  Well good for Photoshop to fix this, I chatted with technical support and they have a new version of 13.1 to. I've updated, then went in the preferences and found the preference of the user interface, select 200%. Who did the trick.

  From a configuration file, I'm giving the user the ability to add and remove Menu items which would appear on a native BlackBerry Application Java, for example calendar, Contacts etc. It's all the dory hunky, adding menu items to the repository and the native application, but without a reference to the original object (which I think is garbage collected and stored somewhere in the depths of the BB database), I can't remove the added custom Menu item previously. (tried static member variable, and overwrite the previous text to menu items, just appears as a value that is duplicated in the menu)

  If you want to remove an ApplicationMenuItem, you must keep a reference to the real menu item that you have added and use this reference to remove.  I find the best place for this is RuntimeStore.

  BTW do not know if you do this available to old BlackBerry OS, but even if you do this, the removal does not work under OS 4.0, but the fact in the latest OS.  Sorry not tested prior to OS 4.0.

  Sometimes the Desktop software cannot automatically find the necessary operating system... software and need 'help' along. The sub process should allow you to do.

  The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  Now, if you have installed on your PC the exact same OS version you are running on your device, you should have all the available elements is displayed in the desktop software. However, if you have installed a different version of the operating system that is running on your device on your computer, the result will be probably an offer to change your device installed OS that you have installed on your PC... If this is the case, proceed with caution and be sure to first have a backup complete.

  If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

I downloaded a trial version of a 3 rd-party for geocaching (CacheBerry) application, using Desktop Manager for the process of application for Macs. The application does not appear in the main menu of the application file, but if I go into options > applications, it appears in the list. However, I can't understand how the open - all I see are delete or modify permissions and properties of the app. Any help for a newbie here?

  AHA! Found in downloads and was able to open from there. I don't know why some applications go to downloads and others go to the applications folder, but I was able to move to a more intuitive folder, too.
