LabVIEW Express signal

Hello

I'm just starting to learn how to use labView: signalexpress and I'm looking for advice on a project.

I tried to produce a signal in a loop with a "saw-tooth" ramp that lasts for 2 seconds, going from 0V to 1V and is followed by a 1 second pause of stimulation (between two sawtooth ramps). I'd be very happy with the direction of someone who can give me a brief step by step in the production of this specific model.

Thank you!

GYepes,

The signal you want to generate is not a conventional signal, so you will not be able to create the signal directly in SignalExpress.  I would suggest creating an array of points in an ASCII file and then import this set of points in the SignalExpress stage.  Take a look at pages 3-1 to 3-8 in this document for instructions on how to do it: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373873f.pdf

    p.s. that's using LabVIEW 8.6 and SignalExpress 3.0

    Hi Andy,.

I opened file lvm in Signal Express and saw the same thing you knew. I had a look in the file in the header properties and noticed that the number of samples has been set to 1. I've changed that to 1276 like you who have many data points and they are all now showing on one data set. So, it seems that is trying to create a set of data for each data item in the file lvm. Try changing the number of samples in 1276 and let me know if this is the correct waveform, you need to see.

  • Why the extreme to express signal is broken

I have an Airport Extreme b, g, n, ac cable (ethernet) to my router Verizon Wireless. The router has been updated by Verizon end of last year and works very well. From there, I have an iMac with 802.11 b/g/n/ac cable into the extreme as well. I have a Windows pc in another room wired with ethernet to the extreme as well.

At the back of my house, I have an Airport Express b/g/n I used to extend my Airport Extreme signal for the past 18 months without any problem. I had problems of signal with the Express and it seems to re-defining the Express worked, but the image of my signal has changed my Airport utility on my iMac. Previously, the signal was solid from the far down to the Express, and the image on my iPhone 6, at the launch of my Airport utility has been broken from the extreme to the Express.

Now the images are reversed where my iPhone has the solid signal, and my iMac broke the line signal. Someone knows why? It works, but the lines threw me.

A dotted line between the terminal of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme indicates that the Express connects to the extreme by using a wireless connection.

What do you want?... or... the Express linking to the extreme by using a wired Ethernet cable connection?  If If this is the case, there should be a continuous line between the Express and Extreme.

What device do you have used when you reset and reconfigured the Express... the iMac or the iPhone?

Did you completely turn off the iPhone, has waited a minute or two and then he fed up and checked the AirPort utility again this way?

  • Construction of a wave of fishing without Express/Signal Processing Pallete

EDIT: I forgot to attach the VI. I'll do it when I get home in 45 minutes

    Hey guys,.

I'm working on a laboratory project that drives me crazy. We're building a VI that generates a sin, but we are not allowed to use the Express palette or sine wave functions. So we are stuck using tables and the Sin function. I have attached the VI if anyone can take a look. I would try to explain where he goes wrong, but... it's all so... One thing that I recently broke is the 'dynamic' wave is no longer scrolls to 10 Hz, but I think it's an easy fix. I hope someone can give me some pointers on what goes wrong.

Also, I have attached a copy of explicit assignment details in case you do not want to see them.

Display two sine waves on a single graph. Generate sine waves in a While loop that updates
at 10 Hz. At each iteration, the second wave should gradually phase shift by a certain
    amount (degrees).
Have controls for frequency, the displayed number of periods, displayed points, phase shift, and
difference between display of waveforms. Make sure that the axis of the time-displays correct units. All the
controls must be active and adjustable, while the program is running.
Tip: You may find it useful to use a chart of waveform and the wave to build function.
Do not use the range screw Express for the manipulation of signals and signal analysis. Using more arrays

  • Machine using LabView trigger signal

The company I work for has just acquired a new machine which measure the size of the particles and other variables. The machine is supplied with its own program that records and analyzes the data. However, we want to get around that and read the data directly in LabView and so be able to filter, organize, and sort as desired.

Attached are pictures of the configuration of the machine. The red circle indicates the cable that connects the PC to the machine.

While the machine will operate its own, there will be no signals transmitted to the PC without a trigger command. It's my first question: how to provide the appropriate command of LabView machine so he can generate the right signals.

    The manufacturer of the machine:

The colloidal Dynamics AcoustoSizer (AZRII) consists of a central processing Signal (EPSC) and unit of different sensors, shown in figure 2.1.  They are controlled by the application owner software that is running on a classical computer in MS WindowsTM based (PC).

Under the direction of the application, the EPSC generates pulses of sinusoidal voltage on a sequence of prescribed frequencies between 1 to 20 MHz. These pulses are applied to the sound Amplitude Electrokinetic and mitigation sensor (ESA), where they generate ultrasonic signals in the colloid.

These signals of ultrasounic, which contain information about the size of the particles and the load, is converted to voltage pulses by mitigation ESA probe sensors, and impulses are then directed to the EPSC for the signal processing. The processed signals are transmitted to the computer, as well as data from the pH, temperature and conductivity sensors. At the end of the measurement phase, the data are analyzed in the PC to determine the particle size and zeta potential.

    Information on the measurement process:

A typical measurement sequence is as follows:

The PC issues instructions for the EPSC applied pulses of high voltage excitation frequencies prescribed the probe to ESA/mitigation.  This is according to two modes, the ESA, and mitigation.

The extent of the ESA, this voltage pulse is applied between two flat and parallel electrodes that are in contact with the suspension. The suspension runs vertically upward between the electrodes with a brace polyphenylenesulphide (PPS), the ESA probe. One of the electrodes is adsorbed on an acoustic delay line, opposite which is mounted a ultrasonic transducer thin.  The applied voltage pulse causes the colloidal particles (which are almost always electrically) to shake back and forth. This query generates sound waves, a phenomenon called the Amplitude sound Electrokinetic, or the effect of the ESA. The sound waves of the ESA spending since the suspension along the glass delay line. When they reach the end of the delay line, the soundwaves created tension through the transducer. The voltage pulse then crosses the EPSC signal processing circuit. The Fourier transform of the pulse is determined by the EPSC and then transmitted to the computer. This Fourier transform is a complex number with the two amagnitude and phase (or argument).

At present, we are measuring to thirteen different frequencies, at the end of the sequence of ESA measure we have so thirteen amplitudes of ESA and thirteen phases stored in the PC. This set of quantities is called the spectrum of ESA.

The extent of the sound attenuation of the output pulse EPSC is applied to a piezoelectric transducer. This generates a pulse of sound wave which passes through suspension.  This impulse and various reflections that come further in time are all measured, stored and analysed using the Fourier Transforms as in ESA measures.

At the moment, that we measure to 13 different frequencies, at the end of the sequence of mitigation so we have amplitudes of mitigation thirteen and thirteen phases stored in the PC. This set of quantities is called the spectrum of mitigation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, which depends on the Protocol of the machine.  Do you have the link susanianak provided that help any?  You will need to check the documentation mfg on the appropriate command to send to start the cycle.  This can be done easily with LV, but it needs to work with the Protocol set by the seller.  Your photo shows what appears to be a serial cable. Use the VISA for this.

I didn't see a second question.  Are you asking how to acquire information from the machine?  If you can find a driver for this hardware, as suggested SusanianaK, which would be preferable. You can build your own.  Since it's RS - 232, it sends the information in a serial data stream.  Refer to the doc for the equipment to see what are the parameters of the series.  If all goes well, your controller can work as a host and got the info as it comes.  But there may be a set of commands supported to extract it.

  • LabVIEW 10 - signal divided the nodes do not work right! Help!

I'm new to labview. I have experiecne in scale and recorder data configuration and maintenece diagrams. However there seems to be a problem with my programming.

I have a modeule of analog input of NI9205 in a bed to e-net. I am trying to input 5 voltage signals of differenctial, with scaling different and all with individual user diaply gauges. Everything I read says this process should be easy, but I went round and round with the signal split, the Assistant of sort of signal and even a few comporators. With the siganl split, I get a reposne of all Visual calibers, any entry I powered. I also tried to use MAX but my experience does not allow me to coplete the process.

Review: I'm trying five entry 0-5 vdc signals of five sepreate analzyers all with different scales. I need siplay the values in real-time to the public using five sperate gauges. Help, please!

Entries open have an ability that allows you to charge up to a value close to the entry of the duct.  This creates the crosstalk between channels.

Try the unused entries in the Earth.

In addition, it is likely that your 0-5 V output CO Analyzer is simple is complete, no premium.  Watch manuals for the instrument and the DAQ hardware to see if you are correctly connected.

  • To input analog shutdown when the analog output is completed and synchronization

    Hello

I'm trying to get my LabVIEW program to send analog output to a computer and read acceleration using the cDAQ-9184. Chassis output that I use is the NI 9263 and the chassis of entry is the NI 9234. I generate a signal of white noise using LabVIEW Express signal generator.

The first problem I have is the synchronization. I had an old VI that has begun to measure the acceleration just about a second after the entry has been given to the machine. I used the LabVIEW tutorial on how to sync the analog input and output, only to discover that it does not work with two different hunts. Then I found another tutorial that shows how to synchronize different frames between them.

The second problem is the cessation of the LabVIEW program. What I want to do is to generate the signal and then simultaneously send and read the input and output analog, respectively. It is because I don't want a phase difference or any shorter signal for a direct comparison. But as soon as the signal is sent to the machine, I want the entry to stop analog playback and then then the LabVIEW program must stop. I want to be able to choose any length of signal to be generated and stop as soon as the entire duration of the signal has been sent to the machine.

I tried 'DAQmx stop', "DAQmx Timer" and 'DAQmx's task made?' and none of them have worked for me. It is also my first time on a forum posting, so I hope I gave enough information. I enclose my VI as well. The VI shows I read an entry for the analog input voltage, but I am only using this to try to get to the work programme.

I'd appreciate any help I could get.

    Thanks in advance

    Peter

    Hi Peter,.

I have some recommendations for you that I think you will get closer to your solution. First of all, I assumed you meant that you had 1 chassis (cDAQ-9184) who had two modules in it (NOR-9263 and NOR-9234). My next steps are based on this assumption, so if it's wrong, please let me know.

For your first question about the synchronization, the code you provided is very close to what you need. You need to do, however, implement architecture master/slave for startup tasks DAQmx functions. To do this, you can add another frame to the flat sequence structure and put the master start task (input voltage) after the start slave (output voltage) task.

To manage your second question and that the program ends at the point where you, the first step is to get rid of all the logic that you use with the local variable of length of time. Rather than use this logic, just wire the node "task performed?" of "is task performed?" operate to stop the loop. This will cause your loop to stop as soon as the signal is sent to the machine.

I have some other recommendations for you that will increase the performance of your program:

    (1) rather than writing on file inside the last loop, you can use the DAQmx Configure Logging (PDM) .vi. You will place this VI between DAQmx Timing.vi and DAQmx Start Task.vi to the task of the analog input voltage.

    (2) after the last while loop, you want to stop the task and analog outputs as well with another DAQmx stop Task.vi.

    (3) rather than using a local variable for the entrance of displacement and wiring it in the DAQmx Write.vi, you can wire directly from the output waveform of the wave to build function node.

That should help you get started in the synchronization of these tasks.

    Hi Yogev_sharvit,

There is not a way to save the files to a previous version of the Sound and Vibration Assistant. I encourage you to contact SAGE, who was the source of the files, and whether they have a 2011 version available. Otherwise, it may be necessary to configure the steps in the wizard. I've included a screenshot of the file opened below. Unfortunately, this does not bring as much light on the different steps that we would.
