Keyboard a long delay by typing, made noise of rattling on speakers for each trait.
I am running Windows XP on a Dell XPS 400 desktop computer. My keyboard developed a very long delay by combination of keys and would make a clicking sound on the speakers every time that a button is pressed. I used a Logitech wireless keyboard, so I changed the batteries, checked the range to the receiver, still nothing. I bought a wired keyboard USB (new Logitech), thinking that my wireless keyboard was bad. The wired keyboard does exactly the same thing. I checked keyboard settings and everything is set to the fastest setting. I have troubleshooted the device, and that it works correctly. I guess it's some kind of virus or malware, but I use McAfee and I didn't do anything. Also, I tried to do a system restore and I can get the system restore menu, but my mouse moves sporadically and the keys are unusable (it works fine everywhere else). The only command that I can navigate to with the keyboard is the RESTART button. So I can't run a system restore. Any ideas on what it is or how to get rid of?

I use Windows Vista for about 3 years now, it has been hurt on the first day. However, it is the biggest problem I've ever known.
My PC is currently the entire installation, which means that all the software, drivers and personal settings are applied to the way I would like it. But lately, I have had opportunities indicate that loggin, there was a long delay, after typing my password with the message: "preparing your desktop" displayed on the login screen (the PC was night shotdown, not having changed anything to the system), then I am connected to a desktop where I lost all my custom settings : wallpapers, plans, location of the updated table on the page icon, were all gone as if I start Windows for the first time, and every program I tried to run from there thought while they started upward for the first time.
My office, I know, has completely disappeared. How can I get it back? Where at - it go?
I am a school teacher and my student missions, etc. are in the files on the desktop.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
Please keep in mind that I'm not a techno person and very little familiar with several computer attributes.

Remote Desktop, response delayed when typing using the SHIFT key
I have a laptop running Vista professional that I used to connect (DSL) to a desktop computer using remote desktop (XP) work. Several months ago, I started noticing a response delayed when typing using the SHIFT key. For example my name, Garth, might get typed Garth, the text could (for example) get typed as 9 example0 and so on. The delay of the effects as well the pressed ALT key and assigns these keys on both sides of the keyboard.
I did not used to have this problem and wonder if an automatic update to my laptop (vista) could have caused this problem. This problem does not exist when I connect the laptop using office away from my local Starbucks. My other laptop (older) doesn't have this problem at home or on the go.Well Garth, it seems that the problem may be with your home network if you have 'no' to this question when connecting to a local Starbucks.
While you're at home with this laptop and connected to your DSL, it is a problem if you are 'not' connected to the desktop computer? Or is it a problem regardless of whether you are connected or not connected to the work computer?

Sculpt Microsoft comfort keyboard no longer works correctly
Several times a day my keyboard no longer meets all the keystrokes or sometimes double on strikes. I can type a sentence and find only the occasional shows on the screen or more characters I typed (e.g. "character" indicates "cacter" or "ccchaaraccterr"). At first, I thought it was the batteries in the keyboard, but have lost a few sets of batteries, I found that out the receiver to the USB port and plug it into another port works for maybe an hour or two, and then it happens again. Putting the receiver into the original USB port solved the problem again. Removal of the receiver and put it back in the same port do not solve the problem. Any ideas gratefully received.
Hello
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.
Rest assured that we would do our best to help you.
This problem can result from a software conflict drivers obsolete or third parties with the drivers.
I suggest that you try the following and check if this solves the problem.
Method 1: Safe Mode
I suggest you to start the computer in safe mode. If the keyboard works fine in safe mode, and then try to start the computer in a clean boot.

Start settings for Windows (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-safe-mode
Method 2: Clean boot
Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot:
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After troubleshooting, refer to the section «How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting»
Method 3: Run devices and devices Troubleshooter
Follow these steps to run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter:
- Press the Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
- Select Troubleshooting.
- Select show all in the upper left corner.

really long delay before rendering starts?
I have this ongoing problem (CC2014) where there is a long delay before rendering starts. Nothing fancy or heavy, no effect, MacPro/Yosemite/64 GB of ram, made to the internal SSD flash drive. Sometimes I see a 2, 3, 4, 5 minute delay before construction starts, then my comps short and simple, restore in seconds. Just AE text, shape layers and files placed. No business network, no other applications running.
Any ideas?
Mike
If you use multiprocessing, turn it off & see what happens. If the time-out period goes away, you may need to reassign your processors & memory for multiprocessing in the AE preferences.
And it never hurts to purge the memory & cache before a final.

JETech 2010 keyboard no longer works correctly!
Keyboard no longer works. At least remove them and T keys do nothing. I have blue tooth, forgotten unit redefined and networks... Any other ideas please? Thanks in advance X
Try the keyboard on another Mac or PC. If it still fails, you know the keyboard is broken. You can also try the keyboard when it is started in recovery as a basic test mode. That will tell you if the keyboard works well when a single copy of the operating system is running without all your installed applications.
OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support
Select the option to browse the web to try the keyboard in Safari in recovery mode.
If the device is 2010, you should seek to buy a new device, otherwise if it is new & still in warranty, return it to the store or the manufacturer.

Pad at the top of the keyboard no longer works after installing Windows 7
I have a cl dv7-1273. Just changed from Vista Home Premium 64 for Windows 7 64. Win 7 installed OK. After you install the pad at the top of the keyboard no longer works in the dialogs like this. When I entered the numbers here I had to use the keypad. Keys still work in Word, Excel, Evernote, etc..
Someone on the forum had the same problem of pad during the upgrade to win 8. They solved the problem by uninstalling Comcast constant guard. I removed a constant guard and now my keypad work. Is there something in constant guard that is in conflict with the keys from HP laptop during upgrade to Win 7 or 8 Win.

Want 5530: Long delays want printing 5530 All in One
Our printer worked beautifully for a long time. Now, he seems to have an unusual problem.
When print us something, there is a long delay before the start of printing. Once printing begins, sometimes to normal speed. I have not measured the delay to see if it is still the same amount of time. The delay is measured in minutes. Often I'll print something and then go do something else until I hear the printer start printing. During the time I am waiting, responses to the ping packets very good printer. It is suitable to the management tools and access via its web page (as long as you do not ask to print something). That tells me that it is not a network problem. T.He network in our House is wireless. We tried printing from several different computers to Windows 7, and the behavior is the same.
The version of the firmware on the printer is ORL1CN1547AR. Updated HP says that there are no newer drivers available for my system. I find anywhere that my computer is going to give me the version number of the installed drivers.
I tried power cycling the printer several times. My laptop is restarted daily.
No idea where to go from here?
Hi ppeters86,
Please try printing HP and the Scan doctor for me!
What happens if you make a copy of the glass of the scanner of the printer? You get the same type of delay? Copy of Documents or Photos.
In the meantime, we will try to disable IPv6 on the printer to ensure that IPv4 is used by your printer and your router on your network.
If your printer has a control panel with display, find the IPv6 settings in the advanced network configuration menu and set it Off orDisabled.
If your printer does not have a display, use the built-in webserver (EWS) to disable IPv6.
From a computer on your network, type the IP address of your printer in the field URL of your Internet browser.
NOTE:
If the Web page appears empty, try another Internet browser.
Click on the network or network tab and open the section or page corresponding to your type of network: wired or wireless.
Select enable IPv4 only (or similar).
Figure: Example of IPv4 configuration
Click on apply and wait for changes are confirmed.
Try to print again.
If it helps, please consider clicking on "accept as a solution." And, please click the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
I hope hear from you soon!

October 11, 2011 updated catchy so long delays for IE8 and Outlook Express
After you install Microsoft Updates on October 11, 2011, after a system reboot, Internet explore 8 and Outlook Express experience long delays before starting. During this period, the Task Manager is also locked, so I don't see what process is at the origin of the problem.
I narrowed down it to KB2564958 or KB2592799.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the KB2564958 and the KB2592799 and the problem disappeared.
