JDeveloper 12 c (12.1.2.0.0) generic installer, jdev_suite_121200.jar

Installation Guide for JDeveloper 12 c (12.1.2.0.0), 36 Pages
http://docs.Oracle.com/middleware/1212/jdev/OJDIG/index.html

Section 1.3:

Generic installer (platform independent) :

The generic installation program ( jdev_suite_121200.jar) can be used to install Oracle JDeveloper Studio on any platform.

To use this installer, you must have the required JDK installed on your system.

Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12 c (12.1.2) supported systems

Last updated: July 10, 2013
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/1212-CERT-1964670.html

Operating system JDeveloper ADF
Microsoft Windows 7, 8 (64-bit) Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 15 + (64-bit) Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 15 + (64-bit)

I guess the sign '+' means updated 15 " or more ". "

Thus, logged as administrator.

Browser open to http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/Java/javase/downloads/index.html

And downloaded Java SE JDK update 40, jdk-7u40-windows - x 64 .exe

Ran / double click on the .exe to run it.

Modification of the PATH system variable to include C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_40\bin

Verified JDK 7 update 40 is in the path...

> java-version

Java version "1.7.0_40".
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_40 - b43)
Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 24, 0 - b56, mixed mode)

Go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/downloads/index.html

Download JDeveloper 12 c (12.1.2.0.0)'s (platform-independent) generic Setup.

file name = jdev_suite_121200. pot size = 1 878 404 KB

Open a command prompt window.

Navigate to the downloads directory.

> java-jar jdev_suite_121200.jar

Extracting files...............................................................

This Setup program must be run using an SDK Java (JDK)

but C:\Program Files\Java\jre7 is not a valid JDK.

The Oracle Universal Installer failed. On the way out.

I don't understand.   Hmmm.

(Or both) of your helpers are useful.

It's...

  • change step # 3...

From: command prompt, navigate to the directory where you downloaded the installer.

TO: Command prompt, navigate to the directory where you downloaded the installation program or %JAVA_HOME%\bin

AND

  • change step 4 for example:...

FROM: "\home\Oracle\jdk7_15\jdk1.7.0_15\bin\java-jar jdev_suite_121200.jar

To: Downloads > "" C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_40\bin\java - jar jdev_suite_121200.jar

Or...

bin > java-jar \Downloads\jdev_suite_121200.jaruserC:\Users\

However, the correct answer is for Oracle to replace the Installation Guide as described here

(or change the generic Setup program to do what the Installation Guide explains currently).

And since the Oracle has no process in place to facilitate the correct answers, I'm not clicking on "Right answer" buttons (just the useful buttons).

  • Problematic JDeveloper facilities (rt.jar)

    Hello

I have problems with JDeveloper facilities on my new laptop Windows 7. My previous laptop was also Windows 7, and he has not had these problems with the same versions of JDeveloper.

I installed 11.1.1.6 and 11.1.1.9 JDeveloper and both versions have the following symptoms:

    • Sometimes I can't start JDeveloper from the Start Menu, I have to go into the installation with Explorer directory and launch it by clicking on jdeveloper.exe.
    • Compilation warnings:
Warning: Error occurred during initialization of VM
Warning: java/lang/ClassNotFoundException: error in opening JAR file  C:\Oracle\Middleware_11.1.1.9\jdk160_29\jre\lib\rt.jar

    • Running an integrated Weblogic application works well at first but after a while, I get an error internal server with the following types of errors:
weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: Failed to compile JSP /view1.jspx
view1.jspx:7:4: The type java.lang.Object cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files
      <f:view>

By following the instructions on this forum and elsewhere, I have tried using a different JDK (I used JDK provided for 11.1.1.6 and tried to use then the one that came with 11.1.1.9), checked that I can open rt.jar after changing the type of file in .zip etc. I also changed the directory privileges so that my user account has full control of all files in JDeveloper.

Any suggestions what I should try next?

    Thank you!

Jdev 11.1.1.9 is provided with the jdk 1.6?

I thought that it uses jdk 1.7.

Try to download the latest jdk 1.7 and install it on your pc. Then install jdev 11.1.1.9 and download the generic installation program. Install jdev using the generic installation program (run as admin) and use the jdk 1.7, you have installed before.

Windows/Linux installer for jdev 12.2.1 is bundled with JDK 1.8u51 then try with this JDK version (as far as I know, JDK 1.8u60 has some problems so it is probably also related to the u66).

You can change the JDK in jdev.conf file: Blog-Marc: change the JDK used by JDeveloper

Maybe your download does not work and the file is corrupted.

Use the generic installer jar where you can test after download. Once the test, open the jar using your patronage zip tool works, you know the download has been authorized.

  • The 32-bit platform has been abandoned for JDeveloper 12.1.3?

This thread was created to prevent the diversion of this similar thread:

https://community.Oracle.com/message/12509733#12509733 (when the new version of Jdeveloper will come including ADF mobile framework?)

I have replied to this thread and inadvertently ask myself a question:

    always 32-bit will be supported?

    Timo Hahn replied as follows:

If you check the matrix certification Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12 c (12.1.3) supported systems , you see that only the windows 64-bit systems are supported. You can try the generic installation program that can run windows 32-bit inn.

That is why this thread for my question.

Certification for 12.1.3 matrix lists only the 64-bit systems. It is not clear if the support of 32-bit system only has not yet been made public or if Oracle has abandoned in favor of the 32-bit platform JDev framework and SDK extension.

We have tried to create and manipulate Developer extensions sql for several years, but there have always been problems; in particular, the absence of sufficient documentation for changes between sql developer and framework Jdeveloper, he comes and the lack of any official source for XSD schema files necessary.

The last issue was the transition to the new OSGI framework for these two products.

Developer 4.0.2.15.21 SQL is supported on 32-bit Windows and use the Jdeveloper 12.1.3 framework which, until today, NOT went public.

I posted a question in this forum and the developers forum sql on a problem of Extension when you use the JDev 12.1.2 and Sql Dev framework.

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/3566788

This code example, I provided in this thread appears to indicate the following:

    1. a bug in the version of sql developer 4.0.2.15.21

    2. a bug in Jdeveloper 12.1.3

    3. an incompatibility between this version of sql dev and the 12.1.2 Framework SDK extension my sample uses (since 12.1.3 was not available

So I'll try to understand what JDeveloper and Sql Developer extensions will be cared for and on what platforms.

If the Jdev 12.1.3 framework won't be supported for 32-bit, which probably means that extensions for 32-bit versions of Sql Developer will not be supported.

But this version of Sql developer is publicly available for 32-bit systems and its architecture makes heavy use of the extensions. So he itsn can't clear at all whether the general public can develop extensions for 32-bit sql developer if Jdev 12.1.3 framework is not available on this target.

One of the problems with the use of JDev to create Developer extensions sql was that developer sql was NOT available as a target platform for the deployment.

I expect Oracle to announce a delivery date for a 32-bit version of the JDev framework. But since the 64-bit version was only published and that Sql Dev is supported on 32-bit platforms and uses a (perhaps in-house) version of the 12.1.3 framework I hope that Oracle could at least tell us if a decision was made to abandon support for the 32-bit framework or not.

If this isn't the case, then the third party extensions won't be able to support the 64-bit versions of JDeveloper and Sql developer.

    Hello...

We (JDev) support still 32-bit JDK. The change you see is double: 1) we distribute installers with the 32-bit JDK built, 2) we no longer run tests on 32-bit JDK. However, visitors are always entitled to support when executing JDeveloper in a 32-bit environment. The availability of 32-bit computers and operating systems capable of running JDeveloper fades quickly. Only 64-bit supports fusion Middleware, but for development only (JDeveloper) we continue currently to provide 32-bit support. This will ultimately change in the future (in the same way that we no longer support 16-bit architectures), but the time is not yet known.

Also, I just want to point out that the support of 32-bit is mentioned in the doc certification here:

    Other operating systems Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 51 + (32 bit, 64 bit) Updated Oracle JDK 1.7 51 + (32 bit, 64 bit)

    and here

Gets the support of other operating systems (untested), including 32-bit JDK, for the purposes of a single user in a development only environment. Not planned for production deployments.

  • Problem with a silent install of JDeveloper 12 c

    Hello!

I build a continuous integration environment (aka Jenkins) and I need ojdeploy to build our project. The only way I found to have ojdeploy configured is to install JDeveloper Studio (12 c) on the environment, but we display on Linux (CentOS) environment, so I had to use the silent installation. However, the silent mode does not work and I couldn't understand why.

    Error log:

[VALIDATION] [ERROR]: INST-07319: Validation of Oracle Home location failed. The location specified already exists and is a non-empty directory and not a valid Oracle Home

[VALIDATION] [SUGGESTION]: provide a location of empty or non-existent directory or a valid existing Oracle home

    Command:

    java-jar jdev_suite_121200.jar - silent - invPtrLoc/home/oracle/install - responsefile/home/oracle/silent-install

I already tried to delete all the contents of/home/oracle/jdev and even the record, but without success.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

Set the Oracle home for example ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/jdev12.1.2

  • Executable JAR using JDeveloper

    Hello

I created a very small office with JDeveloper Application.

What I want to do is to create an executable JAR file. I mean, is there any option in this tool such as in Eclipse. Once executable JAR is created, I must be able to run it simply by double-clicking on the JAR file.

So can some1 please help me with the steps?

    JDeveloper: 11.1.1.6.0

For executable jar, you will need to add:

    Main-Class: your_package.YourClass

in META-INF/MANIFEST. MF file within the jar.

I don't think JDeveloper support custom files you can modify this content after the jar is created (for example, with a tool for zip/rar/7z)

In addition, if your application requires some extra pots, you will need to add this line to manifest:

    Class-Path: additional.jar

As far as I know groovy is supported natively in Jdeveloper, right?

On JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 the same application works when debugging it.

"Install the runtime of the ADF is not required if you use JDeveloper to run applications in Integrated WebLogic Server."
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24382_01/admin.1112/e16179/deploy.htm#BGBECCBE

When I explicitly add the groovy-lang - 1.6.3.jar in "Project properties"--> "Libraries and Classpath" then it works!

The groovy-lang - 1.6.3.jar gets deployed with the application.

But still, why is not enough to have 'ADF Model Runtime' (containing groovy-lang - 1.6.3.jar) added?

The runtime of the ADF model library is deployed with the application? Select manage libraries. The runtime of the ADF model library is selected as deployed by default?

If a new library is created, the library is a default deployment?

If a library is added to a project of model or ViewController used in another project is defined an interdependence between projects?

On JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 the same application works when debugging it.
Someone knows how to solve this problem. Y at - it a missing library that was automatically added to the old JDeveloper, but is no longer in the new?

JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 JDeveloper runtime libraries that are deployed in Oracle WebLogic Server to support the ADF applications includes groovy-all - 1.6.3.jar in the adf.oracle.domain.ear Library and the System Classpath.
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23549_01/Web.1111/e15470/ap_jdevlibs.htm#BCFCIGBJ

In JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 groovy-all - 1.6.3.jar is only included in adf.oracle.domain.ear library, not the system classpath.
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E26098_01/admin.1112/e16179/ap_jdevlibs.htm

And 1.6.3 is the right version for ADF 11.1.2.2.0 Applications or should I add a newer version of groovy?
The version of the groovy is the same groovy-all - 1.6.3.jar.

  • Custom attributes of access in a bean managed to webcenter 12 c

    WebCenter Portal: Webcenter 12 c

How can I access custom attributes in a bean managed to webcenter 12 c.. ?

I found the following blogpost to 11.1.1.8: http://blog.vassit.co.uk/knowledge/access-global-custom-attributes

It is said to add libraries:

    • Model of WebCenter spaces
    • WebCenter spaces customer

Cannot find these libraries in snapshot .ee 12 c.

    Update:

The class I used in this blog post only works in 11g and it is an internal class that should be avoided to use as it may change in future versions.

It is an example of change.

It is offered in the Public Oracle Fusion Middleware Java QAnywhere for Oracle WebCenter Portal class WCApplicationContext that will allow you to access using Java through many steps.

    WCApplicationContext wcAppCtx = WCApplicationContext.getCurrentInstance();
    WCApplication wcApp = wcAppCtx.getApplication();
    WebCenterType wcMeta = wcApp.getApplicationConfig();
    CustomAttributes customAttr = wcMeta.getCustomAttributes();
    ...

This course may not be available in the libraries provided by JDeveloper 12.2.1 and you include library webcenter-core - api .jar manually.

I don't know why these classes are in the library and not offered public API catalog of libraries of the ADF in the JDeveloper 12.2.1

Anyway, as suggested by the use of Vinay and his colleagues the EL Expression as he goes to work.

Note: I'll blog in my personal blog

    Hope this information helps everybody.

    Kind regards.

You have Python installed and in the path? The fact that its open in a text editor instead of running it seems to suggest there is a problem with the installation of Python. Take a look at:

    Thanks @Markus Lohn !

Here is how you can read data from BEPEL in Java Embedding process.

    Element reqIdXMLElem = (element) getVariableData ("variableentree", "payload", "/ ns3:process / ns4:RequestID");

    if(reqIdXMLElem==null) {} else {}

    reqId = (String) ((oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement) reqIdXMLElem) .getText ();

    addAuditTrailEntry ("Request ID is" + reqId) ;}
    Also like Markus added.

I had added these instructions so import

    ************************************************************************************

I tried to solve by replacing the folder under my C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\soa\modules\oracle.soa.fabric_11.1.1 with that I found under the server of soa, but it did not work properly.

So the only solution may be trying to manually deploy the jar file on server of soa.

I've never done before and I do not know how... I'm a newbie... I'm sorry.

How to create the jar of Jdev, then how to deploy.

    Thanks for any help.

    Fairlie

    HI there are Fairlie,

the jar (SAR) file is located in C:\JDeveloper\mywork\Test1\Test1\deploy.

You can take the .jar file, open the FMW Enterprise Manager command: http://:default console and go to SOA > soa-infra > (right click) SOA deployment. Then the wizard will guide you through the deployment.

I still don't think that this will solve your problem. If the composite not deployed JDeveloper there is a great chance not not deploy via EM either.

I advise you to carefully examine the composite.xml file and to verify that the name of the process (not the project, but the BPMN process) that you implemented is Test1.

    Hope this helps,

    Anatoli
