Latitude 10 + Windows 8.1 fingerprint reader?

I tried Windows RTM 8.1 on my Latitude 10 about a month ago (when the RTM is released) and it had display problems and the fingerprint reader does not work (as Dell Data Protection cannot be installed on Windows 8.1).

It seems that display problems can be treated by installing an older driver. So I wonder is - anyone tried the fingerprint on the Windows 8.1 reader? It works with the biometrics integrated Windows 8.1 (use fingerprints to connect... etc)?

So I took the plunge and fresh Windows 8.1 installed on my Latitude 10. With the new BIOS and Intel drivers, all right. Except that print doesn't really work.

When you install the fingerprint software ("AES850_Fingerprint_Driver_Setup_A00_ZPE"), the installation failed and the Windows Biometric Framework is required. If I can for the Device Manager I can install the driver from the device on, however there is no "sign-in with fingerprints" option of Windows.

Edit: after joining the tablet to a domain, all of the fingerprints of the shot appears in the accounts-> login options. It works very well!

  • Windows 7 RTM fingerprint reader and webcam for TX2 driver status

I read somewhere on the site of HP windows 7 drivers for this TX2 - 1027CA won't be available until October 2009. Still I use it now, and the main system works well. There is a problem in the fingerprint reader and perhaps the webcam for me at this point. Until that HP provides drivers updated, I was wondering if there may be versions beta drivers for the TX2 I could try. I am ready to continue using windows 7, but I would try to install the drivers updated as soon as possible. Maybe it's two months away and one month after the availability of the operating system for MSDN subscribers (several companies and developers). • T420 Windows 8.1 fingerprint reader

Lenovo Fingerprint Reader software is not Windows 8.1, any help?

    Hi all

I found a solution for the integrated software for Windows 8.1 finger.
So, currently, it's for my T500 but it could work with T420.
According to Microsoft, the finger native connection manager works if the finger sensor driver is based on the 'Windows Biometric Framework'.
Then, I remember that on the AuthenTec support site, it was possible to download a compatible driver, but since the recovery by Apple, this support site has disappeared.
We have a chance that the internet has a backup for drivers

From the link below, you can find the driver for Windows 8.1-compatible finger.
If the link does not work, try searching for the name of the driver on your favorite researcher: "WBF3.4.4.1027."

  • W530, 10 Windows, fingerprint reader

    Hello

I did an upgrade of Windows 10 8.1 using Microsoft systray app.

But my fingerprint reader does not work in Windows.

It works during boot, because I have it set to require a fingerprint when turn on/off the machine.

In the Windows Device Manager, I have a biometric co-processor with a yellow exclamation mark with the following error:

  • For hp dv7 fingerprint reader works does not after update to 8.1 windows

    Hello

I upgraded Windows 8.1 Windows 8.  Before updating the finger print reader worked. I used it to connect to websites in any browser Firefox. I also logged into windows with my fingerprint reader and the screen unlocked the same way.

I have updated all the drivers according to the instructions on updatig before windows 8.1 and after update.  I checked that everything compatible with windows 8.1 again by the instructions before putting up-to-date.

After that update the drive light will not read the finger scan and the light does not illuminate. I went to the control panel to check the driver and he was later. I ran the windows driver verifier and on the HP site checked for validity sensor driver is up-to-date.  When I open simple passage it says congratulations you can connect in the window by the touch of the finger. When I go on Internet sites I have red cells connected with simle pass, he now seeks to connect with the password "master."

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    BattleAngelita,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

Does the SimplePass asks your for your master password Windows means that the program has survived the process of upgrading to Windows 8, 1 - somehow.

You can start with the following:

    • Close all your programs and shut down your computer

      • Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)
      • Perform the Hard Reset for your laptop
      • Start the computer and connect
    • Check is SimplePass himself has sorted them.

    ==========================================================================

You can try to update your SimplePass program to the latest version in the series of version 6.x.

Before you do this, read and follow the instructions to export your Webcards in your .tsd file.  Regardless of whether the Web site connections are working right now; you need this backup in case you lose your HP SimplePass program (thanks to the complete removal / reinstallation or if corruption).

Then, consider updating the HP SimplePass program to the latest version 6 series.  If you are already using the latest version, consider other options in the guide, including the "Repair SimplePass" procedure.

Open the file > click Download > click 'open in Adobe Reader.

Simple Instructions for upgrade HP SimplePass

Click on the thumbs-up Bravo !

It's a nice way of saying 'Thank you' for help.

  • Qosmio X 500 - 11 d: Fingerprint reader question and webcam problem

    Hello

I am the owner of a portable X 500 - 11 d of Qosmio computer and I ran into a few problems these last time:

    1. After installing windows 7, the fingerprint reader has worked flawlessly for about a month, but now the login screen of windows 7 not poster not the option to connect with the fingerprint and when I try to start the utility of fingerprint toshiba it gives an error could not connect to the sensor.

The strange thing is that I can't find the finger print sensos under Device Manager. Windows just does not detect it. I tried to reinstall the drivers and software, I've updated the bios but nothing works.

    2. the camera on the laptop, it is installed properly (the said driver is ok) but when you use the image is all black. I should mention that the blue light turns on when you use the camera.

I tried to find a solution to the fingerprint issue o the forum here, but nothing has been using, hope someone knows how to solve.

    > The strange thing is under the Device Manager I don't think the impression sensos finger; Windows just does not detect it. I tried to reinstall the drivers and software, I've updated the bios but nothing works.

    Well, I m sure this laptop model X 500 - 11 d supports the fingerprint sensor.
Please set the BIOS to default settings and check if there is a BIOS setting that can enable or disable the fingerprint sensor.

    > 2. The camera on the laptop, it is installed properly (the said driver is ok) but when you use the image is all black. I should mention that the blue light turns on when you use the camera.

I had the same problem. In my case, that the room was too dark and the cam didn't work well. I had covered the lens of the webcam and after that I withdrew my finger from the webcam, webcam worked again. Notes; the room was very bright and the probe could catch the environment. I don't know if this could help Mr. maybe, you need to uninstall the webcam software before you try this procedure

  • Fingerprint reader is not detected

    Hello

I currently have a thinkpad T400 2767 and until a few weeks ago, it was working fine, but then I got an error device not recognized in windows and the fingerprint reader stopped working. I rebooted and it was gone. Not in Device Manager, or even in the BIOS options. I googled and can't find someone with the same problem.

I was wondering if anyone has recommendations, and if the purchase a new drive would solve the problem, because I know they're tempremental.

    Thank you

This seems to have solved the problem.

  • Fingerprint reader does not work under Win 7

I have a T500 which I just upgraded from Windows Vista business to Windows 7 Professional.

Everything except the fingerprint reader and Wireless Broadband seems to work.

The fingerprint reader is Authentec AES2810, with driver version 2.0.0.18 dated 24/11/2009.

If I run the footprint of Lenovo software version 3.3.0.58 I get the error that the software cannot

    communicate with the probe.

Wireless Broadband card is the Ericsson F3507g. The following drivers are installed:

    Network cards:

-F3507g Mobile Broadband Driver, version: 1.0.0.52 dated dated 29/07/2009

    Ports (COM & LPT):

-Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband minicards GPS Port (COM6), version: 1.0.0.28 dated dated 29/09/2008

-F3507g Ericsson Mobile Broadband Device Management (COM4), version: 4.54.7103.1 dated dated 26/06/2009

    Chip card readers:

-F3507g Mobile Broadband USIM Port, version 6.0.0.7 as of 12/05/2009

Even if there is information about the drivers listed above says the USIM card device:

"No drivers are installed for this device".

    Universal Serial Bus controllers:

-F3507g Mobile broadband device, version: dated 4.54.7103.1 dated 26/06/2009

If I use the ThinkVantage Access Connections software, I get the following error message:

"The current wireless WAN connection is managed by another client utility.

Close the client utility, and then try again. "But to my knowledge no other wireless broadband client is running.

If I try Mobile Broadband Connect through Vodaphone UK interface, I get the following error message:

"No found Wireless Broadband Mobile device."

And finally, if I try ThinkVantage GPS I get the following message:

"The GPS NMEA CPM port is not available. You should check the following things.

-Another GPS application using the COM port.

-COM port is disabled. You can activate the COM port in Device Manager.

Windows Vista, the fingerprint reader both the wireless broadband device worked without

all of the problems. Anyone have any ideas on how I can solve these two problems.

    Best regards

  • Fingerprint reader not recognized on laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400

In this last week, my fingerprint reader is no longer running on my laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400. I think that he stopped when last week he had two usb problems which are still pending - that is to say, under Device Manager, there are two USB keys with a yellow warning triangle and after trying to help out, he said: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ».

I reinstalled the Validity Sensor software several times, but it does make a difference.

BTW, to the best of my knowledge, there had not been any new software updates before the USB errors.

This problem is solved when I turned off my laptop, unplugged the adapter and all external connections, removed the battery, expected a minute, resinserted the battery and restarted my PC.

Validity Sensor driver has been added automatically by Windows, and my fingerprint reader is now recognized and working.

  • Pavilion dv7 6051ea: how to get the fingerprint reader works on Windows 10

Just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro for Windows 10 Pro. The fingerprintreader has stopped working. I find the possibility to set up, but the installation is grayed out as long as no driver available. Can't find one on any forum support? Anyone else having this problem and sorted it please?

On August 11. I've been running Windows 10 updates on a daily basis since the upgrade and now after a reboot of the fingerprint reader has started working? and remembered my impression as well. I guess that Microsoft dropped in a fix for this (which works for me) then maybe something to try?
