Lack of network adapter ISATAP, no internet connection

Using an Advent laptop on version 6.0 service pack 2 for Windows Vista Home premium. 32-bit operating system

I don't have the ability to connect to the internet (no wireless or cable)

At startup, the following messages are present see the:

1: Windows needs to install driver software for your unknown device (but as there is no internet connection I can't do that)

2: btnda.exe WSAStartup() failed or if you have the wrong version of the installed WinSock

When there are 2 triangles of yellow exclamation point in Device Manager,

1: - network adapters - isatap, {5EDEBEBF-0129-4577-AE4F-3DA330B44453}

In the properties "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (code 32) »

2:-devices-device other, unknown

In properties of this device is not configured correctly (Code 1)

Something that may be equally important is the laptop has rarely been used or have access to the internet for about a year, so recently executed a lot of updates.  She started well a few times and now unable to connect to the internet more.

I tried to do the system restore, but him available restore point only earlier today so was not helping.

I thank very you much for your help, if I missed any important detail it please just ask for them and I'll try to add them as soon as POSSIBLE.

Hello

Read this, you can:

"On a Windows Vista-based computer or on a computer Windows Server 2008, the Microsoft ISATAP map appears with a yellow exclamation mark next to it in Device Manager, and you also receive an error message"

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932520/en-us

Windows cannot load driver (Code 31), etc.

RESOLUTION

You can ignore this error message. This error message does not indicate a problem with the adapter. The adapter will continue to function correctly.

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update and that you can not do) or follow this method:

'Remove an update'

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

  • I need two network adapters to enable internet connection sharing in windows 7?

I want to share my internet connection wireless local network to another PC. But I can't seem to find the sharing tab in the properties of the wireless network connection dialog box... Please someone help me out... Thank you

    NO YOU DON'T NEED THAT

    HERE'S HOW DO
    Here's how:

    1. Log on to the Windows (the one that is connected to the Internet) host computer as administrator
    2. Go to network connections in your control panel by clicking Start > Control Panel > network and Internet > network and sharing Center and then click on "Change adapter settings" in the menu on the left.
    3. Right click on your Internet connection you want to share (for example, Local area connection) and click on properties.
    4. Click the sharing tab.
    5. Check the option "allow the other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection". (Note: for the sharing tab appears, you will need to have two types of network connections: one for your Internet connection and another that client computers can connect, for example, a wireless card.)
    6. Optional: If you want other network users to control or disable the Internet connection, select this option.
    7. You can also optionally allow the other network users to use services running on your network, such as servers of e-mail or web servers, according to the settings option.
    8. After ICS is enabled, you can Set Up an Ad Hoc wireless network or use the new Wi-Fi Direct technology so other devices can connect directly to your host computer to access the Internet.

    Tips:

    1. Clients that connect to the host computer must have their network cards placed to obtain their IP address automatically (look in the properties of the network, under TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 adapter, click "Obtain an IP address automatically")
    2. If you create a VPN connection between your host computer and a corporate network, all the computers on your local network would be able to access the corporate network, if you use ICS.
    3. If you share your Internet connection on an ad hoc network, ICS will be disabled if you disconnect from the ad hoc network, creating a new ad-hoc network or close the host computer.

    What you'll need

    • a Windows 7 computer with an Internet connection and another network card
    • client computers that are active and capable Internet connection TCP - IP
    • network card for each computer
    • modem for the entire network

I'm having a problem with my Windows Server 2008 R2 showing without Internet access network icon when, in fact I can browse the Internet without any problems.  Troubleshooting reveals nothing.  It is set with a static IP address and worked before but now shows the yellow warning triangle.  I don't know what caused that change but I was wondering if anyone had an answer for her.  Thank you in advance.

  • I lose the internet connection randomly but never lose my wireless network connection.

I use a hp pavilion dv9500 with 64-bit vista sp2 and built in a wireless adapter that will fall randomly my internet wireless connection, but maintains my wireless network connection with an excellent signal strength.

    My (non-permanent) fixed
I know how to reconnect to the internet, but it forces me to diagnose a repair my connection. It then displays "cannot connect to Server primary dns (75.75.75.75)"after which it gives "things to try" who never work and a button 'Reset the ip address' that I click. " repair bar will fill up to half way and go to a new screen solution that shows more 'solutions' and a "reset wireless adapter" button which I click. the remedy bar will fill and then display windows can not solve the problem and go for help. I then manually disconnect from the wireless network and my computer will automatically reconnect to the network and to the internet. It takes about five minutes to fix, but it happens so often that it is getting boring. The process will not work if I only to reset the ip address and then disconnect from the network, only to reset the wireless adapter and then disconnect, or just disconnect from the network and reconnect. I have to reset the ip address and the wireless adapter and then disconnect from the network.

The internet connection will tend to disconnect when I watch a lot of youtube videos, when I download large files like a game on steam, or just just randomly when I use it. I'll use it for a long time and he can't let it go, but sometimes it will go down to ten minutes after I had just reconnected in a drop-down list. It happens randomly without another warning that download time will increase from 2 mb to 50 k in two seconds all about or stop the loading of a youtube video when I look at it.
I searched everywhere for an answer, but it's as if it were a new problem for all humanity or just im the only person who does not know how to solve this problem, because there are no forums or FAQ not related to my problem. It is not so much a serious problem such as an irritating problem that appears at inconvenient times or when I just want to relax and watch a video. It takes some time to reconnect and even though I know how it would be better if my connection would just stay connected to the internet at any time.
I have no idea what the problem could be that whenever I have find I never get related problems. all advice or solution would be great.
I also share this modem with other three commonly used computers: a wired office and two other laptops that the two are connected wirelessly. both other laptops do not have the same problem as mine. My router is a linksys e3000 wireless router.

  • Ad Hoc network. even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

I'm living in a college dorm and only have access to the internet via a hard line to my computer. So I wanted to give my other accessibility of consumer electronics set up an Ad-Hoc network and share the internet connection. When I originally set up the network it works fine, but after the devices go to sleep or I leave the room it stops working. I had problems to keep the internet connection to share continually, which I fixed it. I then had a DHCP problem with the hard line that has been resolved through troubleshooting function. Now, even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

Is there a way to create an Ad Hoc network that works similar to a wireless router, so when my computer is turned, it works automatically? If so, how can I make this happen without these problems?

    Hello

I suggest to activate temporarily the antivirus as well as windows firewall and check if it helps.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

  • network adapter missing e9150t

My system works fine this morning - but then the network stop job.  This system is connected through a router to the ethernet adapter in the PC.  I have a second PC connected wireless through the router and it works fine.

On the PC with the problem, Diagnostics in WIndows 7 said that it lacked the network adapter. When I looked in the device driver - the network adapter is missing. I called Norton to see if a virus has caused the problem, but they said they didn't know any problems. I tried restoring the system and supported the system a few days ago, when the system has worked very well - same problem.  I searched on the HP support site - but don't see no driver to download to restore the network card which must have become invalid or corrupted somehow.  Anyone any ideas how to fix this problem?

    Hello:

I don't know if this will work, but here are the network drivers you need for your PC. You should see the controller ethernet with an exclamation indicating it is present, but there is a driver problem.

Select the 32 or 64-bit download as applicable to your system.

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=18713&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207 * & DownloadType = drivers

If you do not see the device at all... Although opens a whole new can of worms. It could be that the network adapter to the top and dies on you.

In this case, you will have to go to plan B and buy an external USB RJ45 network adapter or internal network PCIe x 1 adapter.

I suggest you to follow these steps and check whether the problem is resolved.

    1. open the Internet Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click Network and Internet, and then clicking Internet Options.

    2. click on the Connections tab and then click never dial a connection.

    3. click on LAN settings.

Change the settings for ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) Internet:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-Internet-settings-for-ICS-Internet-connection-sharing

You can also assign the IP address manually and check. Make sure that the two network adapters should have different IP address.

Note: If you share your Internet connection by setting up an ad hoc network, the connection is shared only for that session. When you restart your computer, the connection will be is no longer shared.

If you set up an ad hoc network and share your Internet connection, and then someone logs on to the same computer by using the fast user switching option, the Internet connection will still be shared. Only by restarting the computer will end the Internet connection sharing.
