Kaspersky reports disabled in Action Center

Original title: cannot depend on the antivirus

System and Security Action Center said my protection against viruses (Kapersky anti-virus) is disabled. When I clicked turn on now, he asks me if I want to trust this editor and run the program. I click Yes and nothing happens. I even restarted my computer and it is still saying Kapersky is off, but the program itself seems to work very well and is all updated. Is my computer just not aware that Kapersky is working or is there something wrong with my anti-virus.

Hello Kristi Lauer,

You can try the methods below to resolve this issue:

Method 1:

a. try to open Action Center > Security > programs see it installed the firewall and Antispyware.

b. you should get a drop-down list that indicates the status of each and the possibility to select the ones to use.

Method 2:

If this doesn't fix the problem, I suggest you reinstall the suite Kaspersky Internet Security and check if you have the same problem. You can uninstall the software in the list programs and reinstall. You can refer the link that will give you information about this below:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

  • Hurt, reports MSE Action Center is off

Hello, I meet real problems with my action center in my window 7 64-bit, SP1 computer.

I create a thread for this question because a lot of people have experienced a similar problem, but no clear solution has been explained.

    The problem:

My problem seems to double. My Center of the action (AC) appears to be generally defective.

I first noticed a problem when the captain reported that Microsoft Security Essentials has been disabled when, in fact, MSE has not been extinguished. It was working fine. See the image below.

I tried to solve this problem, in the end, to uninstall MSE.

I uninstalled MSE, then, I rebooted the computer.

When I rebooted and waited for notification of HQ to bring up the taskbar, which I expect to contain the same caveat as before, which would have been correct since I had uninstalled MSE, I was surprised to find that a problem has been detected. I open HQ and found that no warnings were reported. Even more concerning, I found that when I clicked the down arrow for "security", was missing several elements in the usual list - the "user account control--> on" and the "Network Access Protection--> Off" were given, but the "network firewall extra," "Windows Update", "virus protection", "Spyware and malware protection, ' and 'Internet security settings' were not indicated. They have not been reported in KT; they have nowhere to be seen.

Then, I have generated a system health report. The report states that "the Security Center has not registered an antivirus product." This report was right, because I had uninstalled MSE. The disturbing part is that, at this time, the AC has not been corresponding; It showed that the two issues mentioned above in the section 'security '.

I reinstalled MSE from Microsoft Web site. When I did this, AC poster correctly all the elements in the "Security" section, have reported that MSE has been activated.

Then I restarted my computer. When I rebooted, the same two warnings AC illustrated in the picture above popped up. MSE is running, but the captain reports that it is turned off. This report is incorrect.

Both warnings disappear from the AC and all the elements in the 'Security' section are displayed correctly if a new definitions file is downloaded for MSE or real-time protection is turned off and then turned back on again, but they reappear after restarting my computer.

    The Question:

How can I make the center of the action show the correct information, as it is supposed to, when my computer starts first?

    What I did:

    I already have:

    • Verified that the WMI repository is consistent
    • Run SFC - no issues found
    • Run a fix on the Windows Firewall and Security Center
    • Uninstalled and reinstalled MSE

    The result:

None of these have solved this problem.

How can I get the action center working properly?

Please do not post generic recommendations or to take steps I have already taken.

Please do not hesitate to publish recommendations technically involved.

    Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I apologize for the delay. I have the answer. After "round and" round generic advice, I just decided to try some more specific actions.

If you experience this problem even and you want to fix it, you'll need a PC running the same version of Windows 7 that your PC works lot of work but it works without problems, with regard to this point.

Here's what I did to solve the problem:

    1. Create a system restore point.
    2. Run regedit.exe as administrator.
    3. Go to Center of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Action.
    4. Compare the permissions and attributes of ownership of this key and all subkeys to your work PC.
    5. Change all permissions and property attributes for interest on the defective PC keys as they are the same as those on the operation of the PC.
    6. Go to HKLM Software Microsoft Security Center.
    7. Follow steps 4 and 5 for all keys and subkeys found in the path in step 6 above.
    8. Restart your faulty computer.

I hope this helps. It worked for me.

  • Action Center does not recognize Kaspersky Anti-virus

    Use me Kaspersky Anti-virus.

His works without a problem, but my notification action center he said protection against viruses (not found).
Windows has no fint antivirus software on this computer. But me have Kaspersky 2012.

This isn't a security problem and not a Windows problem but a problem of Kaspersky. Is best to consult the FAQ of Kaspersky or send a note to the Kaspersky technical support.

  • Windows 7 Action Center indicates that Windows and McAfee Antivirus & Firewall are both disabled.

    Original title: Jlj1952

My Windows 7 Action Center indicates that Windows and McAfee Antivirus & Firewall are both disabled. McAfee analysis shows that everything works. Looking @ my control panel shows Microsoft Firewall is enabled. Can someone tell me why I started getting these messages that no protection exists? Thank you.

    Kind regards

    James

    Hi James,

1 did you change on your computer?
    2. do you get an error message?

This problem could be related to Mcafee. Please temporarily disable Mcafee and check.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the problem does not persist, then there are certainly problems with Mcafee protection. In this case, please contact Mcafee support for assistance.

    Just reply with the results.

    Thank you

  • Non-existent problem reports Action Center!

Hello, I have a dv6 Hp Envy with Windows 8. The problem with the center of the Action started yesterday. Action Center said suddenly that my firewall and anti-spyware are disabled. I have Norton Internet Security on my laptop and I went to settings and checked and anti-spyware and firewall were both lit. This problem is still there today. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Norton Internet Security, but still no change. I'm sure the problem comes from the center of the Action.

There is a problem.  You have Norton Security in, and which is known to cause this problem.  You said that you have tried to uninstall, and the problem was that there was no security on at all. Uninstall Norton again (if you haven't seen the Defender, I have and love) and restart your computer. Then go to the center of the Action and click the button to activate Windows Defender, the problem should disappear.

  • WINDOWS 8 Action Center reports off firewall/anti-virus/antispyware, McAfee says that all are turned on and running. Can not get the corrected message.

WINDOWS 8 Action Center reports off firewall/anti-virus/antispyware, McAfee says that all are turned on and running.  I tried to turn it on through the Action Center, but nothing happens.

Thanks for the reply.  I appreciated the recommendation run malwarebytes because it gave me peace of mind knowing that he found nothing.  The error of origin correct auto in the last two days seemed so it was an update from Microsoft or a McAfee update that has straightened things.  Thank you once again.

  • Permanently disabled, Windows Security Center cannot be re-enabled or restarted.

So I opened a file (like a fool) obvious malware and there is the Windows Security Center will be automatically disabled. Reactivation and restarting via the menu of Services only solves the problem for a minute or two, after which I get an Action Center message informing me that the Security Center is disabled later. I ran full scans with Malwarebytes and AVG Free, which neither identify all threats. Spybot S & D seems to identify that Security Center is not running, but "fixing" with S & D only reactive and restarts the service, after which it is invalid promptly thereafter. Can anyone help?

The fact that you can re-enable and restart the service and then see off again (if I understand correctly your information) is a strong indication that there is still an active infection on your computer (as opposed to the impossibility for the throw at all which is often the result of inflicted malware corrupted registry).

Use the Windows Firewall and BFE (base filtering engine)?

I recommend that you run the following tools in more malwarebytes and AVG.

  • Action Center is out of control

    I have reinstalled Windows 7 64 on my HPE-510 t.

Everything works fine, including Laserjet P1006 and Deskjet 3050 printer and the USB controller.  Test the pages look beautiful.  Drive external drive has no problem talking to the computer.

I have this icon of the persistent Action Center telling me the printer drivers and the USB driver must be installed.  So I installed the driver laserjet three times, twice deskjet printer driver and USB driver once. Everything works well, as far as I can tell.

Why don't this recall Action Center and it's all small yellow triangle!  Go away?  I can't think of what I have to do.

    Does anyone have advice?

    Richard

    Hi rich,

    You can try this:

Right click on the Center of the Action in your taskbar and open it > Change Action Center settings >

Under 'Maintenance Messages' > UNCHECK "Device Software" > OK

Disable any other thing that is bothering you.  The service here's help; If it makes you crazy, this isn't helping.  The smile.

  • NB200 - Action Center cannot be started

    Hello

the last weeks I was not able to open the center of the action on my laptop, I get a message that the action center can not be started.
    I have toshiba nb 200 windows 7 32-bit

    Thanks for your help

    Hi al1707,

Using some security software that block the start-up of the Action Center? Just try to disable the security software and try again.

Also, check if the Security Center service runs. You can check this in Windows Services (start > services.msc).
