junk/spam emails

I need an answer to this question... It seems that a LOT of people have the same problem, but I am yet to see any sort of response from Microsoft, which are the people who should be dealing with this problem since it is their site, or just someone who knows how with success to BLOCK these people. I have 50 or more per day. I'm sick of it, a little help please

All TabathaStubbs (or someone) needs to do is tell us what e-mail program is used and then the instructions can be provided describing the way to block mail from unwanted senders (even if the e-mail problems have nothing to do with Windows 7).

If you found emails from sites you have never been on then they got some site that you WERE on your email and provided with your e-mail address and they can have it shared or these other sites have found a way to steal email addresses.

If you put your e-mail address on a Web page, and later you start getting spam emails you receive spam emails is because you put your email address on a Web page - it isn't for lack of Microsoft you put your e-mail address on a Web page.  So think about that, before giving your email address.  Or do an another e-mail address for such things that is separate from your favorite 'good' email address.

At the end of the day, if you get a lot of spam, it's because of your own activities and where / who you shared with but just about every e-mail program has an email address how to block messages from a single sender or domain.  That might take some diligence and perseverance to keep blocking or by adding to the list of blocked senders.

Tell us what e-mail program you use and if you find how to add in your block senders list some kind person could not search in Google for you and send you the instructions.

If you get unwanted 50 emails per day, then to begin blocking these 50 junk emails per day until they slow down or stop.

If there is one "take me off your mailing list' or 'unsubscribe' option (and you use) and electronic mail is not a legitimate site you tell spammers that your e-mail address is beautiful and alive and well, then you will get more spam emails.  Encourages to send more.

It is not Microsoft fault you get spam e-mails and Microsoft cannot fix this - you have to fix it.

    original title: Spam e-mails

What do you mean by "archived" contacts?  If they are not contacts that are currently available to you, then there is no way that your PC could be sending mail to them.

It's the easiest thing to send an email from any address you like in the world.  This is not an indication that your e-mail account has been compromsed.  He could have, but changing your mail server access password can prevent this.  The usual cause of people receiving messages that look as if they're from your is because your address was used as the address of sending junk e-mail.  It is very common and does not mean that your PC or any PC, you never hit sends the mail.  It is something that you can only order if your mailbox has been compromised.

They can ensure that your messages do not go to junk anyway by adding your address to their address books, or by marking your email as a safe sender address.

What is more likely is that the e-mail application sends an email in plain text instead of HTML, or any other header is get marked by Google's algorithm for spam detection.  But no matter why Google thinks that the message is spam, there is nothing on your end you can do. If you could a spammer could use the same trick to never marked as spam.

  • How can I prevent the Thunderbird sending spam emails?

I work as a consultant and use Thunderbird as my email of the company. Last month, emails from one of my customers were going to spam. I added their addresses in my address book. In the menu setting junk, "does not automatically mark messages as junk if the sender is in:" I chose the "collected addresses" and "personal address book." Several times I have marked the emails as being "not junk". However, emails should continue to go to the spam box. Now, Thunderbird has started to send mails to other shippers with this domain name to junk food too. How can I fix? It is not only frustrating, but is impacting on my ability to run my business. Thank you!

Well, you are more than likely using the IMAP email and seeing the record created by your ISP.
As already said Thunderbird does not use the word spam for anything whatsoever.

Unfortunately the Mail app in iOS is nowhere as robust as that on the Mac. Junk e-mail filtering is usually done by the e-mail provider, in my case Yahoo, and they do a good job. I could contact your provider and see if they can help you.

  • My hotmail account is sending spam email.

I changed the password and it is always the case. Someone is spoofing, do not access my account directly, because there is no way that they brute forced my second password, and even if they did, there is nothing to gain by it. I scanned my computer with MSE, and it comes back clean. I frequently use ccleaner to hold all the junk mail and I perform scans of my hard drive on the complete daily.

What is going on? Don't treat me like a fool. I know the way engineers think users. I would kill to have access to this bug report Studio product that use you guys, so I could see your engineers trying to pin this on the user base. Bleh. If direct e-mail is compromised, let us know!

    Hello

If someone is Spoofing emails that appear to come from you then they probably never
had access to your e-mail account. Instead, they have either a copy of your contacts
list or just an email from you or one of you where you were one of the recipients. Those
could be gleaned either your computer, the computer of a friend, or hacking
any site or intercept an email on your behalf or to you (you may not be the main)
    (beneficiary).

Once they have this information there is nothing you can do to avoid that they don't
send usurped messages. Warn your friends that is happening and they
can be entitled to install rules such as parodies are treated as SPAM or JUNK
    mail.

I've even seen usurped by email that appears to be from a valid user name however
This name doesn't have an e-mail account on the mail system used in parody.
As SpiritX - AT - realmail.com may be a valid account, however, parody used
SpiritX - AT - wrongmail.com. The latter could still be considered an email address valid
SpiritX if it was allowed through JUNK and JUNK e-mail filtering. (The - AT - has been used
instead of so that those addresses would not be filtered by auto responses.
    as if by magic.)

    ============================================================

Proceed to a very thorough check for malware and then change your password by e-mail.

The reason why you want to do this is to make sure no more hacking your computer is
still in effect (if it has been hacked). You have changed the password once but I would
Change it again after these checks.

It is possible for a person to send the email that 'seems' to be of your
account but that is not really - called "Spoofing." That means its 'Possible' emails
were not really you, although they may have your contact list. Have someone
who receives the e-mails to check the header to see where he is actually sent by and
NOT only the answer to the address.

  • iOS 9.3.1 Mail App crashing on the main window - a SOLUTION. Can be linked to rogue/spam email

I had a problem with Mail crashing several times today and was close to restore my phone but am happy that I stumbled upon a solution until I did it!

I'll copy / paste of the other post I made on the discussion board:

I had a problem this morning with the Mail App unexpectedly crashing when opening on my 5s iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 (last updated).

In case someone knows something similar, I found a solution that was remarkably easy.

Trying to open a mail, the app would show the display of messages for a fraction of a second, and then the crash. Nothing worked - quit smoking and a retry of the app, reboot / hard re-boot of the iPhone, leave all specific applications, disabling of e-mail accounts, settings etc.. I was beginning to think that I have to do a hard system restore, but thank God I have not, as it is a major PITA and I found the unexpected solution.

In any case, I noticed that I could get in Mail by opening one of my emails from the Notification screen. Everything seemed fine, but if I close this message to return to the main window of Mail, the application crashed once more. The main window is appeared to be the culprit. I noticed that several new Spam messages were visible on this screen this morning.

So here's how I found the solution: my computer, I myself sent a priority email, which came on my screen of notifications. By using this link directly to open the message, Mail worked fine again. Then by using the arrows to zip directly from a message to a message, I worked my way through the new emails, including the unrecognized Spam I deleted. Once they were gone, I back-arrow in the main screen of Mail and Voila! No more crash.

So, apparently, there are messages that can crash the Mail app on iOS 9 simply by being visible in the main window. Be aware of this and if this happens to you, with Mail blocks instantly whenever you open it, try this approach before restoring your system software.

You could also try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. You may need to search the mail pane covering scribbles to the left. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.
