LaserJet 2605dn colors is more saturated

I just replaced all ink cartridges 3 colours in this old war horse after run them all the way.  The black toner was not replaced and is still saturated, but colors are now 'thin' and biased towards the yellow.

Comparing a former 'supplies' with a more current status Page, I can see that yellow is almost as full as it used to be, cyan is much less, and the magenta is quite pale.

I tried to start 'cleaning up' Mode, but that was of no help.  Then I tried 'calibrate colors,"which could have darkened a bit, certainly carries yellow cyan almost to complete saturation, but only improved the magenta to halfway to the original.  A second "calibrate the colors" didn't give any additional improvement.  Just magenta will not completely saturate.

I have only three guesses which might be relevant: 1) the cartridges ranging in the machine in order, black, yellow, cyan, magenta, from top to bottom, if saturation level drops gradually from top down.  This might be relevant?  (2) these toner cartridges were purchased in a pack of three, but have been sitting around awhile.  The only thing affixed to the individual boxes of toner that resembles a date code varies only from 20120828 (yellow) 20120918 (magenta).  (3) I mainly print in B & W, so I often use "Replace supplies" in order to continue to print without replacing the color toners.  I also use this mode to "take out" the latest in a black cartridge, which often turns out to be of the order of 100 additional pages!  (I always replace the cartridge incriminated as soon as the printed pages are starting to be tinted with the color, indicating, I suppose, that the waste-toner cartridge becomes too full.)  I did this serveral times before without problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! -jclarkw

  • Photoshop colors are more saturated than the recorded files

I use Photoshop CC 2015 free trial on Windows 10.  I edit my pictures, how I wish, but when I save and view them without photoshop, the colors have changed: they are less saturated and more yellow.  When I bring them in photoshop on that color back how I initially edited.  This was never a problem for me before - I usually use Photoshop 7.0, but even if it does not work at the moment.  Is this a problem with how I save my files? Or a problem with the Windows Photo Viewer?

    Hello

Well it is because of the difference in the color profile.

You need to calibrate your machine.

Also, here's how you can check.

    Open PS

Click on Edit - > color settings

Your other software can have the sRGB profile and photoshop can have ProPhotoRGB.

You can try changing the color profile and you will see the difference

Original title: Color LaserJet 2605dn - color output

I unplugged and moved the printer and color went gray scale - have tried to printer properties and clicked on all the tabs - there is no selection output color.  I have XP.   Thank you.

I could download the universal print driver that solves the problem.  Apparently, I had a postscript driver causing the problem.   Thank you

  • Color LaserJet 2605dn printing black and white only

I have a Color Laserjet 2605dn, and all of the color ink cartridges have run dry. However the black cartridge has more than 2,000 pages of ink in the printer and it won't let me prink only black and white. It seems that the color cartridges must also have ink in them so that the printer to print. Does anyone know a work around so that I can print with the black cartridge and not buy color cartridges?

  • HP Color Laserjet 2605dn: Print is washed out/completely wilted on printer 2605dn

We have a Laserjet 2605dn HP color printer has intermittent printing problems. Most of the time, the quality of the printed output is very well, but from time to time, the print quality deteriorates completely. After a while, printing then returned back its normal quality.

The printer is on a network and serves as WIndows XP/7/8/10 and Linux machines as it has throughout his life. He has never had a genuine HP toner cartridges installed. It is not heavily used, we print usually less than 100 pages per week, often less.

The problem is that out of all the colors and black, gets so bad as to be unreadable. The printed output is so washed out it's (almost) impossible to read anything through the entire page. This can happen for all the pages of an entire document, but often it will print the first part of a multipage fine print job and then the quality deteriorates gradually to illegibility. Subsequent print jobs will also sometimes unreadable, but are also likely to print correctly. There seems to be trigger (that we can determine) this behavior or when it will happen well.

While the printer was used for a few years, he printed out a little more than 20 000 pages in total. This leads me to think that age should not be a problem. We replaced all the cartridges, tried recalibration, print cleaning pages, all without success. I found a solution for a problem of fading Magenta also requires cleaning the mirrors, but our problem is not that same as - everything fades to nothing in our printer, it is not a case of a single color fade a little, is much more radical than that.

Suggestions as to how we could solve this problem? Is there additional information that might help diagnose the cause and suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It looks like I won't get my hands dirty inside this printer after all. The boss decided it would probably be too annoying overall for me (US) to try to fix it. So he decided to buy a new color printer and remove it.

Thanks for the answers to my questions.

Now I just need to find how to mark it as "resolved", or otherwise close it, as appropriate in this forum.

  • Color Laserjet 2605dn: duplex printing with UPD

The universal print driver that runs on Windows 10 (64-bit) does not recognize on my Color Laserjet 2605dn duplex printing function. drivers passed under older versions of Windows enabled this setting on the Advanced tab.

Is there a way to enable or UPD grants only limited functionality and does not support the duplex feature?

    Hello

in devices and printers click on the right button the printer UPD icon and select printer properties.

  • HP Color LaserJet 2605dn

I have a HP Color LaserJet 2605dn. It worked very well with the Microsoft Vista operating system. I just bought a computer with operating system Windows 8 home and now my printer won't do the double sided printed (not the manual double-sided, but printing double-sided on its own). Is there a driver out there who can help with this? Your Web site was an option for Windows 8 when looking for drivers.

The default value is the duplexer is set to "not installed".  Go to the devices folder and printers, right click on the 2605, select printer properties, the device settings and set theduplex "installed" unit, apply.

  • LaserJet 500 color M551 PCL6 - Toner level error

I love my LaserJet 500 color M551 but I'm having a problem with the black toner level.  I went to spend the night to have a level of about 50-60% to 10%.  Literally from one day to the next.  I had just checked the levels during the night and the next day the black toner was low.  My use is very light.  According to the page using the number for the monochrome is 1 668.  Total is listed at 3 487.  According to the supplies Status Page 3 543 pages were printed with black and 2 154 ink with the 3, various tonic color.  The only chance 3 543 a to be healthy is if black was included in all color prints so total use of black toner without color would be in the area of 1,400 pages.   There is no way we printed 3 543 black pages and more 2 154 color pages.  We had this printer at 14 months.  We get a new pack of 500 pages about every 2 to 3 months.  At the absolute most, we printed 3 500 pages total.  Most of our impression is heavier on the color.  In fact, we have done a large number of color prints full page.  But given the way we print color is about where we might expect.  And when the black toner showed the 50-60% it was where we expected.

So what happened? Why our drop of toner level to 10 percent from one day to the next?  I tried the cat with the support, but they did lose one hour of my time and absolutely nothing accomplished.  The service was terribly slow that it was as if a person has worked 3 or 4 cats at the same time.  So I tried it and vain.  The support representative suggested that I swap cartridges.  I don't have a spare those for Exchange.  It made absolutely no sense to me to buy a cartridge of 160-$180 if he could sit on a shelf for a year while waiting to get used.  I certainly don't want to buy and open a new toner cartridge just to know, nothing was wrong with the other.   So the line of background here is... someone has suggestions?  How will I know what is the real level of toner?  Is there a way to reset the levels?

Better yet. Someone has this model of printer and a black toner empty known cardtridge?  If yes do you know the exact weight of a cartridge empty in ounces? I also want to compare this to the full weight of this model cartridge at 100%.  If I had these two weight I would be able to calculate the exact amount of toner remaining.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a simple solution to your problem: just keep printing.  There was problems with the guarantee of toner system where there are sudden jumps in reported toner level, like what comes to live.  Unfortunately, we do not have a foolproof system for reporting levels of toner, and there is no method for re - calculate and declare a correct level in your cartridge.  Toner templates does not rise, they count only down.  When you eventually replace the cartridge, it will start again at 100%.

The good news is that you have not suddenly lost all life of the cartridge, it looks just like that.  Your printer will continue printing normally, and the toner level be at 10% for a long time.  When the black cartridge is in fact less than 10%, the pledge starts counting down again.  I'm sorry to see this problem coming up for visitors, but it does.  There is nothing wrong, except the black toner level reported.  I know this isn't a great answer, but it is the best I have.   I'm glad you like your printer - try to ignore the level of toner for awhile.

    Best regards

After several relocations I still see HP\HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276\Help_Learn\Help.exe and clicking on the icon I can see (by the Task Manager) running.

    Nothing visible on the screen?

    Hi marahu,

My apologies, I should have been more clear!

You can certainly still use your Firefox for everything, it's just that the LaserJet software relies on Internet Explorer, so we must still make sure it is up-to-date, but you don't have to use it if you do not want.

Now you can go to Internet Explorer 11, simply use the link in my last post

Once done, if the help file still doesn't load, you have to uninstall the printer and reinstall so it can recognize the updates you made.

I would like to know how it goes!

  • HP LaserJet CP1525nw color print quality problems

I got a HP LaserJet CP1525nw color about 2 months ago. After about 4 weeks, I noticed a print quality begins to degrade. Black started first by streaks and fading. Now when blue prints starts to show streaks and melted a magenta pink. All cartridges are at 50 percent of capacity or more. Any ideas about what to check?

    Hello Graf213,

There are a few things of different which could cause print quality begin to deteriorate on printouts. My guess is that the printer may need to be cleaned and / or calibrated.

  • Exported JPGs more saturated appear in LR

I have LR5.3. I barely noticed it. Not sure whether or not it has been the case for some time. When I export from LR and make as sRGB jpg images, they are more saturated. Also, when I discovered in the Web Panel images are more saturated. Is this normal?

    Yes, ssprengel sums up.

To put everything in very simple terms - and I repeat myself here: use only software successful color with this monitor. Software that's not color management will never display properly on a U2410. No question. Never. So find out who is and who is not, and which includes native applications for OS (Windows Picture Viewer is is not Windows Explorer).

If you send pictures far and don't know where or how they will be considered (including Internet), convert it to sRGB and embed the profile.

Always keep the calibrated and profiled monitor, as well as the color of managed applications having a monitor profile is valid for working with. This is the second absolute requirement that applies especially to the wide range of monitors.

There is no particular reason to use the Adobe RGB preset on the monitor. You can create a profile on the top of the presets, but it is preferable to use "custom", puts the device in its native state without restriction. But once the profiles, do not change the preset.

I have a wide range of Eizo, and if you obey these simple rules there is nothing to her. Everything works as expected.

  • HPLaserjet 100 color MFP M175a: hp laserjet 100 color mfp m175a suddenly very slow

I have a printer HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a, which has always worked well (except when in cooling mode). All of a sudden he started printing very slowly: for example, last night I sent a document of 20 pages to print at about 21:00 and was still waiting for it to end at midnight!

Nothing has been changed in the settings.

What can I do to fix this?

Thanks for letting me know NOG55.

Have you tried another USB cable? Just to rule out it.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

On the printer, select the Setup button, reports, report of Config.

    That print slow or fast?

If you encounter this problem with printing of the hardware self-test also, update the firmware of the printer.

Software & drivers. Select your operating system, click Next, click the link for the firmware.

If you're just the printing of the computer problem, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

    Thank you.
