LaserJet CP1518ni Page Service?

Color toner spots began appearing on the printed pages.  When I followed the instructions for the cleaning of the printer to an XP system and am arrived at the Color LaserJet CP1510 series HP ToolboxFX and clicked on the 'Device settings' folder there is NO "Service" in the menu dropdown page that appears when I click on.  The instructions indicate that there should be a page of 'Service '. Where is he?  How to clean my printer if the instructions are not valid?  Please let me know.

I see you've found patches of toner of color on the page. I'd love to help you.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

You can calibrate and run a cleaning directly from the control panel of the printer.

Calibrate the printer.
On the printer, select the arrow of the button/OK main menu system setup / print quality/color/calibrate calibration now.

Perform a cleanup.
On the printer, select OK/OK button/service/cleaning.

Print a self-test page.
On the printer, select the report/diagnostics OK button/main menu page.
Check alignment.

If you still experience the problem, try the steps outlined in this document. Solving print quality problems.

    Hi threre, I just work on HP CP1518ni a client with this same alignment problem as most of you are describing. I went through some process and I think I found one that works... If all goes well it will work for

    Things I tried before hand... also this machine has all the toners brand HP 90 + life on each of them.

    -Calibrate - has not fixed the problem (tried once)

    -reset the NVRAM - did not problem

    -removed and inspected print cartrides (no problem found), re-installed - fixed no problem

    The 'fix '...

    First, go to the HP website and download the firmware, make sure you only select the right operating system

    you are using. (for me it was Windows XP) Also the requirements of course read, I think you have to

    have with XP SP2 if it perhaps questions, always read the instructions before doing the firmware.

    Go to devices and printers and right click on printer properties then go to device settings and go almost all the way down to the type of device a color change and save the changes then go in the printer preferences and in the color tab, make sure that in its unaudited grayscale printing option

    I understand that you cannot print the PDF files from the upgrade to Maverick.

    I check and repair the authorization to drive on the Mac.
    Go on the hard drive of the Mac, applications, utilities, disk utility, click Mac hardrive left side, click on verify disk permissions, when it is finished click on repair disk permissions.
    (when it's over will show disk repair completed)

    Run the Apple updates also. (the Mac uses probably drivers 10.8)

    Make sure Acrobat is up-to-date.

    I have the color Laserjet CP1518ni printer when I had Win Vista-32 and it works beautifully. Recently, I upgraded my OS WIN7-64 and installed the drivers recommended from HP website. I installed the HP Universal PCL6 v5.6.0, but the printer is not recognized as color and prints only in black and white.

    When I restore the old driver 32-bit, I had on vista, it works in color but does not print on the web I get an error message on a competibility of 32 bits.

    After carefully reviewing the download section for the printer from the HP web site, I found that there is an update of the firmware on this printer and CP1510 version. So I updated the firmware and now it works fine, so far.

    I guess that was the problem.

  • LaserJet CP1518ni: Characters unwanted printing

    Somehow, my CP1518ni is glued various printing characters on one or two lines at the top of the blank pages and will continue to print until the book is exhausted or reconstituted.  It will even print these characters when the printer has been disconnected from my computer.

    I have reset the CP1518ni defaults, but that made no difference whatsoever.

    Howard, I want to assure you of one thing. When you turn the computer of just power and anything else connected to the printer or are you plugging the network or usb cable.  You might try the reset the NVRAM but don't forget that returns all settings to factory default and if you still have the same issue, which would then indicate a number of trainer.

    Perform initialization of the NVRAM on the printer HP Color LaserJet series CP1510
    1. turn off the product.
    2 press the button arrow to the right and press X. hold down these keys
    you turn the product on.
    3. where a Permanent init storage. appears on the screen, release both buttons.
    4. when the product has completed the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the ready state.

  • LaserJet Pro 400m401n: Service error 79 HP Laserjet Pro 400 m401n

    Service error 79 error code.

    Printer does not print Web sites or the other. Authorized the printing that and restarted, same thing.  Sometimes stopping and restarting with to produce a page.  I tried to reinstall the driver. NO GO.

    In addition, it seems that everyone in this forum to have this same problem Service error 79 are on a network.  This printer is NOT connected to a network.  It is only connected to a desktop computer at home via the USB port.  If I disconnect the USB and power Off / On, it does not show an error. The computer is running Windows 7 PRO.

    Any help would be appreciated until I throw this thing out the window.

    Suggest you do the following as it works very well without connection to the pc.  I would completely remove the printer from the computer and if you have the original disc supplied with the printer, use the scrubber on the disk utility to delete all files for the printer.  I then turn off the computer, turn it on and reload the printer according to the instructions from HP.  After the printer is busy, I would download the latest firmware version for your operating system and to update the firmware and see if the problem has been resolved.  Most of the time the 79 issue is caused by a bad print job which confuses the printer and makes the error.  A bad print job most of the time is caused by trying to print a web page that contains the latest code that your firmware version is not satisfactory if more aged.  Sometimes pdf files can cause a problem and generally using the postscript driver will solve this problem.  Good luck.

    Hi all - just this week (29/02/16) all Laserjet 4200 in our offices on computers running Windows 7 has started to print an extra white page after page in multi-page documents. This occurs in Word, Excel, our accounting software (Sage), etc.   If you print a document to a page, it's fine. Page separator is disabled.  Everything ran great until we had the automatic download of updates again this past weekend.  Can someone help us to solve this problem?  Thank you

    This problem should be taken to your network administrator or IT support staff.

    Separation of employment pages can be launched from more than one place.

    The first place to look is in the driver settings of printer, you see by right-clicking the printer icon in devices and printers, select "Printer properties", and then (in general) the "Advanced" tab (you should look into the "Device settings" tab as well).  I guess that's what you did when you say that 'Separator of Page' is disabled.

    Separators can also be activated within applications.  Because it goes through several applications, it is not likely to be the case.  In addition, it generally aren't the white pages, but contain information about the print job or the file being printed.

    No doubt your computers are on a network.  In this case, the extra page can be configured in the network print server.

    If I had to guess, I suppose that a new printer driver was pushed for individual computers, or, if the printers are shared using a print server, or a new printer driver has been installed on the server, or a configuration change was made.
