Leaking ink

My HP 309 has leaking black ink.  It comes out of the bottom of the unit near the corner before right.  It seems to be of the smaller black cartridge but I am not sure of the source.  How should I do?

If you delete this ink cartridge always leak to the printer? This will tell us if there is excess ink still inside of the case that needs to be cleaned.

If there is ink coming out of the printer I would recommend have fix the printer. You can contact HP for that and the coordinates are in this link:

Where is the ink 'leakage '?  If it's in the station area (on the right side of the printer) printing service, this is normal - that's where the ink is "spit" to keep the nozzles clear.  Even if they seem to have black ink, it's actually a mixture of black ink and photo.  It is not necessary (or desirable) to clean this area.  If the ink is leaking on the desktop which would be another question - that would be wrong and would indicate a failure.

  • 7310xi all-in-One: ink cartridge leak on bottom of 7310xi printer all in one

Printing on paper is wavy line down the entire page. A self-test shows lines in black and tricolor bars. I cleaned the contacts on the cartridges as directed. Carts and springs for the cartridges look ok. What does not seem normal is the accumulation of ink on the bottom of the printer directly under the ink cartridges. Of course, I had a cartridge leaking at some point. The pile of ink stand high enough and is probably interfere with something. Sometimes after that it prints a page, I hear a noise like metal on metal grinding. Then the message transport jam error will appear. When I remove the rear door of the printer there nothing wrong apparently. It's ok for me to use metal tongs to remove the pile of ink while the printer is on (since it is the only way you can reach the battery), or is it a good way to electrocute me?

  • Photosmart 3310 printing issue - apparently ink leaks and failures of alignment

Hi, sorry to bother but I am facing a problem with an All - In - One Photosmart 3310.

    -I am running windows XP.

-L' printer is connected to several for my private with band wifi LAN.

N ' got no code error on the question

-All used within the printer cartridges are genuine HP and photo paper was also 10 x 15 HP (the one provided with the packs of cartridges).

-L' printer is a little over 4 years now and he has his crazy suddenly two days ago. The printer has not been moved or damaged, it simply sound suddenly started printing blue black & white text characters and ended with the ink.

As I have already experienced similar problems with some other printers, I well as cleaning cartridges and lining up, but it has not changed anything. I finally changed all 6 white ink by new ones, but all the same. I cleaned again, tried to align, but once again, no possible way to achieve alignment. "Alignment failed" came out at this stage.

Here are some pictures to illustrate because I tried several impressions to make sure it wasn't a short-term problem be resolved with cleaning or alignments: photo printer problem

It should be noted that no two prints come out the same way, some are mainly blu, other yellow or green...

At this point, I didn't Kow where to start with this problem. There seems to be a leak in the print head (assuming that the magenta) and another leak with the blue wire (it can not see on the pictures, located at the bottom of the left hand side, but could not get any pic suited because of the plastic on the printer cover.

So, I'm wondering the following things:

-What a sound suddenly went to the printer?

    -It worth repair?

    -How to proceed?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for reliable advice.

Alignment is probably a failure because of the incorrect colors being printed on the page. The printer scans each line or section of the alignment page using a special sensor inside the printer and check all colors from ink and their bosses and investment. If one of them is not what the printer is expected to be, the alignment will fail. I don't know what film you're referring. But I don't think it matters, as the cause of the failure of the alignment is quite obvious.

I don't think it's possible for you to do something to solve this problem. Take it to a service center would be a better option, cos they have the tools and the expertise and training to do such things.

The upgrade process differs from one country to another. I'm not sure of European countries, but in the United States, you can call the support technology and upgrade to a new printer with similar features as yours. HP has TS lines for printers, which is very different from Smart Friend. You must pay any fees to call them and talk to them. If you are in the United States, call 1-800-474-6836 and choose Photosmart all-in-One printer as your product to be transferred to the printer Dept

My Designjet 1050c is leaking yellow ink coming out of tube under the prinheads jets. I took the whole hose out of the printer (per instruction manual). My question is, these nozzles can be replaced at the end of the tubes verses buying a whole new tube Assembly? $300 + est a lot of money for a full game when you need only 1 nozzle or 4 new ones.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I'll be in good shape now... I figured out how to get the fixing of nozzle apart without destroying it,

  • my HP officejet pro 8000 is leaking black ink

OfficeJet pro 8000 is leaking black ink on the right side - in the back.  I have windows 7, no error message.  the print heads is the problem?

I'll need a little more information to help. He flees outside of the printer ink? Or the ink is pooling in the back inside the printer? Have you recently changed the cartridge? Is this a real HP black cartridge not recharged? Have you looked at the tubes/cables that provide the ink in the print head? Are they bent or curved or not?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 leaking blue ink.

I'm trying to disassemble the printer to gain access to the rear of the cartridge that assembles. I'm unable to remove the side panel of the case. Advice or suggestions appreciated! If I find the leak at the back of the Assembly, is - this repairable?

    Hello Keith,

I just finsihed a repair of my Officejet Pro 8500

At first, I did not see also all the tubes have been pinched as suggested by Ciara, however, the black and magenta tubes were damaged near/behind the sled print head. I think that they have abandoned their guides and am stuck on several occasions by the sled.

To fix it, I used pieces of wire insulation I pasted above the damaged area. I have documented the repair with images and some instructions, but unfortunately, I can not attach the file here. If you do not empty your printer, you can have a go... don't take too long. Send me an email and I will send you the PDF document.

Here is a picture of the repaired area:

  • First Photosmart C410: Ink series Photosmart Prem C410 leak

My printer is 5 years old, but so far it has been perfect - never had a problem with it!

Recently, I noticed there is ink in the printer and it seemed to come from the bottom. Further investigation revealed a bunch of ink which sank on the side right under where stop ink cartridges.

I don't know what is the cause, but it's a big mess in there and I don't know if it's interesting trying to clean up. (My fingers are already black cleaning of Office/below!)

I bought another printer but want to keep it too if I can. However, if it's too hard or too expensive so I am probably not worthwhile, especially given the age of the printer.

    Here is a picture:

The area that show you is the 'service station' where little ink is "spit" to keep clear nozzles, usually before, during and after printing.  It is unusual for this area of filling and too full, there are a few things that may cause excess ink in the gas station:

    • With the help of an external power switch.  If the power is off (with a switch output or other external) then more ink is used at startup.  The printer must always be connected to a Plug and switch the printer only used to turn off the printer.
    • Running "cleaning cycles.  Manual cleaning cycles of the Toolbox Panel or printer are rarely necessary.  They use ink and should be avoided except when necessary (almost never).

You may be able to clean the area of station service as follows: remove the print head and set it aside.  Turn the printer off an area that won't have ink.  Use a plastic spoon to remove most of the ink in the service area, making sure not to disturb the wipers. Rinse the service area, warm soapy water would be good for this, maybe a low pressure hose.  Make sure not to get ink on thin coding tape (clear ~1/4"wide band that runs from the width of the printer).  Also avoid ink or too much water in the electronics.  After cleaning, dry the printer by dabbing gently with absorbent paper.  Let dry completely before plugging the printer back in and reinstall the printer print head.

  • PhotoSmart 7525: PhotoSmart 7525 ink black, leaking and do not print.

I had the PhotoSmart 7525 for 1.5 years, no problem, I was aware until today.  I have installed all new cartridges - 5 of all colors.  Black did not simply print.  I cleaned up and align the cartridges.  I put a second new black cartridge.  (Finally), I looked into the place of rest and discovered all the area covered with black ink fresh.  I have not seen any evidence of any other color.  There is no ink elsewhere inside the printer.  I think that I can get cleaned, but ideas is what is the problem and how to fix it?

I suggest you the troubleshooting steps in the document I linked above. Be sure to check the vents.  If you clear the vents does not solve the problem, then soak the print head can solve the problem.

  • Photosmart HP 5510 does not leak possible internal ink black ink print

A few days ago, I noticed that my 5510 photosmart printer was printing not anything in grayscale. The printer was only print a blank page. Given that the black cartridge was running low I deciced to replace the cartridge with a new cartridge HP XL Black real. This doesn't seem to work so I replaced the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges as well because they were weak. Once again this seems not the problem with the black ink print do not. I tried UN plugging in the printer, restore the factory settings, the ink head cleaning (as well as manually clean the black ink head), uninstall and reinstall the printer on my computer software and ensuring that each cartridge is properly ventilated properly. I tried to print a color document printed fine, but he left what was supposed to be black on the page.

I decided to investigate the inside of the printer, a little further with a flashlight while it was unplugged. Everything seemed fine until I have move the carriage of ink to the left and noticed that when the transport of ink is normally found on the far right, was full of black ink. Splashes of black ink are found all over the structure of the printer. The padding that is located inside the base of the printer is dipped in black ink as well. I don't know if this is normal or if this is the reason why black ink is not printing correctly, but I have pictures if anyone is interested in seeing.

The possibility of replacing the printer bothers me a lot because I just bought yesterday only $90 of the ink.

    Hi @Samantha88

I will private message you on that.

    Thank you
