  I'm a happy user of Lenovo y530 bought with MS Windows Vista Home Premium. I have easy access to your MSDN AA software. It allows me to download and install Windows 7 Professional for example. I downloaded the image, tested on virtual machine and it works fine. So I decided to install it directly on my hard drive for portable computers. I burned a dvd with a possible minimum speed and here I had a problem. It starts very well, I choose the language and locale, but after she, I have information that there is a missing cd/dvd driver. Installer wants to give me a file location.

  I don't know what driver is needed. I downloaded files related to my Optirac drive but they are all exe and it does not accept the installation program. Could someone help me?

• Problem with key 'Shift' Lenovo Y530

  I bought a Lenovo Y530 recently with Windows Vista 64-bit.

  I'm having a problem with the 'Shift' key as they seem to be related to some sort of function hotkey or short cut:

  Left Shift-> on a notebook left SHIFT press types "] yt ' and active / turns off the Capslock. He also started a search or find on the desktop

  Right shift-> by pressing the right shift key prints «...» MV' on Notepad and done something funny

  It is therefore impossible for me to use this laptop. I tried following things so far:

  1. disable the shortcut keys in the Intel Graphics toolbar

  2. all controls 'ease of use '.

  It seems that Shift key everything except what it is supposed to do.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  I think that I found a solution to the problem. Although it sounds randomly - but it works for me.

  It just open wordpad and begin typing shift with other keys at the same time and randomly - very random and very fast. Hmm and well, it suddenly begins to work properly. It's pretty random and the problem is back, but he always solved with this... well "method" (if you can call it a 'method').

  I have not had the problem for a few months now. So, it does not. It is not a hardware problem safe - and nothing to do with the access keys.

  I have a problem when I turn on my Y530. It will freeze in the startup Lenovo screen and I can't do anything except press and hold the power button / stop (F2 or F12 are not functional in this case).

Everything went smoothly until the installation of bluetooth, downloaded driver from lenovo support Web page seems to have a bug or smt. I can't install it.   I found a solution 4 me, probably not the best, but it seems 2 work...

  as there have not been any CD or dvd provided by lenovo, there was a partition container:

  * Repair Sytem software

  * OneKey Recovery Software

  * Vista drivers

  In the folder of vista drivers, there is a folder named "13.Bluetooth" containing the bluetooth drivers and software for windows vista. Installation only works for versions of vista, but there is a "Win32" subfolder (installation it does not work for me there again, it seems that for the 32 vista versions) containing another folder named 'bouzham '. There should be a file "DPInst.exe" and by the execution of it, you should be able to install the bluetooth drivers. If this isn't the case, follow these steps:

  -selected bluetooth device in Device Manager (of course there was no driver not installed, but nevertheless you should see, marked in yellow, if you pass on your wireless devices, time, manually and with the Fn + F5 keys)

  -Right-click on it in the context menu, select 'update driver... '. "(or install driver, I don't remember, but it should be two th)

  -in the first window, select "install from a list or specific location".

  -in the second window and then select "Search for the best driver in these locations" and check "include this location in the search" and navigate to the folder "bouzham" mentioned previously (... \13.Bluetooth\Win32\brcm), and then click ok, and then to have the drivers installed...

  Hi, I have a problem with my wireless network on my Lenovo Y530 Windows Vista, switch on the front is truned on, however, the light is off, when I go to device manager/network adapters/intel (R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN #3 and then click on 'Advanced' there is a button at the top of this window to enable or disable the wireless , at this point, IE the wireless is disabled, however when I change it to 'on' and hit 'apply' a window opens saying "Microsoft Management Console stopped working. and that the program will be closed. This happens every time and the wireless is turned off.

  Any help much appreciated

  Thank you for the reply, I reinstalled with the latest driver and still no luck, so I have removed the network adapter and then reinstalled again pysically and all is now good, must have just had a bad connection or something.

• Not satisfied with Lenovo warranty

  I have a Lenovo Y530 bought new by Lenovo. Last week, I noticed several bright spots on my screen. I instantly thought of pixel problems. But later the technician by telephone reported a few broken LED? So he has arranged for me to send the laptop to a repair depot. Little, I didn't know a few days later a Lenovo technician called and said that my laptop needed a screen.

  The other surprise was I have to pay for this $180! The technician said that the screen has been damaged by abuse. Although I never had the laptop out of the House and as says my daughter. I increased the request for review, but if they reject it I guess I'm on a laptop 6 months old, because I refuse to pay $180 for a screen that obviously has a defect.

  I just let people know that the warranty means nothing even if your computer shows absolutely no signs of violence. If they do not trouble so it attaches. I'm really sorry, that I paid for the extended warranty now. I'll remember next time. If it ends badly, there is no way I will never buy another Lenovo.

  Just to update on my warranty status. Finally, after 7 days, I received notice that my laptop could be repaired under warranty. The customer support person could not say specifically what could be repaired, but said the screen and/or all of the top panel with screen would be replaced. Mind you, they have received my laptop for repair the 10.

  What amazes me is how Lenovo is able to maintain a market share of business with this type of service. Although I suspect that their consumer line get less quality service then the business done. I certainly have the feeling of first-hand. This experience has certainly not wanting to buy another product from Lenovo. Indeed, although the customer service indicated that my laptop would be repaired and shipped to me by Thursday or Friday (21/22) I have yet to receive confirmation or a tracking number.

  I must warn you, that change the size of the C drive will make your recovery NOVO system unavailable.

  You can change the sizes of C and D in PartedMagic imagedownload, burn to a CD and boot from it. If you don't have a lot of experience in that it is not recommended to perform. Remember two important things: you must back up valueable data all before I start and do not interrupt the process, even if it will last 8 hours - you will lose your data.

  I use my Lenovo Y530 for some years now with little problem, but something happened recently that I can't explain. I left Windows Media Center open for an extended period, which caused my computer to have a major freak out. I tried to stop, but the windows closing page blocked out for 20 minutes so I finally had to shut down the computer manually. Since then, I had no Bluetooth connectivity. My Fn + f5 order disappeared and when I try manually to load the Bluetooth program, nothing happens. I don't know what drivers are the bluetooth, so I can't try to uninstall them and reinstall.

  It also, when I go into 'my cameras' my computer as "need troubleshooting." He says I'm missing a driver for an unknown device, but cannot locate. Maybe it's a separate issue, but it would not seem like it.

  Any ideas here?

• Ctrl + Alt + Delete disk error to restart?

  My Lenovo Y530 acted weird enough for about a week after it defrag with defraggler. Gel constantly and trolling. I had to shut down by pressing the button several times. Whereas yesterday it crashed and I fixed in safe mode after you run disk checks. Today, after it in hibernation for a night, it now reads «Disk-read error Ctrl + alt + delete to restart» There's nothing else with this message. Start the computer as usual with the sign of lenovo, but after that, it goes to the error. Lenovo, the purchase of the computer also doesn't give me a disk to restore the system, or any disk. The only program that could I suppose is one key recovery. Even then, I hesitate to use it after you have used in the past. He erases my HDD and resets its original configuration.   The error message may be due to one of the following reasons.

  ·         You may have a corrupt MBR (master boot record)

  ·         Your hard drive may have a bad sector

  ·         Defective disk

  To fix this, we would require the Windows vista installation disc.

  I suggest that arrange you for a Windows vista installation disc and try the steps mentioned below.

  Method 1

  Run the tool on the computer system restart and check if it works.

  I work with a Lenovo Y530 computer laptop (ab00216104). After a few years, the battery ceased to maintain a charge so I ordered a new third party like Lenovo temporarily stopped selling them. The new battery worked fine at first but, after a few minutes I get the message "battery plugged in, does not support" of the battery lower-left icon. It just stops charging the battery, but it will take place off the coast of the battery until it is unloaded. At first, I thought it was a bad battery however by many trial and error, I discovered the battery works fine. Let me explain.

  If I uninstall "control method battery compatible acpi Microsoft" in the Device Manager and reboot my computer with my card wireless off then the battery will work perfectly. It is not up to what I connect to the internet that it suddenly stops to load again. It is in the case once my computer is able to access to the internet and update of "control method battery compatible acpi Microsoft" that the problem occurs.

  As much, as I know there is no way to prevent it from updating once he establishes a connection and no way for "rolling back drivers" as long as this option is grayed out. I would be very happy any advice on this situation, thank you.

  Method 1:

  To enable or disable Windows Update driver manually on a single computer to research

  1. Click Start, right-click computer, and then click Properties.
  2. In the tasks list, click Advanced system settings.
  3. On the System Properties dialog box, click the hardware tab, and then click Windows Update driver settings.
  4. Select never check for drivers when I connect a device.
  5. Click OK twice, and then close the System dialog box.

  Method 2: install the latest drivers for chipset for laptop and the Coachman.

  If the problem persists, contact Lenovo support for assistance.
