Just updated, now Muse says it is not connected to the web

Update V 7.3 Build 5 CL782274 Muse CC.   Now when I open Muse he says I need to connect to the internet, then says internet is not connected.   I'm obviously because I can contact Support.  What happens here?

    Not sure, but the wrong update of KB2823324 could be the culprit.
    Please note that the MS MS13-036 Security Bulletin released on 9 April 2013 was re-released (revision V3.0) on April 23, 2013, to replace the defective KB2823324 update with a new update KB2840149 to NTFS.sys when it is installed on editions supported for Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

    According to V3.0 of revision of recommendations MS13-036 Update FAQ & MS:

    -Update of safety KB2823324 expired on April 11, 2013.
    -April 11, 2013, Microsoft has provided advice (see: KB2839011 - Update April 24, 2013) that all customers should uninstall the update of security KB2823324 (even if you were / are not experience difficulties) and exceeded the associated packages. Other references may include: KB2839011 released to address security Bulletin update problem (published by the MSRCTeam on April 11, 2013).
    -All customers need to apply the new KB2840149 update (to be protected from the CVE-2013-1293), released on April 23, 2013 update that replaces the expired KB2823324.
    -Microsoft strongly recommends that customers with the update of KB2823324 still installed, must uninstall the update has expired "prior" to the application of the new update of KB2840149. Please note that customers who do not remove the update expired will keep a list for KB2823324 under updates installed in the Panel.

    These entries should still be there if you right click on an image or an area with a background image.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

    It is probably a longshot, but a lot of things in the land of windows is not sensitive to capital letters as Unix is.  I wonder if your new password you put through powerCLI mixed uppercase in it and if the capitalization was abandoned by command windows powerCLI Analyzer, or he interpreted as all capitals or something.   If you can still get through the powerCLI you could try to reset the password again to something simple without capitalization mixed case and if your password on ESXi strategy requires a special character, try something different than a "$", like a "_" (I find that a '_' is less likely than some other special characters (, as a '-' or a ' / ' to cause problems with analyzers.).

    Edit:

    Another thing, you can try before playing with the password once again, is to create a different username ESXi using powerCLI and see if the password ends up what you think, it should be, and if you can get with the client vsphere using it.  In this way, you can find out if there are some problems with certain characters or Cap through command powerCLI Analyzer without losing your remaining root by powerCLI access.  After some tests, you can understand what went wrong with your initial password change and may be able to fix it with less risk of losing access.  I also assume that you can not create a new username on ESXi who is able to change the root password no matter what authority give you it, otherwise, you could create a new username with PowerCLI, then connect to the client vsphere with it and change the password to root from there.

There is a red cross between my computer and the internet in the network and sharing Center.  Also, on the lower right part of my office internet connection symbol has a red x.  I had a home network before this new modem/router.  Now, I can't put my home network since the system says that I have no network connection.  How can I fix it?

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities. The problem description, I understand that you receive a message from the network and sharing center that you are not connected to the internet. Provide the following information:

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

    Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

    Yes, I had the same issue and have also windows 7. Here's what I did to remedy.

    1. go to your Start menu and in the search the bottom type in cmd menu.

    2. right click on cmd at the top of the menu, and then click "Run as Administrator". A black box should appear.

    3. type netsh winsock reset. It should invite you to restart your computer.

    4 restart your computer and then open itunes again.

    I did and now my itunes is on the rise and running and connection to the store. I hope this helps!
