I use the Pro 8100 with a Linux computer via the USB port. Is there some way to make use of the connection of wirelsss printer so that I can print from an Android Tablet? The manual lists only methods for Windows and Mac.

    Hey IanSinclair,

I see that you have an Officejet Pro 8100 and you want to connect to a wireless network without the help of the USB-wireless software that is available on Windows and Mac.  I have a guide that shows how to connect a USB-wireless printer without a PC.  Please click here to access this information.

    Basically:

    • Turn it on off and then on the printer wireless
    • This will make the printer stream a configuration connection
    • Connect with the Android phone
    • Go to the SAP of the printer (192.168.223.1)
    • Select the network tab
    • Run the Wireless Setup Wizard in the built-in Web server to connect the printer to your wireless home network
    • After that, you can reconnect the Android device to your wireless network

  • Color LaserJet MFP M277dw Pro: Pilot error install Windows 10

I get "error A fatal error occurred preventing use of the product" while trying to install the printer driver on a computer Windows 10. This printer was purchased at the end of 2015. I tried all the drivers from the first pilot was released and none of them work on Windows 10. I tried to install the printer driver when connected on USB and wireless.

    Hi @Andrew8811,

There are other drivers, that you can try if you have trouble downloading the software from the HP website.

Here are a few options to get the drivers for your printer.

    HP EasyStart

Windows driver for an HP printer

    HP Universal print driver

If you are still having problems installing after trying the above drivers, you will need to contact HP for further assistance.

    Contact HP:
Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

  • Satellite Pro L300 - installation of Linux RHES4 cannot find HARD drive

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and it comes with preinstalled Vista, I loaded the XP due to the fact that I was going to see if I could load linux Redhat Enterprise 4 and dualboot both operating systems at the same time but discovered this "DOUBLE BOOT" means that you can have 2 operating systems but can only bott one or the other...

Anyway, my problem is that I want to just install Redhat Enterprise 4 linux on my laptop, but when it comes to partition the hard drive I get an error message saying "cannot find the hard drive to create file systems" then click OK and restart.

    Any ideas people?

    Chris.

    Hello

I m not a Linux expert, but I think that the reason is missing SATA drivers.
Normally, on each notebook with SATA HDD, you need SATA drivers to recognize the HARD drive before installing OS.
If you install Windows XP or Vista, you need storage for this Manager. The drivers can be loaded with an external floppy drive.
But I put t know how it works on Linux

An alternative you can change in the mode of AHCI Compatible HARD disk BIOS. Then, you don't need drivers and your disk should be recognized correctly.

Otherwise, I recommend this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=14

product page indicates that linux for the Scanjet 3000 Pro s2 drivers are available:

But the specification list only supported for Windows and Mac OS X. even for the driver download page.

This unit works with linux? If so, what architectures are supported?

    Thank you

Indeed, HP is the main contributor to HPLIP, but HPLIP does not all drivers for Scanjet scanners:

I see in the thread that the poster has got some HP drivers by contacting through the discussion list, I suggest to try the same thing and check if you got no response, it's a forum for peer to peer and not direct contact with HP...

  • Photosmart B110a Wifi Macbook Pro Scan fails after the most recent firmware update: CHL1FN1146AR

    Hi all

I currently have a problem when scanning on wifi using a Macbook pro (Mac OS X 10.7.3).)

    Printer/scanner/copier is a: HP Photosmart B110a model: CN245B

    Service ID is: 20348

The driver version is: HP ink Jet 8 pilot 3.5.2

I used to scan directly into Evernote after completing the following steps:

    System Preferences - print & Scan - Scan - Scanner-open

At this point the printer stops responding (just the apple turning and turning circle)

The utility shows HP status: 'Idle '. The serialnumber Sevice ID and model are shown as well.

Reset the system of printing and reinstalling the driver unfortunately did not solve the problem.

Even the HP utility informs me that "an error has occurred."

I tried to press the button 'wifi' on the printer for several seconds to make my router was able to connect to the printer.

It seemed to work. I can print to the printer, once... grmmph... After successful printing I launched a scan...

    Too bad...

    The message:

    "The scanner reported an error.

The scan did not complete because the operation was canceled while the analysis was underway. »

    pop up.

Power - off at least 60 seconds does not resolve the issue.

This behavior has started to happen right around the time that I installed an update of the firmware on the device.

The current Firmware version is: CHL1FN1146AR

I can reach the printer using a Web browser, the printer is showing the status of 'connection '.

The webscan works like a charm and the self test page print works as well.

If the printer is in my humble OPINION.

Please let me know if this sounds familiar to anyone. Maybe a restore to the previous firmware could solve my problem?

    Best regards

    Martijn Krop.

    Hi Martin,

First of all, try to reboot the router?

    I always suspect the router.

Even further because it seems not to support Hello based on the above document, the manual of the router and the router configuration that I went through with no opportunity to locate any indication for its support.

Please try temporary without going through the router and check the differences:

  • Windows 8 OEM or 8 Pro on portable UEFI - product key entered does not match

Hello, I have a laptop (Asus Zenbook UX32VD) UEFI which Windows installation has been replaced by a Linux distro, including the recovery partition.

There is no trace of Windows on the drive I can find, however when I plug in my USB from Windows 8 Retail Pro , created with the tool here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only (using the appropriate license key) and when I choose "install", the Setup program indicates it starts, but then stops with a message: "the entry of the product key does not match any of the Images available for Installation Windows. Enter a different product key. I can't enter the right one. I am convinced that the key OEM of Windows 8 is still somewhere in the BIOS.

Anyway, how to install anything? Either version would be perfect. I read that I can stop Setup to read the license key from the BIOS by pressing one of the buttons F #. I tried them all without success.

Former title: OEM Windows 8 or 8 Pro on laptop UEFI

I remember seeing 'Windows 8' in the system, as well as "AAOEM" at the end of the key applet; and it is multilingual, from the beginning and x 64. The OEM key will work with the 8.1 Windows installation?

And the problem is, I can't download the ISO right now: I get "Download was not completely successful" when using media creation tool (where I could select Windows 8.1 we x 64). I use it on another laptop running Windows 8.1 UK x 64. Anyway, I've tried and succeeded in a clean install of Windows 8 Pro in a virtual linux machine (so no embedded OEM key), answering my basic needs; However, it is really a temporary solution.

As I said before that the tool of "Upgrade Windows with only a product key" requires a key I have only for Pro 8, and the keys to the list of default keys Windows ADK are considered as invalid, and so I can not end up with Windows 8 (.1) non-Pro in this way.

I also found this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install/bipass-uefi-provided-product-key-to-install/a271067b-d655-4b46-8b52-b3f191b9370c and created the PID.txt file with the key; have not yet tried, but it looks promising.

Creating a file PID.txt won't help you in the slightest. Although it is possible to use a generic key in a PID.txt around enter your product key during the installation of Windows... It will only make problems with product activation later down the line.

Windows 8.1 [edition variant A] will not activate with a 8.1 Windows [edition variant B] where possible editions are:

    Windows 8 = Windows 8.1

Windows 8 single language = Windows 8.1 single language

    8N = Windows 8.1N Windows

    Windows 8.1 with Bing

    Windows unilingual 8.1 with Bing

    Windows 8 Professional = Windows 8.1 Professional

    Windows 8 Professional N = Windows 8.1 Professional N

Through the .iso image file editions until does not have your product key is the best solution at the moment unfortunately.

  • Fusion Pro 8 NAT on the private network does not

Or, at least, I can't make it work!

Created a new private network and checked the two external NAT and connect Mac boxes (DHCP disabled after you assign the IPv6 network range offshore).

Has actually tried to get a cluster of Nutanix nested in to resolve DNS queries via 8.8.8.8, but failed to reach the external network.

So I created a vanilla Win 7 VM on the same network to test, and this, too, is able to ping the GW (10.0.0.1) very well, but can not get to 8.8.8.8 (or elsewhere).

I'm doing something wrong? Is this a known issue? Are there workarounds?

    Ta!

    YOlnk,

I got exactly the same problem, used the Fusion Pro 8, used a linux guest. Could ping 10.0.0.1 very well.

I was glad to see you post, because I was convinced that I was doing something stupid.

It turns out that, in a way documented extremely bad / undocumented that the default "Nat router" gateway is 10.0.0.2!

So, for any subnet private that you create, the adresse.2 is what you want to use for the default gateway. The adresse.1 is to access the host.

I came across this documentation for Wmware workstation but it seems to be relevant for Fusion Pro too.

Bought a new laptop P200 - 156 (PSPBGE) - which has Vista Home Premium installed.

    Anyway,.

    How much hassle involved?

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

In fact for the P200 XP drivers are not available at this time and it seems that we must wait for the compatible XP drivers!

But maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel
    I found this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=24481

It s on the use of P100 XP drivers on the laptop P200.
Only XP drivers since the P100 must run on the P200 because this series are similar.
