Laptop upgrades

Can someone tell me how scalable the V3 - 571G please that I think it's just a little slower than I thought it would be? If possible, I'd like to double the memory of 4 GB to 8 GB, also, I would like to replace the HDD with a SSD and finally perhaps falling upward graphics. I'm guessing that the memory is the only thing I can change but if there are other things I can do be interested to know exactly what to buy.

Thank you.

If you do not want to void your warranty - you need to give your laptop in a service. The ram upgrade - you have 2 slots for ram - depends on what is your ram current - you need to get 1 or 2 x4GB. On the SSD - you don't have to "change" the hard drive. It's too expensive to have big SSD. You can install an SSD instead of the cd-rom. You will use it for the OS + virtual memory. And probably some programs that you want to load quickly. DSS really helps

What do you mean by slow? What do you use?

Also, I want to upgrade the RAM to 16 GB and a 2 TB HARD drive . Is this possible? I don't see any customization option in the HP Shopping Web site. So how can I do? also, thanks for mentioning about cost of upgrade of these.

    Hello

Here are the specifications of product: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04031367

Go through the Page 4 and 5 of the user manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04091768.PDF

    Upgrade options:
Up to 1.5 TB drive HARD with no hybrid NAND support

Up to 16GB 1600 MHz RAM with boost DDR3L dual channel

Although Nvidia 750 M dedicated 4 GB card is indicate against the graphics options, I think not that this is possible because actually nvidia in this model is not as a card but more a chip which is attached to the motherboard. I think you need to contact HP in your area directly for this.

    It will be useful,

  • Pavilion 15 laptop: as the Windows 10 laptop upgrade will not close or wake

    Hello

Since the upgrade to Windows 10 my 15 Pavilion has acquired two new problems:

    1. It will not wake from sleep and requires a hard reboot to get it going again.
    2. When stopped down, the lights of the power and wifi stay and a hard stop via the power button is necessary.

I tried various fixes suggested in the Microsoft forum without success.  HP Support says there is no update for my laptop.  This issue is driving me crazy and I am very disappointed that HP seem so little to help.

The details of my machine are:

    Product number: F8S59EA #ABU

    BIOS: F.67-11/26/2014

    Can someone please help?

    1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.

    2. Download the Package of troubleshooting Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
    3. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
      • In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
      • Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
      • Click on stop to stop the service to run.
      • Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
    4. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
      • NOTE: You have NO need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10.  The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
    5. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
    6. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
    7. Restart your computer.
    8. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

Is it possible to upgrade the processor, ram and storage internal HP laptop - 14-ac037tu?

    Thank you

    Here are the specs:

    http://support.HP.com/ca-en/document/c04942982

You have an extremely low processor, 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive very slow so I see why you want to upgrade.

    Your repair manuals

p.37 displays the hard drive, 43 p. display the memory.

You can have up to 8 GB of RAM. It takes a single module, have run 2 gig module and install a 8 GB.

    8 GB (DDR3L-1600) 693374-005

    http://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-1600MHz-PC3-12800-KVR16LS11/DP/B00CQ35HBQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1463866034&SR=8-1&keywords=693374-005

The processors are welded on so not extensible without replacing the motherboard. Installation of 8 GB of RAM and an SSD would make a big difference, but the processor is going to hold you back without worrying. Technically the RAM and hard drive are not serviceable by the user, but if you follow the manual and do not damage anything, you should be OK.

    HP G72 - B66US laptop

    Windows 7-64 bit

I am trying to upgrade the RAM (memory) on my laptop.  Currently she has 4 GB and I would go to 8 GB.  I found the part number, but he says that it applies only to models 1.1 and 1.2.

I don't know which concern models and how to find for my laptop.  Can someone tell me what model numbers reference in terms of RAM?

    Thank you

There are only 2 slots in order to have 6 GB you mix of 2 concerts and replace with a 4. Keep in mind that you will have operation "double channel" 2 memory modules are the same. Dual channel allows the memory to run 8-10% faster. 4 concerts running dual channel may actually be faster than 6 gigabytes of modules mixed in other words.

It's the number of the product you need: F9G45EA #ABZ.

It is the 15-n233sl model and the plug you have 6 GB. See page 42 of the manual here:

    Repair manuals

The manual indicates that it takes up to 12 GB which is a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module but regularly, users have reported success with 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. For most of the users 8 GB is a lot and it would mean just remove the module from 2 gig you have now and its replacement by a 4 GB. What that you choose to do I would have 2 modules size even for enable support dual channel. 8 concerts running dual channel is likely to be just as good as 12 concerts running in single channel due to incompatible modules. • Pavilion 15-p253nu: screen of laptop upgrade to Full HD ready HD

    Hello

I have HP Pavilion p253nu 15. I've done a few upgrades - changed the wifi chip, added an internal antenna more wifi and replaced the HDD with SSD.

But now I want to replace the screen with Full HD display with IPS.

    I found this one:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Samsung-LTN156HL01-102-pls-LCD-screen-replacement-for-laptop-new-led-full-HD...

    But it is written:

Please, make sure you have the same screen resolution, or replacement will not work. HD (1366 x 768) screen using a video cable channel, while HD + (1600 x 900) and Full HD (1920 x 1080) using a cable 2-channel video, so they are not compatible. You can improve the resolution of the screen in the video cable full HD only! Please, consult the manufacturer to find compatible video cables HD + and FullHD resolutions.

My question is: do I need a cable for the new screen, and what cable or can I just replace the screen only?

    Best regards

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab083T: laptop upgraded before even starting for the first time = problem?

    Hello!

I recently bought this laptop with the intention to replace the hard drive (1 TB HDD 120 GB SSD), as well as upgrading the ram from 8 GB to 16 GB. The problem is that I have improved these things before you start for the first time. And now it complains that it cannot find a device boot, even when I insert a USB key with windows 10 iso on it. Or a cd with windows XP. He needs to have the HDD windows 8.1 original in it on first commissioning? It took a while to replace parts...

    Thanks in advance.

That's very true, I used gparted before checking this again, and it was corrupted. Very well! I ended up installing windows 10 home using a free student license. It's perfect, since I have windows 8.1 before running on the 1 TB hard drive and it was filled with bloatware, thanks to HP (no offense). So, it is nice to have a clean install. Everything works fine now, I had to change some settings of 'Legacy Boot' in the bios to boot from the USB.

  • How do I reinstall Windows 7 on Acer laptop upgrade

I bought a computer laptop acer Travelmate 7730. A year ago.

for about 3 months, I have experienced a problem with the computer about freezing, causing my computer laptop in a hold, unable to do anything with the computer freezing and any action unable to respont. I've only been able to stop it and start again, manually: (.)

I have enough of the problem, since it interrupts my daily work in school and my photoshop work to ruin.

so I thought that a resettlement would contribute to my laptop, but my computer was preinstalled vista, and I received an offer when windows 7 is released, so I've updated. now I can't figure out how to reinstall my computer

Sorry if there is no error of gramma, English is not my native language

You should have a media or recovery partition to reinstall Vista. Generally, Atl + F10.  This will reinstall Vista and from there you can upgrade to Windows 7 again.

Then go to the Acer support website and search the Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.
    http://GD.PanAm.Acer.com/home/

If you have Windows 7 drivers then download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them.
Install the drivers for the card mother/chipset first, then the SATA, LAN, Audio drivers,
and all the other remaining drivers you downloaded.

BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. Sometimes a newer BIOS update will fix the problem. Read the instructions on how to your BIOS update/flash very carefully and be more you understand the process. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.

Check the download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

  • First laptop upgrade considerations.

I am considering a new laptop of not more than $1500 for w/color correction effects, if some first Pro CC video editing effects. I'll upgrade my current laptop that is about 5 years old, a Sony Vaio laptop, VPCF215FX, 6 GB of RAM, 16 "display, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540 M w/1 GB. A couple of years, I've replaced the internal HD with a Samsung 850 PRO 1 TB SSD. Here's what I'm thinking...

    1. Get a new system with minimal cost for SSD or HD and simply swap my existing owned 1 TB SSD when arrives the new system. This will save on the cost of SSD.

    1. As I get with 6 GB of RAM today, it is normal for me to go for only 8 GB or 16 GB maybe. Maybe if I get 8 GB, be sure that I can add 8 later if you wish.

    1. I currently have a 16 "display which is tight... should I therefore avoid 15" game systems, such as the Dell laptops... great prices their but they are only 15 "poster. The 17 "Dell Inspiron with processors that have less cache of what I see. ASUS has two systems of 17 "I found, noted below.

    I don't do 4K today, just 1080 p.

For the 17 "options, I see the following systems from ASUS...

    ASUS ROG GL752VW- DH74

    http://store.ASUS.com/us/item/201510AM170008067/A18486

(with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 M 4 GB)

    ASUS ROG G751JY- VS71 (WX)

    http://store.ASUS.com/us/item/201603AM300000146/A18486

(with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 M 4 GB)

I think that this last above G751JY allows a second HD so I can add the SSD. I don't think that the GL752VW has a second option of storage.

Is the NVIDIA 980 M good for first? I can't find it on any official Adobe recommended lists of GPUS.

I'm curious to know if you think I'm doing good considerations here? Don't forget, I'm not a pro, yet in any case user and 4K is not necessary... I have no 4 k doesn't equip, no plans for everything.  Thank you.

the gtx 980 m is overkill for your HD projects and the gtx 960 territory m is quite slow. the gtx 965 m would be nice, or the gtx 970 m if you plan to use a large number of gpu fx and lumetri color. the new series of 1000 gtx for laptops should be out in a month or two. they will be exaggerated to HD as well, but can help to reduce prices on the gtx 900 series mobile phones.

as you shop around to watch carefully for the i7 processor, it's the HQ model and not the u. the model U is half the speed, but is sometimes almost the same price as some of the cheaper models of HQ. I would try to get one with 16 GB of memory. If you get one with 8 GB with upgrade plans, you may need to check if the laptop comes with 1 stick of memory of 8 GB or 2 sticks of 4 GB. some laptops asus and msi have signs of fast to easily upgrade memory access and storage. You can download and watch manuals or videos of youtube for notebook computers that you plan to see what types of upgrades are possible.

I'd also look for a laptop that can hold two storage drives. one for os/apps and other media projects. some laptops have a small 128-256 GB ssd + hdd 1 TB, which would be good for the program installation and you would just swap hard disk of 1 TB for your ssd pro 850. You can also get a usb external 2.5 box "disc to activate the 1 TB hard drive in a storage/backup usb drive. You can use newegg for laptops of filter specifications as the processor i7, 16 GB of memory, screen size, models 965 m and 970 m, to quickly refine your search for laptop computers.
