Laser Jet Pro CM1415: Vertical black line

When scanning single page - all right.    When using multiple scanning flow comes out with a black vertical

the line passing through the center of each page.  I tried to clean all surfaces but no help.

Thanks for your help

Berniebka

You is not cleaned.  When you lift the adf to place the paper on the glass all the way to the left is where the leaves that you place in the ADF feed when copies.  It is on the glass, there's a small patch of dirt or debris that is causing your problem.  Sometimes you get real close to see that and sometimes you will need to use your fingernail to scrape.

My printer just started printing black vertical lines across the page today.  It happens that I have copy or scan.  Does not seem to happen when I print only.

Thanks for the link to the HP support center.  After crossing the "discoverable" mode, etc and read its documents, the first suggestion for this problem was "with the printer, unplug the power cord from the printer" to reset the printer.  This seemed to solve the problem.

Please tell me if the HP Laser Jet Pro CM1415 can be set to only use the black toner cartridge?

    Hello ACameron,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you would like to know if the Laserjet CM1415 can be set to "Black ink" only Now you can change the Options of 'color' on your computer. What is your operating system? Windows or Mac?

I'll give the Manual. On page 102, you are able to select "print in grayscale". In addition, click on 'Settings' to see if there is no additional options that you can modify.

  • HP Laser Jet Pro CM1415 can only you by default for all print in black to save color ink?

My impression is text I want to print using black ink only.  I tried using shades of gray, but ran out of all my color cartridges and still have 70% of black left!  Is there a way to get the printer to use only black ink, unless I said to use the color (for photos) so that my color ink will last longer?

If you use the "Print in grayscale" checkbox in the properties of the printer, which will force the printer to use only the black toner.  You can check by looking at the page printed under magnification.

Of course if your photos are full page that will use much more ink than, say, 5 x 7.  If you are printing photos on glossy paper rather than the typical plain paper, which will tend to use a little more toner.  Keep in mind that yields of the cartridge is based on the coverage is low (such as text), and the photos have a much higher than the text coverage.  I'm curious about how many photos and what size, don't you think that you have printed this year?

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 vertical black lines printing when you use the scanner/copier of SMA

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 Plus model N911g that I got a year out of warranty. Worked perfectly until this week when I scanned approximately 50 pages through the ADM.  During the process of digitisation of the black vertical lines began to appear on documents that are scanned or print (color or BW) through the ADM.  Scanning or printing directly from the scanner glass is not the problem.

I checked, cleaned and cleaned all (rolls, strip scanning, scanning glass) it is possible via the information provide in these forums from other veins knows on their production lines.  No change...

I unplugged the printer all the network and fax cables and tried scanning or copying with the power of the device, NO CHANGE.  Don't know what the next step might be other than the factory reset (don't have documentation on this process).  Additional suggestions would be appreciated.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Vertical black line scanned single pages and copied

The machine is about a year and treats a low volume (less than 100pgs/mth on average between pages sent from the computer, copying and scanning). Pages sent from the computer continue to print well, but for the last scan of the month or copy functions always produce pages with a thin (1 mm?) black vertical line in the middle of the page.

Have cleaned the glass several times but no joy.

    Solution (s)?

    THX.

Followed all the steps in case a link down to "shine a flashlight on the glass" and the flashlight revealed a tiny particle not detected previously, glued to the glass despite several cleanings. Once deleted, the line has disappeared. Thnaks for the end of the flashlight.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 print a single vertical black line when using the charger

OfficeJet pro 8600 print a single vertical black line when using the charger

    Hi @realestatejeann,

I see that you have found one black vertical line when using the ADF. With a few steps, we should be able to solve this problem.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Here is a document for the cleaning of the glass Strip and the underside of the scanner cover.

Vertical stripes, lines or streaks on Copies, faxes or scans.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

    Hi @scg117,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed your post about how you can't scan with your MFP HP Laserjet Pro 177fw on your Mac. And I'm happy to discuss this issue scan for you!

To confirm that the hardware of the printer is functional, you are able to make a copy with the glass of the scanner of the printer?

    To copy:

    1. load the document on the scanner glass according to the indicators on the product.

    2. close the scanner.

    3. on the product control panel, press the button number of Copies.

    4. Select the number of copies.

    5. press the black start copy button or the button color launch copy to start copying.

Let me know if it works, or if you see another error message.

If the copy works, then try the steps described in this guide, Scanner USB connection is lost (Mac).

  • HP Laser Jet Pro M225dw MFP: HP E print App does not effectively bind to the Go Daddy email (HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M225dw)

I bought a HP Laser Jet Pro (MFP M225dw) and am very excited about the mobile printing option. I downloaded the HP EPrint App on my smartphone (Samsung Note 4) and have successfully my gmail and hotmail accounts related.

However, I have problems linking my Go Daddy account.

As per a post on the forum of 2014, I have connected my Go Daddy via Outlook account, used the host name: imap.secureserver.net and Port: 143, SSL: WE. The account "seems" to link; However, when I click on my email Go Daddy Outlook icon, it brings back me permanently to the home screen, (the one that says "Photos, files, Web, Email") such that I'm never able to access really my Go Daddy email account.

    * No error message

    * Bluetooth off

    * 5.1.1 android

    * I have Norton Mobile on my phone

    * Looked at my Go Daddy security settings - no "two-step verification" or "allow the less trustworthy access apps to the ' questions

Also, I see that this app is not able to print the body of an email; is there a way where information such as details such as email/recipient of the sender of transmission time, electronic mail may be included in the print job?

Thanks a lot for your time and consideration!

    Hey @Lizaroo,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have some problems with your Go Daddy email account settings enter the HP ePrint app. For more assistance, your best option would be to contact Go Daddy directly to check all the parameters of the post that you found are correct. Some e-mail clients change their settings often so that I wouldn't be surprised if the info you found is now outdated.

Printing subject lines and headers, it is not possible to print. The reason is because many users are trying to print photos or documents. In the current situation, if a user were to send an email empty then the only thing that could print would be the attachment. This prevents clients a sheet of paper and the Ink/toner used to print.

If you have the printer print senders and subject lines you can do so by having the sender to include in the body of the email. Another alternative is to set up an email address which is the sole purpose is to forward emails to the email address of the printer. This way if it is configured to include the information in the body so you will have those printed on the page. Also, this gives the advantage of having a backup of email messages sent to the address of the ePrint printer and if something should happen to the ePrint address, you can change the forwarding address that the email and no one would never know there was a problem.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. If not, have a great week!

  • Vertical black line on Portege 3500

My P3500 screen suddenly started showing a vertical black line with interference on the right hand third of the monitor. The line disappears after about 15 minutes, but still the interference. I plugged an external display that shows no display problem.

  • HP Laser Jet Pro M251 nw: HP Laser Jet Pro M251 nw do not print Green

I use a HP Laser Jet Pro M251 with Mac OS more recent Sierra 10.12. I tried to print a document in color from Excel and others a good percentage of the document should be printed in green. Instead of green, a very light, in some cases the struggles of the naked eye to see light YTYPE prints instead of GREEN. I then ran a test of the printer color page of the utility application of HP and there is no green anywhere on the page.

All of my cartridges are 80% full or higher and I use the same newspaper, I am using since I bought the printer a few years ago. Indeed, nothing in my usual routine (for example all consumables and accessories) has changed. So, for the most part, my printer is not good for color printing.

If anyone has had this problem and, more importantly, knows how to fix? I don't want to buy a new printer, but if I do, and if this problem is not easily corrected, I will not buy another HP. I'll check Consumer Reports to get advice on a new laser printer. I really liked this good printer and have, until today, thought it was an absolutely fantastic printer.

Please help if you can. Thank you for your useful answers.

  • Thick vertical black line on the entire length of the page

I have a HP LaserJet M1530 MFP Series PCL 6.  When I print normally there is no mistake in the image, but when I make a copy I have a thick vertical black line on the entire length of the page. The black line is about 2 inches from the left edge of the page. The problem is older than the current drum cartridge which was just replaced a couple of months. Never, the problem occurs with a normal printing, copy only and occurs with every copy without exception. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

  • Laser Jet Pro M451dn: 10 Windows driver for Laser Jet Pro M451dn

I had an option to install Windows 10 for about a month now, and the official version is only a few weeks from now.

Incredibly, I see still no Windows 10 driver available to download for my printer, Laser Jet Pro M451dn.

HP has had access to the Windows 10 for a while, I'm sure, so why are they the drivers Windows 10 is not available?

They should have been available immediately after the installation of the Windows system 10 has been placed at our disposal through Windows Update.

    Hello

Windows 10 Technical Preview is available now, the official release is expected to become available to July 29.

A Technical Preview is a beta version and not a final version, so it is subject to many changes...

HP will not release prior pilots him finalises the version of the OS, around this period, you should expect a software update...
