  You must copy your catalog file original from your old computer to the new computer and use it. By default, LR stores all changes in catalog file.   If you have different administrator account you can log in to that account and change or reset the password.

  What you can try is to enter the BIOS settings and set it to default settings.

  If I understand right you want to start the movie on DVD and watch it using the projector. Am I wrong?

  I guess you use preinstalled DVD player, called WinDVD. If Yes please try starting your laptop, change the external device (projector) using the FN + F5 key combination. If this happens successfully, then you should try to start the WinDVD player. If you want to change the display using FN keys, while the DVD player works it is possible that there is not any screen success only in black.

  I recently bought a TOSHIBA Qosmio X 875 - Q7380 with Windows 8. I went down to Windows 7 64 bit OS.
