Latitude E6410 - Add Bluetooth

I have a user who wants to add bluetooth to his E6410. I can't find the accessories on the Dell site that will add this feature.

I see that the E6400 model supports the module card/370 BT (on the Dell site) and there is only a slot marked WPAN (near the fan/radiator), but the design of the E6410 is different. It integrates the function of Virginia, and who takes the place of the WPAN slot. According to me, there's a slot open at the bottom of the unit, with WWAN and something else noted.

Does anyone know if the E6410 will take all internal add on cards? Finally, I realized the 375 chip is the chip of the factory, and need disassembly hard core install.

I was looking for something a little less drastic.

I recently bought a second hand E6410 so I'm answering previous messages of unanwsered for the sake of someone else who did research on Bluetooth and Latitude ON Flash.

The Bluetooth card connector is located on the front of the laptop and no back. It is located directly under where it says LATITUDE | E6410 LHS of Panel palmrest, in the section above the keyboard next to the monitor. Access to he will take out battery, the radiator/fan, cache, the keyboard and about 8 screws that keep the LHS of the palmrest in place Panel. You do not need to remove all of the palmrest panel, you need just enough movement of it to access the Bluetooth card connector.

Latitude e6410 Service Manual states that you must remove about 20 items. Apart from the battery and those mentioned above, nothing else should be removed. You may need to degonder the monitor to move the traffic so that you can successfully open at the corner of the palm rest.

Once you are there, just connect the connection cable (which is built into the Bluetooth card) on the connector, then place the Board and screw it in place (1 x screw).

If anyone has need for more information about the installation/removal of the Bluetooth card or the Latitude ON Flash module, please me message.

Where buy these items is concerned as much as I can only suggest to try eBay or antiquing on line. :)

The most common use of bluetooth technology is to synchronize the data with a phone that you can do with usb or to attach a bluetooth mouse or keyboard or a headphone as if you wanted to make the stone of rosette or something like that. It is not used to network with other computers, usually. If you have never actually used bluetooth I don't see why you need to have. If you feel that you are missing something in the way very easy to add bluetooth is with a cheap usb bluetooth dongle.

The other method would involve the removal and replacement of the wireless card to install one that makes the wi - fi or bluetooth connection. It would cost maybe $ 40-50 for the card but is not an easy task on your laptop model. It is no easy access door and would require fairly complete disassembly and would jeopardize security.

Bluetooth is a feature of premium generally not provided at the lower end of the points of laptop computer prices, such as the models of Wal-Mart.

Y at - it a combo Mini PCIe wifi/BT card that will add Bluetooth to AMD 682220-001 motherboard

    Hello:

According to the service manual for your laptop, Chapter 3, page 28, there are a few cards, wlan/bluetooth of different model that are supposed to work with your model.

None of the Intel adapters will not work because your laptop has an AMD processor and chipset.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03591253

IMO, your best option would be to get the Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n WiFi and 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 1 × 1

Combo adapter HP Part # 657325-001.

You might be able to get this cheap card on eBay by questioning by the part number.

At the time that your model has been produced, HP began to remove the blocking of the BIOS.

A white list of BIOS contains the hardware ID's of the supported wireless cards HP can be used in specific model books.  If a wireless network card ID was not in the whitelist, the PC does not start until the wlan unsupported card is removed.

No one knows for sure exactly when it was made or on which models, so I recommend you buy a card with the HP part number thereon, or it may not work.

If you want to roll the dice and assume that the white list does not exist for your model, you can go to the broadcom dual band with bluetooth adapter.

    PS Sorry for my English

Hello, I have the same problem, I used the Dell Mobile Broadband utility and run the self diagnostic, and the result was down: HardwareTest. I guess that the unit is not installed or not connected to the motherboard. How can I activate this device? There must be a setting in the BIOS, or something is not pluged in correctly for this laptop. also, mine is a Latitude E6410 with Win7.

I saw no response for this post.

Please, the USB Modem is very annoying.

  • Latitude E6410 internal display will not work unless the driver is disabled, regardless of the OS

    Hi all

I had done research on google without end, dell community support research, etc. and cannot find the solution. The internal computer screen does not work on my Latitude E6410, except if the display driver is disabled. I tried all the drivers on the Dell Web site (including previous versions). The laptop has the card Nvidia nvs 3100 m. I've updated to the latest version of the driver available from Nvidia, and it still doesn't work. However, I can use an external monitor using a VGA connection.

    Tried with Windows 7 x 86 and x 64. X 86 and x 64 Windows 8. Windows XP x 86 same results.

The strange thing is that if I leave the compatible driver, I can see the screen flash Dell OEM and the beginning of the GUI of Windows boot, but once the driver is started, the screen goes black.

Ran the Dell diag and video passages. I think the problem is driver/software related like the screen works, but once the driver is loading with Windows, the screen stops video production.

BIOS is updated. All the other drivers installed.

    Any suggestions?

Laptop is still under warranty, so if I have to I can get a mobo replaced, but want to exclude all other possibilities first.

Thanks for all comments and suggestions.

OK, so I finally found the fix (literally, this morning).

After browsing the internet, I found another site where this driver was the recommended fix and it worked:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails?driverId=R287174

Now, my e6410 is not the nvidia driver and intel, only nvidia card.

If your e6410 Intel and Nvidia, you may need to play with the pilots to see what will work the Nvidia driver (I'm guessing the driver Dell A08 works well).

As a couple of my co-workers have the same e6410 and did not have this problem, it seems that the material appears to be the culprit, but only in the sense that a particular version of the Nvidia NVS 3100 m driver works with the Dell driver A08 and some will work with the driver Nvidia 302,80 (9.18.13.280) (which is installed by Windows as well). My Dell was purchases / delivered late 2010. My co-workers that Dell was purchase / shipped in early 2011. I don't know if the short time makes all the difference in what provided Dell (or correctly, what Nvidia to Dell Dell installed), but there is a difference.

I also tried to upgrade the driver A08 (which is the version of the driver 8.17.12.5922 dated dated: 31/07/2010) to the 9.18.13.280 (as of: 11/06/2012) and it did not work. I had to go back to the 8.17.12.5922 to get the video to work again.

    My Nvidia NVS 3100 m firmware/bios version is: 70.18.53.00.04.

I hope this helps anyone with this issue, but for now, it seems that the A08 driver is necessary for users of this issue.

Good luck to all with this question, but I will now consider this matter resolved.

  • Activate product key Dell latitude E6410

OK, I have a Dell Latitude e6410 when I got it, it came with the hard drive has failed I replace the hard drive and a friend of mine who fixed it for put me Windows 7 Professional on there but any way or another I messed up windows if bad, it would not start again Windows, Enterprise Edition and I couldn't not started so I bought a key USB from Amazon It is by a company called fixed-to-fixed and it has Windows 7 Professional on this topic so I loaded that and put it in the product key provided with the Dell printer. Then I have to pay for the turn, or what I have to go back and get Windows enterprise?

I tried to activate it by calling the toll-free number, but the supplied keyboard was not a zero on this issue. Only 1-9.

Dell is a VAR (Value Added Reseller), was this laptop originally intended to be sold to a company? His possible destination was a large company that bought computers and Dell configure them previously with Windows Enterprise volume license customer.

In order to have business installed however, the machine must be licensed with Windows Professional, since the company is an upgrade under the terms of a volume license.

If the sticker of COA said Windows Professional OA, then you have the right to ask the recovery media and reinstall the edition appropriate for the machine.

    Hello

Newbie here, just got my S10-3 last week and love it.  I've upgraded to Windows 7 Pro and you want to increase the memory and Add Bluetooth internal if possible.  What kind of memory card do I need to go 2 m?  Smallest number of cost and the make and model would be great information if you can provide it.  Don't you think that it is possible to add internal Bluetooth?  I know that I can add using external USB, but would really like to keep in-house and keep all three USB ports free for other devices.

    Thank you very much!!!
