP doesn't have this feature to play a video as screensaver. However, this feature is present in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    For more information, you can view the article:

  • VMware Horizon 3.3.0 - slow when it is launched from a machine virtual (WS2008 R2) - all solutions?

    We have an installer of VMware Horizon which works fine when accessed from our laptops.

    However, for several reasons, we also this environment accessible from a Windows Server 2008 R2 computer that resides in a virtual machine on a hypervisor.

    But the problem is that it is very very slow at the launch like this (you can feel the delay in cursor of mouse or when you open a window on the machine of Vmware View published). I want to clarify that the connection to the client VM (WS2008R2) is made through RDP.

    The questions that I have since I'm not able to find out so far are:

    (1) is x 86-64 catches WS2008R2 supported as a client? A Client of Horizon install VMware on it different in any way on a Windows 7 computer?

    (2) is the fact that he is virtualized to the cause of the slowness? If so, why is that and can do something about it?

    Thank you very much, I really appreciate your help.

    OK, he solved it myself

    It seems to the "Control Panel > mouse Options > pointers > scheme ' the 'Windows - Aero system' has been selected. The second I put it to zero, the cursor of the mouse began to behave and he moves normally.

  • Launch and slow wifi connection on compact z5

    I had a compact z5 because my Z1 broke, and he is quite the disappointment.

    Its quite slow in use, opening the applications etc, the battery life is is worse than the Z1, but what about major nuisance for daily use; I had hoped it would be as fast as the Z1 when it was new, before that software upgrades make it really slow to...

    1: when you use the endurance, it takes a long time to connect to wifi after reactivation, 30 to 60 secons... The Z1 does not have the haves of this problem, it comes to connect very quickly.

    2: when you select Start, it takes about 20 seconds to display the available connections to throw to... The Z1 was perhaps a second and normally connected to the nearest automaticalliy still.

    Why this poor performance, is anyone else having the same trouble?
    And please don't tell me 'fix' the software, the phone is 3 weeks out of the box, it is not necessary to do... Looking forward to a solution to this, since I feel a bit stupid to have chosen the Sony phone still one time...

    @SorenLH

    That doesn't sound right, I have the Z5 and Z5 premium and they are fast, @alexdon do you experience lag on the compact Z5?

    you could boot on > safe mode to test this questions?
