Latitude E6400 Inverter card

I recently ordered a replacement screen for a Latitude E6400, when I disassembled the laptop to swap the new screen, the connector that goes to the display inverter plug is different.

I have to tell the seller what card inverter specification I need, but I have problems finding the specs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is to ask the supplier of the screen - inverters are specific to the screen.

  • The latitude E6400 LCD is dim/dark

I have a Latitude E6400 with Vista. When I boot, I see the bios and the running of State Bar. as soon as it starts at the window, the screen goes black/sun. I can still see, but it is very very light. It doesn't matter if it is on battery or AC is fine when I plug in an external display. I tried key fn and arrow making, but which was useless. could the backlit feature on the LCD is dead? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am facing exactly the same problem with my computer laptop studio 1555. My research on line up to tell me that this is very probably the inverter which is bad.

The fact that it has very low picture indicates that the screen is probably ok.

A possible culprit is the hinge switch that turn off the screen when folded down. If this does not work when you lower and open on the external screen, my guess is that the switch is probably ok.

The third possibility is the backlight ccfl lamp. What I generally find people reporting is that the screen begins to turn red before the ccfl lamp turns off. If we do not face that then the lamp should probably be ok.

I'll order a new card of the inverter and replace it and pray with my fingers crossed.

Normally this driver do not something other than what you have seen.

However, if you are not signed in, then obviously it has failed.

Now that I know you have the wireless card, then try the driver from the Dell support site for your model.

  • Dell Latitude E6400 LCD / LED video screen has partial display of vertical lines

    Hello

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 on which display LED screen / video shows the stable vertical lines in the right half of the screen (partial view on the left side is good, see photo). I have already tested the external VGA port - it is displayed correctly on an external LCD display. The vertical lines are constant and the same brightness, regardless of the position of the lid of the laptop. This could be a problem with the inverter or the water of the LED screen? Or something else? Thanks in advance for any comments.

    P. S. Please note that glow Golden on the top left of the screen is just a reflection of ambient light.

It is not the inverter (assuming that the display has a);  who simply controls the backlight.  It may or may not be the cable - it's not likely.  It resembles a billboard damaged.

  • Latitude E6400 taken helmet does not

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 with Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit Edition. I installed the chipset drivers, then the rest drivers until there is no bangs in Device Manager. When I plug in external speakers to the headphone jack, however, there is no sound. Test the speakers on another system, and they work.

I worked on it for a few weeks and I'm out of ideas.

Hello @azarita and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand that you are having problems printing from your system.  I would like to help!

I would recommend you to do a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I suggest also download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Latitude E6400 built-in Microphone does not

Hello. My machine is a Latitude E6400 running Windows 7 34 bit.

I bought used recently and found that the microphone (which, according to specifications must be built in) does not work.

I tried to check it is not cut, as well as turn the off/on it again. It is said it is active, but (in the recording devices), there is no upward movement/green line to show that is to record my voice. Setting up the microphone via the Control Panel does not work either.

I tried to install the Audio drivers from Dell, but it comes up with the following message is displayed:

"The hardware found is not supported by this package IDT.

The installation will be interrupted. »

I tried everything I can think of. Someone at - it other ideas on how to fix my microphone?

microphone (which should be built according to specifications)

I might have missed, but the single microphone that I see in the documentation of this model is in the assembly of the webcam at the top of the frame of the screen. The webcam has been a purchase option on this model. The webcam itself work? Because if it's not then either it is not or does not, and in both cases, the microphone does not work. If you have a program named Dell Webcam Central in your list of programs, then use it to control the webcam.

Even if the webcam works the microphone could become defective. You can get a replacement webcam people-parts.

You can also check in the BIOS. I don't know about your model, but some laptops have a mic option in the BIOS.

I tried to install the Audio drivers from Dell, but it comes up with the following message is displayed:

"The hardware found is not supported by this package IDT.

Go to this page and you can see all the drivers for Dell just introduced for the E6400.

    http://downloads.Dell.com/published/pages/latitude-E6400.html

Try all the audio drivers Windows 7 IDT. If none work there is another problem with the laptop and I would suggest running a System Recovery if the seller has provided the recovery media, or if the recovery image is still on the hard drive. If you are able to perform a system restore and the microphone still does not work, then it is either missing or failed.
