JRE issues

I'm about to download and install the 64 bit version of SQL Developer on a new computer laptop. I have already installed SQL Developer which included JDK and have never had to install separately.

Is it true that developer SQL supports only 32-bit version of jdk1.6.0? If the 64-bit version works is it OK to install in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Java which also contains JRE7?

Can someone give me a link to download version never I need?

Things were much simpler for this non-techie who has, for the first time, also problems connecting to MS Access. I posted a question about this issue. https://forums.Oracle.com/thread/2568427

Hello

Is it true that developer SQL supports only 32-bit version of jdk1.6.0

N ° it is false, that I had a successful installation with SQL developer with 64 bit with the same.

And Oracle says install you 64-bit JDK for 64-bit SQL developer, please visit the link (64-Bit Windows Support - Section):

http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/SQL-Developer/sqldev-32-Relnotes-1734493.html

For step by step instructions, please see:

http://matthiashoys.WordPress.com/2012/09/19/installation-of-Oracle-SQL-Developer-3-2-64-bit-on-Windows-7-64-bit/

I hope that answers!

Best regards

    Hello

I installed EBS R12 12.1.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 upgrade 3. After installation I have successfully open the front-end Application and recorded in the application, but due to the JRE unable to launch forms.

Some how system got hanged and I started with the strength of the system. But after that I restarted I'm not able to start the database and application services.

In fact, it's the first time I installed R12 on Linux. When I open the terminal and type command $APPL_TOP, its not me APPL_TOP.

In my view, there could be a problem in the Environment Variables... and I do not know how to set. OR what to do for my database server and the application is online.

  • How to specify a Java Plugin for opening a form?

    Hello

Is it possible to use a specific form a specific Java Plugin? This, of course, in the same session, in the same browser.

    For example:
Use of the form formA.fmx, the Java plug-in 1.6.0_20
Use of the form formB.fmx, the Java plug-in 1.5.0_06

    With respect,

There was focus (zorder) of window problems reported long since 1.6.0_10 was released. Some were considered JRE issues and other matters of forms and some are still being investigated. In this spirit, I would recommend using 11.1.1.4 or 11.1.2 If you're not already do. This will ensure that you have the latest patches available in place.

Also helpful is disabling JRE 'Next generation' option. This setting is found on the Advanced tab of the control panel of the JRE. Uncheck this box and see if the behavior is more to your liking.

  • Moving Eclipse 3.4-> 3.5, two strange issues - lack of generator for java, Midlet-name is missing

I moved to Eclipse 3.5, installed the plugin version 1.1 BB and copied a Blackberry project from the workspce Eclipse 3.4 to 3.5 workspace.

I've added a new project of Blackberry and pointed to the existing project. He seemed to find everything, from the jdp or .project file and installed. But he has been unable to build.  In the process of building I noticed several manufacturers reported as "missing". I created a TEST project and said that she had a 'Builder of Java' the real project does not have.  I add the following xml to the builders section of the .project file code:

    org. Eclipse.JDT.Core.javabuilder

    He then built.

The packaging problem. Now I'm stuck on this packaging error:

Error! 907: descriptor required attribute missing: MIDlet-name

In the Application descriptor page, I chose 'Blackberry Application' so "main Midlet name" is not editable...

Any ideas on why I can't move my project smoothly.

Why the Application descriptor page would not create an appropriate description of MIDlet?

    Solutions!

Problem 1, the missing Java constructor can either be handled by adding the text above in the file .projects, or having somehow incremental builders reference the ".externalToolBuilders" folder that I found them in.

Problem 2 is unique.  To avoid applications with systems operating older running in compatibility mode (the small screen of blue border) on the storms, a file "compatibity.jad" was the project, containing the lines:

    RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode: false
    RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode-UserChangeable: false

The jad file is added to the real Jad through Update.Jad.  However, during the project/file/new blackberry existing project using Eclipse 3.5 upgrade, program CAP locked on the compatibility.jad file and he was looking for the MIDlet-name. I renamed the file compatibility.kad and it solved problem.

I think Rim should resolve the first issue, the question of Java Builder. The second question is kind of unique, but it can drive someone to another crazy one day...

-If you upgrade and if you do not import heritage projects (which points to the.) BlackBerry folder BlackBerry.jdw) Note that the old NET_RIM_BLACKBERRY library is now named "JRE System Library [Blackberry JRE 4.7.0]" for example. So after the upgrade, you will need to remove the NET_RIM_BLACKBERRY and the "Add Library" the correct system library.

  • 7_55 - Win 7 Pro - IE11 JRE.  Will not run the applet Java check

JRE 7_55 on Win 7 Pro with IE 11.

I am trying to unravel why, after a new installation of 7_55, I can't do the applet Java check to show the version.  With other elements on the page to check that I get a box that says, "the page requires Java... ' And an 'OK' to reject.  But I never have the version number to show.

If it is a problem of IE settings to get IE to "mate up" with Java, would someone mind helping me determine what Internet Options must be power for the applet Java check properly see the/State of the current version.  After some research, I found some people who use a property setting Compatibility Mode on the JAVAWS and JP2LAUNCHER executables.  Unfortunately, on our systems, setting Compatibility Mode to "Windows NT" does not exist in this Panel.  It only comes down to Windows Vista.

Due to production requirements, I can't go beyond 7_55.  Yes, we know the security implications, but the HQ said that our web applications will not work correctly.  And yet more hellish, that HQ tech support people say that I must ensure 7_55 'checks' (and prove) until they talk to me even on other issues of web application.  So, I'm kinda stuck at this point.  I uninstalled Java from the Windows Control Panel.  After a new installation of 7_55, I uninstalled it, this time using RevoUninstaller (who supposedly made a much more in-depth analysis of the system to pick the remaining bits.)  I went to ProgFiles > Java > javacpl and told to delete all temporary files.

So please someone give me a hand with this thing check Java.

Note: This forum has the appearance of being developer focused.  I would like to ask if I'm in the wrong forum, please point me in the right direction.

    Thank you.

Ok. nothing of this forum the hearing answer comes from answers.microsoft.com forums.  The OP there had a slightly different problem, but the solution hinged on a key factor here.

The key factor is that a system environment variable was not set.  Run these two commands from a high in Windows command prompt:

    .Jnlp Assoc = jnlpfile

    ftype jnlpfile = "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaws.exe" - jnlp '%1' % *.

These commands now Java Web Start Launcher will appear in the Windows dialog box "open with...". "When you try to change the association within the Windows shell.  When broken, this Java Web Start Launcher did not appear in this Panel, or you could bring it to appear, so any jnlp file was doomed to failure.

Now, it works very well, thank you...!

That means ODP.net cannot be installed in an existing home to Oracle. If this is not the case, how can I install it separately to get the job of EPMA.

OK got it works by manipulating inventory. It seems that there is an old facility that was causing the problem.

  • Two different installers are named jre-8u45-windows-i586

I have two files on my computer that are all two named jre-8u45-windows - i586.exe and have been downloaded Oracle's Web site. They are both signed by Oracle Corporation. One was signed to 2015-04-30 and the other 2015-04-10. I have reviewed the files and they differed in the binary content as well as digital signature section.

I want to assure you that the two files have been issued by Oracle. I installed the signed version 2015-04-10 on some computers and I'm about to install the 2015-04-30 on another (because it is more recent). But what is the difference? Is there a problem of security at Oracle or is punished for edit setup, but keep the same version?

    Please confirm:

Yes, these two files are Oracle only. I was facing the same problem and then checked.

  • Java/jre ColdFusion 11 mutual auth ssl api calls.  Help with coldfusion/java logs.

    Hello

I'm here because I have exhausted my Coldfusion/Java ssl keystore certs troubleshooting capabilities.  Here's the question. I'm developing a Coldfusion 11 application which must make calls to api for services SOAP Chase payconnexion. I use the tags of cfhttp in coldfusion to do this, that is using java jre 1.7.x to achieve this. The problem I'm getting generic 500 internal server errors of Chase.   They claim that I'm not sending a cert in the exchange of ssl.    What I did is:

-put our generic cert/key pair in the keystore of coldfusion

-put our root and the string in the keystore

-put the chase Server certs in the keystore

-converted files of key/crt in .pfx and make calls

for hunting with those, something like:

    < cfset objSecurity = createObject ("java", "impossible") / >

    < cfset storeProvider = objSecurity.getProvider ("JsafeJCE") / >

    < cfset Application.sslfix = true / >

    < cfhttp url = "" #chase_api_server #/ ' "

    result = "http_response.

    method = "post".

    port = "1401" charset = "utf-8".

    clientCert = "#cert_path #/ #cert_file1 #

    clientCertPassword = "#cert_password #" >

    < cfhttpparam type = "header" name = "SOAPAction" value = "updateUserProfileRequest" / >

    < cfhttpparam type = "header" name = "Host" value = "ws.payconnexion.com" / > "

    < cfhttpparam type = "xml" value = "#trim (my_xml) #" / >

    < / cfhttp >

Here is what I see in the newspapers of the CF, can someone help me interpret what

    is happening?

    Thank you

  • How do I know my version of Java Jre I am with my WebLogic Server?

    Hello.

I have a little problem import Java classes (really is the JAR file) in Oracle Forms 11g, this error:

    "java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: prueba/Prueba: version unsupported major.minor 52.0.

I guess because I use different JRE versions in my IDE (NebBeans 8) and the Java version of my Server WebLogic I use running Oracle Forms 11 g.

Is there any file I could pick up my version JRE or Java in my (Oracle 11 g, part of WebLogic)?. I tried to check the 'default.env', but I did not find anything.

    Thank you.

Let me save you the time of hunting and pecking.  11.1.1 both 11.1.2 use Java 6 home of the Oracle.  It is the JDK used by the manufacturer.  So if you have built your class (or pot) with Java 7 (or newer) it will fail to import via the forms generator.  We do not change the version of JDK Java 7 home of the Oracle of v11.1.1, but in 11.1.2.2 it can be done even if a patch would be necessary.  This patch would be necessary both for the Builder and deployment environment (if they are not the same).

Bug 17039532 - contact the Oracle support to get the fix for this issue.

    Java 8 is not supported.

  • Web start questions after updated JRE (7u65)

After the latest JRE update, my departure from the web application no longer works, the update has been associated with JRE 7 day 65 (JRE 7u65). I was able to recreate it on different machines, I get the exception message is very helpful:

JNLPException [category: launch file error: Exception: null: LaunchDesc]

And in the Java Console, I can see the following output:

    # Java Web Start Error:

    # Could not find class main se.linkon.sabine.clients.sabineclient.invoker.NBRunWrapper in...

Do you have an idea what is wrong? Why the web Starter cannot find class main? This could be a bug in JRE 7u65? I've tried my application with JRE 7u55 and it works smoothly.

    Best regards

For me, this problem has been resolved by putting the main pot in a jar that contains the main class.

I had the same problem with an application that uses a wrapper pot that has just a signed JNLP and a manifest with a classpath in the real main container (and anything other than this one pot) but it contains no classes. I was able to solve this problem by adding a few wrapper class files in the jar of wrapper and use one of those as my main class.

I'm unable to identify changes in the release notes of 7u65 that causes this problem though. I also have another application where the packaging has no main class, but it doesn't have the full path. This application does not have this issue.

  • TWS IBM Tivoli and PT 8,53 issue

After improving our tools of 8.49 to 8.53, our share of IBM Tivoli TWS scheduling tool has stopped working.  The information available to us at this stage to IBM are PT 8.53 is not supported and the TWS psagent will NOT work with PT 8.53 (see end of this post for the IBM TWS error logs)

We ensured THAT TWS has the last psjoa.jar of 8.53 PS.  This jar file is needed by the SSC and used by the psagent to connect to PROCESSREQUEST CI and plan necessary works.  Someone at - it outhere know a solution or workaround to allow IBM TWS work with PT 8,53?  Thank you!

Thanks for any help on this issue.  We have identified the problem, our solution and we are now in the testing phase.  The main reason is PT 8,53 beginning required JRE 1.7, PT 8.50 to 8.52 required JRE 1.6.  IBM TWS still does not support JRE 1.7.

IBM had offered to our team of TWS compatible Java 7 files to solve our problems of 8.53 PT connection.  We join tests in smaller environments and seems to have good results.  Thank you all for your support and your help on this crucial issue.

  • Problem with JRE 7 (version 2)

    Hi all
We are currently assessing JRE 7 through our application, but I'm running into this issue:

    My code looks like this:

    If ((newSelection! = null) & & (newSelection [0]! = null))

newSelection has the value zero, then the first part of the condition is false. I expect that the second part is not evaluated, but I get this exception:
    Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0

This was not the case with JRE 6.
Is this a known bug in JRE 7?

    Please let me know.
    Thank you

As I said that the condition was working OK with JRE 1.6. I got the exception only with JRE 7

The real question is: whence newSelection? Because somewhere something that changes an empty array (length = 0) is used instead of a value zero. There may be something to do with a change in part of the JDK (webstart, for example), but you must first find where begins the change of behavior.

  • Workaround for JRE proxy for local addresses always bypass proxy

    Hi all

I am currently dealing with an issue with the proxy in java configuration.

Situation: I need a proxy server to connect to the internet, and I have a few addresses configured in Internet Explorer that bypass the proxy server.
    example of how I have it set up: *. Google.com; * 212.115; 62.69.179.198

The address at which I am trying to achieve is not in the list of circumvention, or beaches excluded in the bypass list.

Initially, I got java set up using the browser settings. I thought he didn't pick up the settings of the browser at all.
However after you have configured the proxy manually in java it still did not work.

During the search, I came to the conclusion that as soon as I activate the "bypass proxy server for local addresses" in Internet Explorer, or manually in java.
Customer JRE automatically bypasses the proxy and always uses "proxy direct =". As soon as I turn off this feature, he began to use the proxy server.

I have no idea why this is happening?

Why do you need to check this option then? Simply configure Java/browser to use the proxy and add it to your list of exception/bypass. That should do it. "bypass the proxy server for local addresses" is a bit ambiguous and depends on the way your network is configured and what is defined as a local address. Is your LOCAL proxy server as well or you are using an external proxy server?
