  Hi help would be appreciated, Im using parents pc at the moment = s, sound on Home Edition XPservice 3 Pack, and it is an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 Dual Core processor 3800 + 2.01 Ghz, 2.87 GB of Ram. Now the problem is that I lost an exe file and by the looks of it, im not gunna be able to recover in any case I try the download, Win CD etc. Its Sndvol32.exe which seems to have misplaced somewhere, Im using or has been properly anyway Windows Media Player 11, I think it's the microsoft default mixer soz not great with computers as long as that. • Lack of playlists in Windows Media Player 12 for Windows 7

  I installed Windows 7 and now with the help of Windows Media Player 12 to organize my music collection.  I created several playlists within WMP that are saved to libraries/music/my music/playlists.  However, when I open WMP, none of these playlists appear.  How can I fix it so I can access the playlists in WMP?

  Also, there are three playlists in WMP I want.  I tried right click and delete, but they are still there.  Any ideas on how to get rid of these playlists?

  You can follow these steps and check whether the problem is resolved:

  The Windows Media Player library database may be damaged.

  Step 1: delete the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

  a. exit Windows Media Player.
  b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
  c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
  Note: you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
  d. restart Windows Media Player.
  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files.

  Step 2:
  a. exit Windows Media Player.
  b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
  c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Step 3: Disable and re-enable Windows Media Player.

  Disable the media player by following these steps:

  a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
  b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
  c. find multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
  d. restart the computer

  Steps to reactivate Windows Media Player:

  On a considerable number of my songs on my windows media player, the timings have disappeared. I can still play them and time them, but can't burn it to a CD, because the timings are absent. My friend sent me some video clips of his cell phone, I then forwarded to my email account. Then I downloaded them to my file to download. When I tried to play in thse clips, WMP hesitated and told me because of what we call "codecs" or a file format that WMP has not recognized, videos could be played.  So should I upgrade my WMP or find something else that plays the video to cell phone?   If you get the screen to change/repair, it means that the Setup program has detected that you have already installed the plugin.

  Could someone tell me - in technical terms - that the option "use error correction" in Windows Media Player makes when copying audio CD tracks?

  I would like to make possible more precise PMR using WMP, but the lack of information about the method used by WMP special error correction makes it difficult know when or even if you need to select the option.

  For example, I wonder if the use of error correction could result in a less accurate RIP (for example, if the method used favors estimate on rereads multiples of a CD damaged surface.)   Which was probably that there was a lack of understanding between the container file and the codec here (in November 2013).  He says he's a "MOV" does not mean that he plays with the same codecs as all other MOV files.  ;-)

• Windows Media Player blocks everything!

  Windows Media Player blocks everything I want to do, downloads, files, system recovery and so on. Even when the computer turns on Media player rises and box says cannot read the file type, and then I have to close that and the only thing I can do is to connect to the internet.   I'm importing WAV files in the music folder.  The data associated with these files include time and size of the file, running that were determined by Windows and listed with each track.  Windows Media Player has the value import these files, it does.  However, in random cases, the execution time is not captured by Media Player, and so they are reported in the burn list and will not burn.  I get a message that if I play the track, the running time can be picked up, but it did not work.  The information is complete in the music folder.  Is it possible that I can manually transfer these data? (Note - since posting this question, I decided to experiment.  I removed the tracks in Media Player lacking of run times and their re-importation with the menu item drop library «Add to library...» "and they have been re-imported with run times. Eureka!)
