Lenovo G510 cmos jumper location

Hello

I have a problem, because I changed a few settings in my bios (on the Advanced Options tab), and now the computer starts, but no display at all since the beginning (computer is turned on, but it is everything, will not start the system or anything).
Because of this problem, I need to locate the jumper cmos or something similar to reset the bios (I can't do this via recovery key because of the screen thingy, so I need for this equipment way). Can I please have info about this bios reset jumper location?
My motherboard is viwgq/gs la - 9641p rev 1.0

In the hope of answers.
Have a nice day y ' All
L.K.

Unfortunately, he got solved by buying the new bios chip and replacing the old.

    Hi all

Recently got a new laptop - Lenovo G510, 4700 i7, 12 GB ram, 500 GB SSD, new installation of 8.1 and all updated with the latest Windows/lenovo drivers. (add more RAM and new SSD myself - but the problem I was always present on the previous hard disk of 1 TB).

All right, fast and I am happy with the exception of one thing annoying reallly I spent hours trying to find a solution to 95% for = the touchpad!

When I scroll down on the touchpad... it... the page / screen scrolls upward!
I refer to the edge of the right side of the touchpad with a finger.

On any laptop I've had there was a setting where I can check/uncheck an option of scrolling so I can put it as I want - but this Lenovo uses Synaptics Touchpad v7.5 drivers and I can't find such a setting on the finger of a scrolling tab.

I uninstalled the drivers simply use the windows drivers, but it gives no option, no scrolling and a jerky cursor = no good.

I tried the Synaptics W7 drivers and it's all as well as the current 8.1 drivers.

Drivers Lenovo Web site page there are 3 riders: W7 and W8, W8.1 - I tried all.

I'm lost! I can't find a way to do such a thing simple... I want to be able to do is scroll down like I did for years and see the page down scrolling in the same direction!

I posted this on another forum too and not had a solution yet, sent either support from Lenovo and no response.

I know it's only a trivial thing and I should and could get used to it eventually... but I don't want to - my OCD won't let me - I want to establish this exactly how I have implemented any other computer laptop I have ever used.

Oh and yes I have google and google and google!

I watched a lot of solutions for the other similar/same problem, but they all seem to point to momentum/Elantech drivers but this laptop G510 only uses the Synaptics.

If I'm stuck with it? I would be very grateful if anyone can think of any hack / / workaround solution, thank you.

    Dan.

    Can try again you? (re-upload)

  • Lenovo G510 Linux - system freeze downloading complete

My Lenovo G510, with Qualcomm Atheros AR8172/8176/8178 Fast Ethernet Controller, almost constantly completely freezes when downloading via ethernet on Linux. In Windows 7, it works perfectly, so it's not a hardware problem. I tried various Linux distributions, 32 and 64-bit (Ubuntu 14.10, 14.04, Linux Mint Debian Edition, Fedora 20 etc.) -all behave in the same way. It always happens when you download large files (like a linux iso file) and sometimes even during the download of the smallest (such as trying to install applications of deposits online, or even try to update the repository of the respective linux distribution database). When freezing occurs, the system becomes completely insensitive, I can't yet move to another virtual terminal.

I would try a bios update, but there is a newer version of the bios for my model on the lenovo site, it says that it's only for Windows 8 and 8.1 - which I do not, and I fear that it could interfere with the functionality of my Windows 7 operating system.

How to solve this problem so that I am able to use linux, do you have advice?

Update the bios to Version 79CN50WW (V3.09) solved the problem. Now it works perfectly.

    http://download.Lenovo.com/Consumer/mobiles/viwgq309.exe

I don't know about you, but the update to the bios may need to be executed under Windows 8 or 8.1. I ran under 8.1.

  • Lenovo G510 problem wifi and ethernet

    Hello!

I have two Lenovo laptops, G50 and G510. The first works perfectly except the second after 10 months started yesterday which have problems with the network adapter.

The Wi - fi button is grayed out and cannot be opened and the ethernet port can not read any cable. I tried all the solutions I found on the web (deactivation and activation devices, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, updating the system and the system format) but failed. The ethernet adapter does not appear in network devices after the restoration of the system to its point original (format), even after installing the drivers for the network card I found in Lenovo support site. And all this happened yesterday when the only change in the system was a windows update. However if this was the problem of the restoration of the system, update and format should have fixed the issue.

I used windows 8.1 but now after the format I use 64-bit windows 8. Could you give advice? Could this be a hardware problem? I'm desperate here.

Really weird that both had fault at the same time. Try the following out the battery and the power source and press the power button without any power supply 5 times. And restart again.

If not try to work the boot in safe mode with network and see what is happening here. In the login screen hold down SHIFT key and choose reboot option. you will see Win8 advanced options.

  • Confused about the goal on an LED on my Lenovo G510 59-382843

    Hello!

My Lenovo laptop G510 59-382843 has three witnesses, two of whom are clear enough to be power and battery. However I don't know what means the third LED. I saw clearly that once when I was playing a game. It looks like a sign of up arrow with 'A', writes that it contains. Kind of like... you know, one the arrow upwards is like a hut with a written inside. I hope someone has an idea

    Thank you.

  • Pavilion zv5000: cmos battery location

I recently did a clean install of win7 XP and since then have had to reset the boot sequence.  After some research, I realized that the cmos was not keeping date/time, etc.  After you start through the process of recovery of the win7 os works find.  I downloaded the manual but have not been able to positively locate the cmos under the keyboard battery.  My laptop is a HP Pavilion zv5000 or zv5260us.  I would like advice as to its location, if it is welded to the and is replaceable?

Also, I would like to update the primary RAM of 256 to 1 GB.  The secondary was already running 1 GB.  Is this a possible upgrade?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Navy75

In fact, I used to own a very close model of one and can vouch that it can use 2 GB of DDR 800 SO - DIMM (first gen DDR). There is a slot under a door over there and the other is under the keyboard, which is not too difficult to remove it. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

I don't see anything in the manual about the RTC battery or its location which leads me to believe it is soldered to the motherboard.

  • UILoader jump location unspecified?

I have lot of SWF files external loading in my flash website with a UILoader on different marked sections.

I used only a single component UILoader (bearing the same name) and then kept in scaling and repositioning on different labelled sections.

Everything worked well until the end for some reason some of the jump UILoaders to its own position, and I can't seem to do anything.

I don't know where the error could have been.

ADDITIONAL INFO (WHICH COULD LEAD TO THE SOLUTION):

Everything worked fine with UILoader bringing in images of products that are accessible through the buttons image coded on the main time line.

Then I added a section application with sliding thumb nails menu and positioned the UILoader on other sections of the main time line, then I have reduced some of the UILoaders to be in a horizontal position, and it is they who are starting to jump to another location.

I also noticed that the files in the folder 'Active Elements', which I assume are for the UILoader support are to continue to grow with MC and components that are not created by me and have pictures of some things I've ever created in the Flash site?

For the sliding menu buttons are coded on the second line of time for thumb menu level. Here is the code for the buttons (which works fine):

    orchidsunderglass_thmbs_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, OrchidsUnderGlass_thmbs_btn_Down);

    function OrchidsUnderGlass_thmbs_btn_Down(event:MouseEvent): void {}

    MovieClip (parent.parent) .gotoAndPlay ("orchidsunderglass");

    }

    POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Make a single unique UILoader for each external SWF file?

Rewrite AS3 for sliding of the menus of thumb, by positioning it on the main time line?

    Here is my site: www.888acolyte.com

While it may not be the case in this case, I found that if you have the same components posed along the same timeline in adjacent images layer, which means no space empty between them, instances of the latter can inherit properties from the previous instances.  So you might want to see about the publication of an empty space between them, with the help of blank keyframes or then alternate between two layers so that you don't get any space between them.

I generally avoid using components, so another option, you can consider using the Loader class instead of the UILoader component.

  • Lenovo G510 video card problem

Hello! For some time, I have a few problems with the graphics card on my laptop. When I try to launch a game using the AMD graphics card by going to "Switchable Graphics", the game does not work, I mena I can hear background noise of the game, but the screen is black. When I switch to Intel graphics card the game works perfectly.

When I go to Device Manager, I see the graphics card Intel and AMD. But when I use FurMark I only see the Intel graphics card, which is the only one that works.

When I run TechPowerUp GPU - Z I get an error telling me to update my OPENCL and my video card driver.

    Any ideas, please?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Just remove Intel and AMD graphics drivers in Device Manager and of course be sure to remove the respective graphics software too (can be made in programs and features, found in Control Panel)

First install Intel Graphics driver, then install AMD graphics driver on the respective support of your OS site.

And do not update your Intel of Windows Update drivers and or directly from the site Web of AMD.

It is best to install drivers from manufacturer as they can be adapted to our machines.

    IM using G510 Windows Pro 8.1 x 64

AMD Radeon HD 8570 M, Intel HD 4600

  • How to format Lenovo G510 to factory settings?

Now I want the key recovert a return along the coast these 2 discs which each was 1 GB.

    How can I do?

    yashar2014,

Remove the utility OKR not to cancel the system warranty, but you can do "NOT" a return of the product without the OKR utility

Edit: If you re - the image of the system using the recovery media, then you should be able to return the machine

  • Photo of the CMOS jumper on the card mother Aurora-R4?

    Hello

Recently, I have a few problems with my PC does not start due to problems of RTC. So I changed the battery which has not changed a thing. So now, I tried to use the jumpers, but I really have no idea where they run. I found something but they have like 2-3-3 pin instead of just 3, so if someone could show me with a photo or two, that is it and what I have to do, I would really appreciate.

    With sincere friendships, Robin Oosterom
    PC is the Aurora R4

    RMoost,

Power the system off. Remove the cover. You want the one on the right. It is on pins 1/2. Put it on pins 2/3. Wait 5 seconds. Back on pins 1/2. Close the cover. Turn on the system.

  • g510 Lenovo fan noise

Hi, I bought a lenovo g510 a few months previously, he worked very well until a week ago, when I heard a loud noise coming from the fan of the laptop as soon as I pushed the power button to start the machine, after a second or two, the sound went and the laptop starts fine, but a few days ago This happens again, now if I put my ear close to the fan I hear a noise level of the fan almost sound like a rattle of the rotation of the fan, very low however. I need to fix this problem or is not a big problem?

    Thank you.

    Hi Alisheikh,

Normally, if the laptop fan is running, and a moment ago the angle of the fan change a little and can generate its minute, this is normal and it will not have any problem.
