  • C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll worm xp

I have a slow XP machine running.  In troubleshooting, I remove all items with msconfig startup by disable it all the button and rebooted the machine.

On a msconfig, a verified MvCpl.dll command line was there.  The original on was also there uncheck the box.  I searched my C NvCpl.* drive and received:

I just re-read the entire thread. I was struck by two things:

    1. this PC once stood on a field.
    2. this PC had Trojans.
I am aware you reconfigured the PC to change the field to the Working Group, but still there could be something in profile looking for something on the field. I suppose you could create a profile of costs, but I don't know that I would waste my time since then...
I think the PC is always compromised. Malware can sometimes be VERY difficult to remove. Sometimes it SEEMS to have disappeared, but there will always be a nasty, almost impossible - to detect rootkit now (or maybe even a "bootkit' hidden in the boot sector). The symptoms you describe certainly indicate the presence of malware; the PC could very well be a part of the "botnet" at this time.
I recommend that you make sure that all data is backed up and nuke the drive and start from scratch. It is a hassle, but it would probably still be the fastest (and certainly the most efficient) way to treat this disorder.
If you had an unlimited period and wish to experiment and explore (but I think you said that this PC belongs to a friend), you can search the Web for tutorials of Process Explorer and start a thread on Bleeping Computer or a similar site for interactive assistance. But I really think you will be better off if you flatten and rebuild.
Good luck and happy new year!

  • C:\Windows\System32\***32.dll errors, from the start of the system and start the program.

Hey. I received error messages and may not know whats going on. At the start of my laptop (Vista Premium 64, 2.0 ghz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB hd), a series of error messages from reading: "* program title *-bad Image."      C:\Windows\System32\*Dllname here*.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program using the origial installation media or contact your system administrator or support software provider. "The name of the cottage change programs and I get messages of 15 or more at the same time. The first so-called 'C:\windows\system32\fwcfg32.dll' error count, the next will say "khdtj9jg32.dll" and the final few say "dispex32.dll". Whenever I hit "ok" in the message, the name of the program window in the changes of the header. I tried to solve my problems (with no success) and do you have a file search for the files in the locations of scpecifed in error messages. I discovered the three files (fwcfg32.dll, khdtj9jg32.dll, dispex32.dll) do not exist in the system32 folder, but they do exist in the "syswow64" folder The system32 folder has files fwcfg.dll, khdtj9jg.dll and dispex.dll in if (note the "32" is not included in the file names). I was on my computer for 7 hours yesterday without problem, and everything I did was organize music files in my documents. I went online to look for something, then shortly after my computer slowed down upwards. He acted as if the RAM was complete (although he was not even 25% used), so I just rebooted my laptop in the hope that a RAM reset would fix it. Then restart I started to receiver messages error and also whenever I start a program. I scanned my system and removed 7 Trojan horses... even if I run Norton and Webroot SpySweeper somehow these got... that's not the point. I have a feeling easily, that played a helping hand to my troubles, and those who are deleted from my computer. Now, I have to recover from the disaster. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time!

P.S. ~ just like a note aside, I did several searches on the internet, including on the microsoft forums, for the names of 'fwcfg32.dll', 'khdtj9jg32.dll' and 'dispex32.dll'.dll files and got zero results.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: after Windows 10 Upgrade on Officejet 6700 scanning does not work anymore - can not find scanner

    Hello

Having finally decided to take the plunge to upgrade to Windows 10, I discovered that my Officejet 6700 Premium previously peripheral work will scan is no longer.

My connection to the device is via a wired connection with a static IP address on the printer. It all worked perfectly under Windows 7, but now, I can only print to the printer to win 10.

I tried to uninstall the previously working software (under Win 7) and downloaded the latest version of the HP (OJ6700_1315 - 1.exe) software, which BTW is not a patch on the previous software that I'm used to using - but it did not help. Still no joy with the scanning feature.

I tried to uninstall all software, so I tried to launch the Wizard installation HP which seemed to re - install the last set of software (as above) with the same results - I can print it, but if I try to scan using the Officejet 6700 App it appears a dialog box saying "inaccessible Scanner. Scanner communication cannot be established. Make sure that your product is powered, check the connection and esnure that your network runs correctly. ...".  Amazing result given that the application displays all levels of printer ink, and I can print - every time!

I tried disabling the firewall - no difference, still do not see the scanner.

Tried using other windows applications; Paint, etc. - no joy.

I also tried the "HP Print Scan doctor and" nothing does - even, he gives up and says to contact HP support, with no details about what to tell them!

I hope someone else out there could have had the same problem and found a way to make it work?

    Thank you!

    Ok

In case anyone is interested, I bit the bullet and did a new install of Windows 10 on a formatted drive. I then installed the same software that I had tried on the "upgrade to Windows 7" windows, 10, and everything works as expected.

Therefore, there is definitely something wrong with the upgrade process, and the removal of the HP scanning software & resettlement never did his job correctly.

I look closely at the list of DLLs etc., charged by the printing software, but could not detect anything immediate.

Then, certainly in my case, a new facility was to solve this problem.

    See you soon,.
