Hello
I bought a Dell Latitude E6530 'renovated', that was the end of the lease. (It was not defective). I started up and installed Dell help. I have had no trouble to do a few minor update of drivers. However, when I try to update Windows it just runs and.
I checked the Windows Update with the troubleshooting Diagnostic Utility. I made sure that there is no infection or rootkits on your computer. I followed several suggestions I found the title of Microsoft Support positions and renamed the folder of Distribution system, as well as a few things of the reset. I have register/authenticate online with Microsoft Windows software.
When I run the troubleshooter, it says registration for the Service is missing or damaged, and he said it suits him, but he can't solve "problems installation of recent updates. However, when I run it again, it is said that he correct once again.
Any suggestions?

Windows update notification (redirect) remains on
I have a dell inspiron 570 and I that a notification is turned on, saying that I have disabled the windows update, when I check windows update, it is on and up to date, it is said in my dell - to configure windows update and sent me to a screen that says install updates automatically, I do, and it's still there in my corner to the right of "my dell. Please help, ronson 19
Hi ronson 19,.
Please repost this in the most expert helpdesk forum.
-
It was stuck on this during about 3 hours and I desperately need to use... It is essentially new from today, as I had mail. I really don't understand why this is happening and I can't find a way to fix.
From what Ive seen in similar forums, that I'll post things that do not work in my situation.
- I don't have any sort of keyboard or mouse for this tablet.
- I tried to restart the flight button and button / stop
- I took the battery.
- I do not have a more 8 GB USB so I can't use a recovery.
Honestly, I'm so frustrated because I both want and need to use it for school... I don't have the time and money to run around to try to find a larger USB... at least not for a few days or a week. If no indication as to what is wrong and all the other options would be very appreciated.
Hi Alex,
I understand the inconvenience caused to you due to this problem. Installation of Windows Update takes this long period. It seems to be a problem with the Windows Update components. You could also face this problem at any time update does not install correctly and it is not to let any other updates to settle.
As you mentioned that this is a new feature by Dell I suggest you contact the manufacturer or point of purchase. You can contact the Dell forums on the information provided below.

Hi all
I had done research on google without end, dell community support research, etc. and cannot find the solution. The internal computer screen does not work on my Latitude E6410, except if the display driver is disabled. I tried all the drivers on the Dell Web site (including previous versions). The laptop has the card Nvidia nvs 3100 m. I've updated to the latest version of the driver available from Nvidia, and it still doesn't work. However, I can use an external monitor using a VGA connection.
Tried with Windows 7 x 86 and x 64. X 86 and x 64 Windows 8. Windows XP x 86 same results.
The strange thing is that if I leave the compatible driver, I can see the screen flash Dell OEM and the beginning of the GUI of Windows boot, but once the driver is started, the screen goes black.
Ran the Dell diag and video passages. I think the problem is driver/software related like the screen works, but once the driver is loading with Windows, the screen stops video production.
BIOS is updated. All the other drivers installed.
Any suggestions?
Laptop is still under warranty, so if I have to I can get a mobo replaced, but want to exclude all other possibilities first.
Thanks for all comments and suggestions.
OK, so I finally found the fix (literally, this morning).
After browsing the internet, I found another site where this driver was the recommended fix and it worked:
http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails?driverId=R287174
Now, my e6410 is not the nvidia driver and intel, only nvidia card.
If your e6410 Intel and Nvidia, you may need to play with the pilots to see what will work the Nvidia driver (I'm guessing the driver Dell A08 works well).
As a couple of my co-workers have the same e6410 and did not have this problem, it seems that the material appears to be the culprit, but only in the sense that a particular version of the Nvidia NVS 3100 m driver works with the Dell driver A08 and some will work with the driver Nvidia 302,80 (9.18.13.280) (which is installed by Windows as well). My Dell was purchases / delivered late 2010. My co-workers that Dell was purchase / shipped in early 2011. I don't know if the short time makes all the difference in what provided Dell (or correctly, what Nvidia to Dell Dell installed), but there is a difference.
I also tried to upgrade the driver A08 (which is the version of the driver 8.17.12.5922 dated dated: 31/07/2010) to the 9.18.13.280 (as of: 11/06/2012) and it did not work. I had to go back to the 8.17.12.5922 to get the video to work again.
My Nvidia NVS 3100 m firmware/bios version is: 70.18.53.00.04.
I hope this helps anyone with this issue, but for now, it seems that the A08 driver is necessary for users of this issue.
Good luck to all with this question, but I will now consider this matter resolved.

Smart card reader driver is sought on Windows update after inserting the smart card
We are in the process of deploying PKI project in our environment. Client computers have Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1. We use McAfee Endpoint Encryption 5.2.12 on all clients. Our environment has a mix of Dell (Latitude E6400, E4300, E4310, E6410, E6420) and HP (EliteBook 8460p, EliteBook 2560p) laptops. There's no problem with Dell laptops at all.
With HP machines, however there are two problems.1. with the model 8460p, after installing the Alcor card reader driver, when I insert the smart card into the reader he begins to search for the drivers on windows update. In three minutes, it updates the drivers and works very well. My concern is when I install the card reader drivers explicitly why go to Windows update. HP 2560p also has the same card reader, but this problem is not on this model. I disabled the driver smart card research in strategy group as well. This behaviour is sparkle roll.2. when I enable smart card authentication on the McAfee console for any HP laptop and try to use my smart card on McAfee Endpoint encryption pre boot screen, machine freezes. Same configuration of McAfee encryption works fine on Dell laptops.Help, please.Hello

Windows Update, error 0xc01a001d
My Latitude | D630 has notified me that I had an update. He told me it would take about an hour and I would not be able to use my computer for this period. I agree, and then he showed "installation of 1 of 3, 3%" etc. He became a black screen and white text, seemed to be running through 101911 files. When he got about a third of the way through, he said. 0xc01a001d! 37406/101911 (\Registry\Machine\COMPONENTS\DerivedDat...) and the police will Flash slightly. I rebooted and went through the same process several times, always to come to this conclusion. Nothing allows me to turn on my computer without bypass this update. What can I do?

OS: Windows XP Media Center: SP3, P4 3.20 Ghz, 1 GB of memory IE V8 processor
I currently have problems to connect to Windows Update. I can't connect to the site at all and is the "this page cannot be displayed" whenever I try to open it. I diagnose the network connection and he came back with no problems found. I can download & install Microsoft Security Essentials, but I get error 0x80072EFE when I try to update. Note: MSE seems to update on its own, but not via the update button. I reset IE8 by default as well as the windows firewall and the IP (Winsockfix.exe) stack
I also ran several different viruses, malware and Trojan scanners and all are own return. (AVG, Norton Security scan, MSE. I tried to run the scan to Microsoft Live, but the page froze when I tried to download it. It seems that any Microsoft Security site is blocked for some reason any. A Hijack log is available if needed?
I had some browser redirect issues (I suspect the Virus), but it was very random and seems to have settled down. The main problem now is to get the update in the system and the MSE.
Thank you
TMcC
Problem solved!
Trojan:DOS / main Alureon.A in the MBR on the hard drive. Start into the recovery console and run FixMBR. It has detected the MBR was not correct and re-written the record. Windows Update now working as the MSE to date.

Thank you guys for the entries.

Windows update fails to load: Win Xp
Windows XP, SP3 on a Latitude D410
After repair and update Windows Installer 4.5, Windows Updater would not be responsible. REF. KB 943144: not exactly the same question, but made 2 method with no luck. Click Update MS, starts IE8, after 3 or 4 minutes get a "Try MS update today" page, click Start now, get review license page, click on continue. After awhile looong, get the following dialog box: «the files required to use microsoft update are registered or installed...» ' Select 'register or install for me now. ' Click on continue. Go to next page: "Download and install latest software update." The download begins. After another long period of time "Try MS update today" page reappears and can repeat the same process with no luck.

Some ideas at the moment, but can you advise at least that there are specific forums for Windows XP.

BTW, it's too late for a restoration of the system when everything worked correctly?

Help, INternet explorer does not work after windows update
One day, the computer automatically downloads and installs the programs that are recommended by microsoft windows.
After installation, my INternet explorer does not work.It reads:
Windows could not access 'ie.redirect.hp.com '.
Windows received an HTTP error message: 403 (refused).
-> If this problem is consistenly prevent windows to connect to several sites on the Internet, contact your network administrator or your ISP.Then I click ok, and then try to go on 'www.google.com '.
It still does not work, so I click on diagnose connection problems
This time, it reads:Windows not found no problem with the network connection on this computer.
You want to report the problem to Microsoft? Additional details about what went wrong can help create a solution. The report will be sent the next time you go online.
Send informationBut when I send, I can not because I have Canon go online on my Internet Explore.
When he first stopped working, I could use the system restore, but after a few months I dropped and now I can't restore the system to a place that it worked fine.I also know that this problem is not the administrator of network or something like that because I downloaded Firefox when IE stopped working, and Firefox works fine.
I tried everything, but I can not do it by myself, so help please!
