Laptop computer stops unexpectedly

The last 2 nights, my laptop suddenly stopped. No warning, no nothing. Pressing the button to wake it up, the screen lights up for about a second, and I get this your sickly the PC shuts down. After about 5 minutes, it will start up as if nothing happened. I noticed that the fan seems to work more than what I remember. Other than that, I have not anything new recently installed, nor made any addition of material.

This problem is caused by an overheating problem. The cutout on the motherboard is triggered because the laptop heat level is above acceptable levels

    Hello 77Kuty78,

Allows you to ensure that your system is indeed clean, see below:

Try to start your system in safe mode:

    1. Restart your computer if it is running.
    2. Press and hold the F8 key for 3 seconds after your computer powers initially on.
    3. Once you see the Advanced Boot Options menu (or beep) you can stop.
    4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.
    6. You should see drivers loading, it may take a few moments.
    7. You should then be at the Welcome screen.
    8. Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.
    9. Now, you download (free) MalwareBytes from here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol install, Update then do a scan of your system in safe mode, to ensure that it is indeed clean! Once the scan done remove anything it finds. Simply restart your PC to see if your problem has been resolved!

Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • Equium A60 laptop computer just stops

Having a problem at the time where my laptop only stop and when I try to reboot it won't work, can t enter support or whatever that it either totally freezes, the last time that he kept not stop even when I tried to boot into safe mode. The system of my son restored the last time, this time he started in debug mode and it worked.
Had to update through Toshiba recently due to problems with ATI graphic drivers (I think that s what it was). Do I have to update the bios again as I see there was an update 16 last month? This would cause a problem? It was a Christmas gift is not old.

    Hi Moira.

If your A60 just turns off running then most probably is the cause of overheating. This may be caused by the grids of aspiration being blocked (Don't stand the laptop on a carpet, or even on your lap), ny or an accumulation of debris in the heatsink from the CPU. You will find a lot of discussions in this forum describing this particular problem.

There should be no need to update your BIOS again unless you are having problems with some devices on your building. In my opinion, too many people recommend update the BIOS without any particular reason.

  • PC Windows Vista stops unexpectedly. Sometimes several times a day and sometimes not at all.

My Windows Vista PC completely stops unexpectedly and without warning. Sometimes several times a day and sometimes not at all. When I turn it back on, sometimes I have a blue screen that tells me that the PC has experienced an unexpected shutdown and communicate with my local technician. However when turning on, I am always able to return to my office. My anti-virus support told me that it is not related to a virus. Help!

It is likely some equipment or device driver issue (although we can not entrierly a problem of software).  I need a lot more information on this blue screen - EXACTLY what it says Word for Word with all the codes.  Read the messages and follow the procedures established by the MVP of the spirit in the following thread on the Blue Screen of Death.  They should help you solve your problem. http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistahardware/thread/8cd8362e-7d06-46FB-afd7-84d54b6a8ea7  I know it's long but a blue screen problems problem may take some time because there are so many different causes and we must find the right to try to identify the problem and then find a way to fix it.  One of the elements in his post is a method to prevent the system to reboot when a blue screen if you have the time to copy the information.  If the system is not turned off, but the screen does not stay up long, press prtscrn to copy the screen, then when the system boots to open Microsoft Paint, click on the Open box and click Ctrl + V to paste here you have plenty of time to copy the information and post it here so we can look at.  Do not forget to include EVERYTHING - it is unclear what could be of crucial importance.

I repeat the procedures in the messages of the spirit in the link above - just follow them and answer back here with the results.  Want to make interim reports before the end of the stteps is perfectly OK - in fact, I suggest you do that so I can help guide you and maybe eliminate some of the steps because they will provide no information, that we don't already know (or will not solve the problem because of the information that we already know.

A question, is your so hot PC anywhere on it that if you hold your hand on it, you will need to detach due to heat?  Overheating is a common cause of this type of problem.  Check that the fan doesn't work and all intake and exhaust ports are clean of dust, lint, or any other obstacle.  If this is a desktop computer, remove the cover and clean the entire interior to remove dust and lint and anything else that doesn't belong.  Make sure you do not loosen or detach the wiring or the accessories cards or RAM chips.  Don't bother if it's a laptop - it's too difficult to get inside to do a proper clean-up - just make sure that the fan is running and that the vents are clear.

I hope this helps.  I look forward to your reply with your comments about what you did to the spirit and procedures for detailed information on the blue screen error.

    Good luck!

    Hello

Could be linked to the heat, make sure that the computer has sufficient ventilation, may use a small fan to add a little.
On a PC, the cards, the memory and the cable (both ends) will need to be reinstalled. Remove all power and remove
and replace those, do not just tight. Can't do that on a good laptop.

  • AC100 - the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly

Our AC100 suffers from frequent and annoying messages: the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly (well it is said in Dutch, so I hope that the translation is good). After googeling I found many people with the same problems (but for other devices as a computer of Toshiba), and it seems that the only solution is to reset the original settings (after having a back-up).

But since everything downloaded widgets and applications will be gone then, I'm looking for another option. Does anyone have any experience with this message? How you solve the problem?

And who knows how starts this problems?

    Hello

I also recommend the return parameter of the Android to the factory settings. The widget could be saved on external source before setting the notebook to factory settings.

  • spectrum x 2: spectrum x 2 stops unexpectedly

The computer stops at least once unexpecedly whenever it is used.  does not start again, unless I plug it into the charger.   The battery is often full when this happens.  Sometimes if I get it started quickly it will be just as it was when he stopped.  Sometimes it starts, and I have to sign in and start as usual.  If I happen to have plugged in to the charger when I start it I don't have there problem.   Of course it's not ideal, I need to make it portable, as it is supposed to be.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @Twindy91,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your x 360 spectrum HP stop down after update of Windows 10. You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

I see that if you change the balanced power plan options option in the book will help. Here is a link that will help you.

Go to your power options. Select balance, then click on change plan settings. Click on change advanced power settings. Then save changes. Restart your computer and see if the options have changed.

    You can also try:

In Device Manager, click the arrow next to display adapters to expand this category
Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
Select search automatically for updated driver software.

The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

This could be a hardware problem with the battery and we need to insulate it properly. In the meantime, please try a hard reset first. Steps to follow:

    • Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is removable.
    • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.
    • Replace the battery and the charger plug it back.

  • Satellite A100 stops unexpectedly

For awhile, I had a problem with my laptop A100.

Well, I said for some time, but the first occurrence was a week ago and it was held four times in a row today.

What is happening is that even if I have the laptop that works next to my desk, he simply stops without notice.
It is connected to the DC cable, all the lights in the front are green, but it looks awfully hot.
And it's on the desk, he sat for 1.5 years.

On the one hand, I wonder if this problem could be related to heat.

Once it is closed, it will not immediately start again. I have to wait a few minutes before he wants to go again.
I ran the battery software to check if he could have the Sony battery, but it doesn't.

I don't know what is the cause and I hope you can help me to know what is the cause.

    Hi guys

I have exactly the same idea in my opinion the dust and debris prevents the cooling module working properly and therefore the temperature rises to a higher level.

The high temperature is the main reason why the laptop stops automatically.
It is a kind of thermal protection which prevents the equipment from damage.

Then try to clean the fans with a professional pneumatic sprayer. These aerosols can be purchased from dealers for different laptop/computer.

    Best regards and good luck

  • USB ports on my laptop has stopped working

Just like that, the USB ports on my DV4-1435DX just shrugged and stopped.  I received messages that says USB device not recognized.  I tried uninistalling and reinstall drivers for devices, thinking that somehow they were corrupt, but not go.  When I plug USB devices (unifying receiver of Logitech for my wireless keyboard and a mouse and a Bluetooth adapter) into the docking station, they work very well.

And don't you know just missed my guarantee in July 2010!

Does anyone else have this problem?  Will it cost me a lot to fix this problem?  I don't want to spend the money for a repair that will end up costing as much as the laptop costs in the first place.

    _______________________________________

    The PDADoc!

Problem solved.  After much research, I found a ticket five years suggested I remove all the USB devices on the computer, turn it off and remove the battery and leave it a little.  Fifteen minutes later, I start my devices back up, plugged in and voila!  It was everything is working again!

I'm glad it's workng back again, a laptop computer without USB ports was a major problem, and I imagined costly repairs that would have made it cheaper just to buy a new one.

  • HP Pavilion dv4 stops unexpectedly

    Hey there,

I have a Hp Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC I bought half a year ago. A couple of days, while I was working on my computer it unexpectedly closes. At first I thought it was because my computer was out of battery because when I turned it on, there was no charge inside. However, two days later it stopped again and when I turned it back on it still had about 21 percent of power left. I don't really know what could be the problem. I did a scan of the computer, health analysis and tested my battery as well and they were all aware.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello

After that recovery of a judgment of my computer did a startup repair and concluded, there was a battery problem. I did a BIOS upgrade and THEN a battery check and my results showed that I had to replace my battery. So I did exactly that.
