Keyboard Bluetooth pairing code problems

I have a keyboard microsoft bluetooth keyboard 6000, after getting a blue screen that I lost the connection with the keyboard, when I try to associate the keyboard of my computer, the computer detects the keyboard, but as I go to the next screen, it immediately jumps to another screen that informs me that I need to use the code for pairing with the device. Why?

Hi Freckles1,

1 have you used the matching code provide with the mouse and check if it works?

2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

Pairing code is another term for a number that associates your computer with a Bluetooth compatible device. The security key terms and pairing code are often used interchangeably.

Using authentication keys compatible Bluetooth devices

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/using-passkeys-for-Bluetooth-enabled-devices

First, I would say that you are using the pairing supplied with the product code and check if it works.

If the previous step fails then remove and then reinstall the device

(a) click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click Bluetooth devices.

(b) select the device that is not working, and then click Remove.

(c) click Add, press the reset button on the unit (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), check the box my device is set up and ready to be found and then click Next.

(d) if the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.

(e) follow the remaining instructions in the wizard.

Make sure that the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is attached and turned on, and that the device is in use and detectable. If you don't know how to turn on discoverability, read the instructions provided with the device or check the manufacturer's Web site.

  • I can not enter the pairing code (0000) of my headset bluetooth in windows 7

I'm trying to connect a headset bluetooth with windows 7.  However, Windows 7 gives me a 6 digit code for pairing while the headset of pre-assigned pairing code is 0000. I tried to contact the manufacturer (in China) but without success. I also tried the Microsoft online help, but it does not show me how to enter the code for pairing manually. Here's what he said

"Some wireless devices come with their own pairing code (sometimes called PIN or password). You may be asked to enter this code when pair you the device with your computer. Windows tries to select the best pairing method for your device and give you instructions that often include a pairing code. However, some wireless devices have their own code, you will need to find matching.

Even if you know the pairing code, it can be difficult to get the code into a device. Some wireless devices. Others, such as Bluetooth headset, have not a keyboard or a screen.

Here are some tips on how to find the code for pairing for a wireless device:

    • See the documentation provided with your device. The pairing code might be that are listed or printed on the device itself (often on the bottom). All wireless devices come with a pairing code.

    • If Windows encounters problems during the pairing process, it might give you the ability to create your own pairing code. If you choose this option, you don't need to use the code provided with the device.

    • If you have entered the code for the device, but Windows does not detect that you don't have, you may need to enter the code by pressing a key on the device labeled 'Enter', 'OK', 'Return', or something similar. For some devices, such as mobile phones, you may need to select a menu option to enter the code. If you can't find a button, button or menu option, see the documentation that came with your device or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

    • Make sure that you type the pairing code quickly enough. Usually, you only have 30 seconds before that the device or the computer stops its attempts to pair. The exact duration depends on the device.

    • Make sure that the device can display a pairing code. Some devices, such as headsets, might communicate readers Windows that they can display a pairing code, even if there is no place to display it. If this is the case, and Windows ask you to verify a pairing on the device code, try pairing with the device again. Windows should allow you to choose a different pairing option the next time you attempt to pair. If you are unsure which option to choose, see the documentation that came with your device, or visit the manufacturer's website.

    • If you're within range of other wireless devices, you might be unintentionally pairing with someone else device (for example, someone is close with the same model of mobile phone). Make sure that you are matching with the appropriate device.

    • If you are in a public place, there could be multiple devices with the same name in range of your computer. If you see multiple devices with the same name in the add a device Wizard, you can rename some of the devices in the list to distinguish them. To rename a device, right-click, and then click Properties. On the tab General, type a new name, and then click OK.

    • Windows may ask you to verify that the same code appears on your device and your computer. If these codes do not match, or if no code is displayed, you might unintentionally pairing with someone of another device. In this case, Windows may display an incorrect pairing code or no pairing code at all. Make sure that you are matching with the appropriate device.

  • You may need to place some wireless devices in a special pairing mode that allows computers or other devices to connect to them. Most Bluetooth compatible devices enter this mode when they are madediscoverable. Other wireless devices could it must be in pairing mode and is detectable. For more information, see the documentation that came with your device or go to the manufacturer's Web site. »

  • Bluetooth device paired without code OK - BUT when you want to use it, I'm wondering for a pairing code

I have a Bluetooth device that cannot get a pairing code. I carefully checked the three options of bluetooth connection and the 3rd works, i.e. one that allows the pair without using code.

So I pair without code - and Windows 7 allows me to do.
BUT when I run the program that connects to the device, I get a pop up Bluetooth asking me a code!
It is completely buggy and, moreover, I am not allowed to take control - I know exactly what device I want to use, I see in Bluetooth devices, but for "reasons of security MS" I'm not allowed to use it!

  • iOS 9.2 bluetooth pairing

Does anyone else's problems do with Bluetooth pairing once upgraded to iOS since iOS 9.1 9.2? As soon as I made my Garmin Forerunner 630 was no longer able to communicate with my iPhone 6 (Note: it worked perfectly, while running iOS 9.1 before nightfall iOS which should be upgraded).

Measures taken to try to resolve the problem

    1. Forget the camera and rematching. This has compounded the situation - the iPhone could not 'see' the device to try to match.
    2. Pairing my Garmin 630 with a friend (Android based) phone - it works immediately - he can see the Garmin and cannot pair it, no problem.
    3. My Garmin 630 with my iPad Air matching - the iPad is also running iOS 9.2 and he too can not even 'see' the device.
    4. Pairing my iPhone 6 and iPad in the Air with a bluetooth (EU Boom) speaker - it works.
    5. Complete reset of my iPhone 6. Twinning with 630 Garmin still does not work.
    6. Reset complete my Garmin 630. No change.
    7. Following the advice of Apple here: Wi - Fi and Bluetooth: potential sources of interference wireless - Apple Support

    Conclusion

In summary, it seems that Bluetooth still work on the Garmin 630 and the iPhone and the iPad, but Apple has made some sort of change in 9.2 iOS that prevents matching with certain types of Bluetooth device.

    Similar reported problems

I've seen a few similar reports on support for other devices forums (not "seen" / "detectable") after the upgrade to iOS 9.2:

Does not connect via Bluetooth, iOS 9.2 to my home theater of sonny,

Since iOS 9.2 my Bluetooth PlayStation keyboard no longer works

iPhone 5 sec bluetooth not working after iOS 9.2

as well as more general questions of Bluetooth for devices that are already paired:

    No bluetooth after 9.2

iPhone 5 sec bluetooth not working after iOS 9.2

    iCade/bluetooth controller + iOS 9.2

None of the posts that i reference above gives no real solution.

    Questions

1 Apple Please recognize that there is a problem with iOS 9.2 on Bluetooth?

2 - is anyone else seeing problems similar to what I reported and the posts that I've referenced?

Problem solved, a bit of a schoolboy error.

For some reason, the iOS to 9.2 upgrade means that the phone and the Garmin 630 were no longer able to communicate. Try to pair again via the iOS Bluetooth settings screen did not work (the unit has not appeared).

It seems that matching works only if launched from the Garmin Connect app works on the iPhone / iPad. Once you have coupled the app will Garmin 630, then appear in the Bluetooth settings screen standard iOS, showing as connected.

    In summary:

    (1) not all Bluetooth devices will not necessarily be available for matching in the iOS Bluetooth settings screen (didn't know it until now), and

    (2) previously associated device no longer works after update iOS. Not a huge problem, but a bit annoying.

    Hello

Some wireless devices come with their own pairing code (sometimes called PIN or password). You may be asked to enter this code when pair you the device with your computer. Windows tries to select the best pairing method for your device and give you instructions that often include a pairing code.
