  • After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers

    Hello

After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

    Thank you

  • Last update of Windows 7

The last update of Windows 7 is installed automatically on my pc in the last days. After the reboot, the Internet Explorer connection is blocked. A system restore is necessary to return to the operation. There must be a mistake in the last update.

You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and it seems to be the cause of this problem for most, if not all, users.

See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

    - - - - - - - - - - - - -

If you do not have McAfee then Windows update than kb2705219 can also be a cause as the uninstall that appeared to solve the problem for some users [but I'm not particularly convinced by this]. To uninstall an update - control panel, programs & features, [left side of the window] see installed updates. Wait until the system has finished the research for the list of updates. Select update required, then right click and Uninstall.

  • Last updated on Windows 7 cause "Crash Dump" on my computer.

Last updated on Windows 7 cause "Crash Dump" on my computer. Watch journal update KB2264107 and KB2454826 will not settle. I do a system restore to get back. I tried the "auto update" three times.

KB2454826 was fired shortly after its initial release, January 11, 2011. Revised (for example, fixed) versions of KB2454826 have been re-published February 8, 2011.

NB: KB2454826 is an update Important/recommended, it's always an option, not the security update (from this edition). That being said, we now know that KB2454826 is a prerequisite for the update for IE9. As it will probably be a prerequisite update for SP1 of Win7, too, you probably don't want to hide.

KB2264107 is an option, not the security update. Feel free to hide it.

  • Last update of Windows XP and SVCHOST. EXE problems?

Hello. My PC runs XP SP3 (HP Media Center) 3G of ram. It worked very well lately without any problem whatsoever. This morning I started as usual. I noticed the familiar Microsoft Update 'yellow shield' in the lower right of the task bar. I flew over the mouse over it and it read "download updates 0%. He never got above zero (or I couldn't open Update window). I pulled up the Manager tasks and SVCHOST. EXE has been hogging 99% of my CPU. I have everything closed and stopped and restarted. After the reboot (thinking it was a problem of Windows Update), I went on the Microsoft Windows Update site and clicked on 'Express' updates to try to update manually. He began cycling (search?) updates and soon SVCHOST. EXE, roared back to life and pegged the CPU at 99% of use (effectively maxing out the CPU at 100%). Page Update MS has never reached the point where it stated that I needed updates... He kept just cycling and research. Once the SVCHOST. EXE is happening (I tried this update 3 - 4 times today) it does not stop (if I close the window of Windows Update or not). I need to stop and restart. When I stopped, I see a prompt "end program" for RUNDLL. EXE that (when I try to 'end') translates into a prompt "unresponsive". I have to leave the program to close. As a precaution I've scanned with MSE, Malwarebytes, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware and all were clean. No problem with MS Security Center is. I never saw my computer behaves like this before. At the time of this post, it seems fine except when I try to update on the Microsoft Site. Is there a bug or a problem with the last update?  Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you.

  • Last update of Windows 7 is hidden or corrupt all the drivers of USB devices on my system.

Automatic update of Tuesday last Windows 7 has killed the mouse USB and almost all USB storage devices that I use on the system. I tried several mouse and all report an error that it cannot find a driver now and that I should replace the unit. Microsoft mouse works fine on other computers - tried on three other machines, 2 running Windows 7 that did not update and a Vista running. All USB storage devices work on the other two machines. It seems that the last update has trashed the directory or the USB driver cache because the system can not find more.

Tried to run the software "fix it" Microsoft with no luck. Also tried several other suggestions Microsoft forum without success.  I am a student and having papers coming due next week so need to fix this quickly.

    Hello

    (1) what is the Microsoft FIXIT you have tried to solve this problem?

    (2) who is the last (KB) update installed on your computer?

    (3) have tried to run the system restore?

Method 1: Uninstalland reinstall the USB controller

Use Device Manager to disable and re-enable all the USB controllers. This allows controllers to recover the port USB of his condition does not respond. USB controllers represent the USB ports in Device Manager.

To disable and re-enable the USB controllers, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start, type device management in the start search box and press ENTER.

    (b) expand Bus USB controllers.

Note You need to scroll the list to find this point.

    (c) right-click the first USB controller under Bus USB controllersand then click Uninstall to remove it.

    (d) repeat step 4 for each USB controller is listed under Bus USB controllers.

    (e) restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.

    (f) check the USB device to see if it works.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Monitor flashes after the last update of Windows

I use a newer computer that already had Windows 7 pre-installed.  After the last update my monitor started flashing.  It didn't happen in Mode safe and I could not diagnose any systemic changes that can occur.  He also doesn't seem to be a problem with the refresh rate.

I ended up coming back to a restore point from before the update.  The problem occurred after the following updates have been installed: KB2719857, KB2735855, KB2736233 and KB2741355.  Someone knows that could have caused the problem, and if so do I really need?

All updates have been classified as '' Important '' that's why I didn't question them.

However, it seems that my monitor was kaput.  It happened to be a coincidence that he begins to not just after a Windows update.

I thank everyone good help.  I'll keep updating in mind suggestions, in case something strange happens in the future.

  • Mice are not appearing after the last update of Windows 8

After update to the last version of windows 8, my mouse does not work on my computer no more. I use a "HAMA Optical Mouse AM-5000" and a 64-bit Windows 8 operating system to my office. Before the update, everything worked very well, but a little at the time (perhaps a week?) there was a software update that began when I shut down my computer for the night and after, my mouse wouldn't just appear. Then I want to restore my computer to before the update and everything would work fine. It happened maybe 3 times in the past week. Today, however, every time that I restored it to an earlier date, the mouse still does not. I tried the following things:

Deactivation and reactivation of the mouse
Uninstall the drivers and search for updates
Try different mouse (2 USB, 1 green connector)
Using the troubleshooting in the Device Manager tool, a fine of the question
Non of them did it no matter what and I wonder if I'm the only one to receive the problem. and what I can do about it. Trying to navigate in windows using only the keyboard becomes very annoying XD.
Thanks for the reply of Kevin,

In the (Control Panel > system and security > Windows Update > View Update History) all there is "you have not tried to install the updates for this computer. There "18 updated important and 5 available optional updates to install, but I think that those who might be updates that have been the cause.

In the (Control Panel > programs > programs and features > Installed Updates) there are a bunch of installed updates. The most recent is "Word Viewer 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3): WDVIEWSP3" which has been installed on 26/09/13 and "update for Microsoft Windows (KB2889543)" which has been installed on 25/09/13.

I downloaded the latest drivers from the mouse on the site that you have linked and no change. By chipset are you referring to the processor (Intel i7)?

I am running windows vista and installed updates and now cannot get online.  I tried to run the system restore, but that did not help.  This happened once before when the only web sites that I could access were secure web sites, I have changed the security settings and that fixes the problem.  Nothing works for now.

What application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on this machine (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

If not help to tweak the parameters of your third-party firewall, try the following:

    1. disable your antivirus, all modules of Norton (as applicable), a real-time protection provided by an anti-spyware application (with the exception of Windows Defender; includes the Tea Timer of Spybot, AVG AS guard.exe, SpySweeper guards, etc.), disable the third-party firewall AND THEN select Windows Firewall.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) except #4 below until your antivirus application has been reactivated!  If you use a free ZA firewall, you may need to uninstall instead of disable.

2 uninstall 'update Cumulative security for Internet Explorer 7 (or 8) for Vista (KB976325)' or "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB976325)" via start | Control Panel | The Maintenance and the system (if you use Classic view, skip this step). 4 manually run Windows Update and install important updates available (i.e. KB976325).

5 reboot & make sure everything in #1 above is on again and, if necessary, disable the Windows Firewall and enable (or reinstalling) your third-party firewall.

  • Did not receive the last updates of Windows XP.

    Original title: update XP final

I have not received the final updates for XP today. I tried to install them manually but can't because support for XP is completed. Is there a way I can get them?

Yes, as of April 8, 2014, these are the latest updates for Windows XP, but since Microsoft has confirmed publicly that they will continue to develop and test the Windows XP security updates - since they are obliged under contract to the many millions of PCs under enterprise agreements including groups like the Government of Britain and the Netherlands.

So, finally Microsoft kind of will have to offer updates for Windows XP for at least another year.

They also distribute updates for Windows XP Embedded (plus all ATMs in the world), it is another way of development for those same updates :)

  • WiFi connection issue after the last update of Windows

After that the last Window XP updated, I faced a problem connecting wifi internet.

I (and others I know) get the question when trying to connect to the wifi. One of my friends has windows 7 and had the same problem. Personally, I have two laptops (Thinkpad T43 and T60), the T43 has only been affected. I did a lot of tests (tests of ipconfig, ping, etc.) and found what could be the problem.

I found that I was not able to conect to my router. I changed my wifi to no (no wep or wpa key) security configuration. At that time, I was able to connect to the internet. I changed my wireless security to WEP key with special characters again and wasn't able to reach my router connection. However, when I changed my WEP key of only alphanumeric characters that has worked. With the WPA key, I am not able to connect to my wifi.

My laptop is an old but a friend to me as a new brand.

I have the feeling that there could be a conflict with some brands of wireless cards. I have an Intel Pro 2200BG in the T43 a different in the T60. In my tests, I used the same configurations as my other laptop which doesn't have any problem. I used the same radio channel and values. I would like to get the thoughts of an expert to properly solve the problem

    Thank you

    Problem fixed

With 2 other people with the same problem (one called me an hour ago!) after the last window xp SP3 update and glancing again Ipconfig. I found that the tcp/ip seem to have been corrupted by the update. Then, I applied the following command at the command prompt: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt , and then restart the computer.

This time, the command ipconfig showed information that makes sense! And three laptops with windows XP pro SP3 were able to successfully connect to any Protocol (wpa, wpa2, wep).

I conclude this post by saying that, probably one of the last update of security for windows XP corrupted the TCP/IP Protocol and we had to reset correctly to solve the problem.
