  Update, thanks to 2 guys who tried to help.i have installed the thermaltake & pc works well so far. Fan face down over my video card, but it sucks air, not beaten down like the saleswoman (airflow is very well) I realized the heat had 8 pins 12 volts connect has been able to use 4 of them with no problems. Next project will be updated in about 3 months of graphics card, so I try to get help for this. Thank you all

• HP envy h8-1455 quadro 600

  I am unable to get a Quadro 600 PCI-e to work with my desire to hp h8-1455. When I install the card I get 3 long beeps and the computer turns off.

  I tried two different cards, so I know that the problem is with the computer.

  Is there a reason that this card would not be supported?

"To use Hyper-V, you must enable" Virtaulization technology "in the BIOS. Settings for the "Virtaulization" technology must be located in the BIOS under 'Security system' as follows:

  Security system allows to change the settings of virtualization technology and data execution prevention. Data Execution Prevention helps to avoid operating system security breaches.  Enable virtualization technology if required by the virtualization software.

  Use top and down arrow keys to move an item. Then press the right or left arrow button to change the setting. Press F10 to accept the changes or ESC to cancel and return to the previous menu without saving changes.

  You are comparing apples and oranges. You will need to use the laptop computer audio input ports.  There is a mono microphone on the side entry laptop computer case.

  If you look through cookbooks of online channel available for lovers electronics audiophile you will be, after you find the diligent search a circuit for an impedance adapter that allows connection to the audio input on computer ports laptop yor.   I have one that I did for a cassette recorder for the traditional Dutch songs for my back his stepdaughter when she was five years old. I'll look for it and if I find it I will post a picture. I used a box of tobacco shag for a case if I remember correctly.   I'm trying to find a Broadcom driver.  I can not install HP Support Assistant (get a job pending, waiting for a response).  If I try to have HP scan my product (after you have entered my model #), I get the following error message.  Does anyone have an explanation for that?  Thank you.

  HP is not all drivers Win 10 available at this time.  Your best option is to run updates of Windows and HP.  This will ensure that your software and drivers are up to date.  Also, here is a guide to common Solutions to win 10.

• HP Envy 750-116: can anyone recommend an upgrade of the power supply for HP Envy 750-116?

  I have a HP Envy Office 750-116 and need to replace the power supply 300W with an upgrade to a more powerful.

  I was look at is CORSAIR CXM CX550M 550W 80 PLUS BRONZE or the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 80 series. I have kniow that they are all two excellent PSU.

  My concern is with the connector that the 750-116 uses to the optical drive. Looks like the kind of connector you see go to a laptop, DVD player. (It of really small and is marked P5)  I have a spare part HP 460W PSU I could use, but it is not a connector that would work. So I hesitate to buy Corsair or the EVGA without knowing if I'll be able to plug into this weird DVD connector in the HP Envy.

  Someone out there has run into that and find an answer?

  Optical drives are still a thing? Wow! Any ways OP. On these new machines. HP uses a slim with an owner drive

  Connector for it. You won't find it on the other PSU. You will have to abandon the drive if you replace the stock PSU.

  So I hoked finally HDMI up to an ASUS PB278 27 "2560 x 1440 monitor and it works!

  So the laptop CAN lead full 2560 x 1440 over HDMI (as expected) - just don't forget the screen itself will also accept the resolution on the HDMI and DisplayPort not only.

• XPS 8500 does not turn on, power supply problem

  XPS 8500 shipped on 18/01/13 so only a little more than 1 years. does illuminate, check psu and it's fine. reduce mobo or power button module. want to try to bypass the module by jumping pins on the mobo, problem is that I can't find any list of the pins for mobo or power button. Any help would be greatly appreciated since comp is barely over the years and cannot afford a new right now. Called Dell but no help it cause guaranteed missed, which took them 5 transfers and 45 minutes to tell me that :)

  If the green light on the power supply goes off, it detects an anomaly. So, it is not the power button that does not work.

  1. Visually check all ports USB for damage, misshapen or twisted for example contacts
  2. Try to turn on with nothing attached (no keyboard, no monitor, no mouse, etc.)
  3. Setting power off unplug and power button press / hold for ~ 15s open the case and carefully reconnect all RAM modules and PCI cards in their locations. Check the power cable from the power SUPPLY mobo and CPU. Cable control to all readers, video card etc... Pull the mobo battery and power press on/hold button for ~ 30, replace the battery (right-side-to the top).
  4. Check the cable to the module button before (F_PANEL connector on the mobo)
  5. Check before USB cable to motherboard
  6. Etc.

  The manual is hereif you need information about all of these connectors.

I downloaded the installer of Windows 8 features full driver. When you run it I get a prompt of Windows 8: ' do you want the following program to make changes to your computer? Yes, the dialog box disappears, and then apparently, nothing happens. I get no installation procedure, no Wizard, nothing. The status of the device in the Control Panel does not change.

  If anyone else has experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Interesting, Joe, what you say, you can not install the printer right now. For more information you connect the printer wireless via USB or with an Ethernet cable?

  If you install with a USB cord and that you have connected the computer before installing the software then you have probably installed on accident the Plug and Play of MS and not full of HP drivers. I would make sure that if that happened that you remove these drivers as completely as possible from the computer after disconnecting the USB cable. Then, follow the link and install the drivers full features:

  I want to add a second hard drive to this Envy 17 j170ca, but I'm surprised to see that is missing a cable/connector on the 2nd HDD slot.  I'm new on laptop, so these "tiny" cables are foreign to me.   Great choice of computer.  I have the 810-135qe Phoenix.  This is a very good for gaming.  I did it faster by adding an SSD.

  Here is the page of Product Specifications .  If you look at the section "Berries", it shows that there are 2-5, 25 "and 3 - 3.5 drive bays".  For this reason, I am sure that there are additional power connectors.  I'll check my computer when I have the time to see how many are available and report back.
