My center network and sharing, says I'm not connected to the internet, even though I'm

Windows 7 professional 64-bit.

Just got a new modem/router DSL which is wired connected to my office.  I have access to the internet by opening Internet Explorer my network and sharing Center says that I am not connected to the internet, even though I am. There is a red cross between my computer and the internet in the network and sharing Center.  Also, on the lower right part of my office internet connection symbol has a red x.  I had a home network before this new modem/router.  Now, I can't put my home network since the system says that I have no network connection.  How can I fix it?

    Hi Pop Boy,

    Please come back to us!

You said that the connection is limited.

This means that the PC is connected to the router, but the PC has not been assigned a valid IP address, so you can not actually in the Internet. It can also indicate that a valid IP address has been assigned, but the PC isn't an Internet connection. If you are connected to a home network, try restarting the router. If the system is connected to a domain or a public network, contact technical support for this network.

Uses Windows 8.1 for over a year with no access to the internet.  Today, I can access is no longer the internet using Explorer, Mozilla Fire Fox or store apps.  (Tried to install a game just to test the internet connection-no luck).  When I try to connect the computer just sits there with the indicator connection just spin but never passes through.  I have good indicated WiFi (Internet) access.  While they inspected the updates, the only thing that appears on the current date is some Microsoft Silverlight is.  Could that that may cause my problem?  I didn't do any changes and have no problem until today.  I'm not always well informed in this area and I am at a total loss as to how to proceed, what to check... hope someone can advise me.   Thank you, DebbieG211

  • Update iOS 9.3 for iPad (MD339LL/A) says I am not connected to the internet (I'm)

I checked and the iPad is indeed hip and functional with and internet connections. What is the problem, why won't she even try to update (9.3 is already loaded, supposedly)?

You restart the iPhone and then try again. Hold home and sleep / power button together until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).  If this does not work, try logging on iTunes, App store and try the install again.  Settings > iTunes and App Store and then enter your Apple ID, and then disconnect.  Wait 10 seconds and log into iTunes and App store.
