  Empty your temp folder and try again.  If the installation stops again at 42%, open the activity monitor and put an end to a hooking up help the process.

• VMs migration from one to another on ESXi 5.1 data store (free license)

  I'm under ESXi in my lab (for the Cisco voice servers and a few Windows virtual machines). Virtual machines are on a datastore iSCSI hosted by a Netgear ReadyNAS Pro Business. Due to major problems with iSCSI on the ReadyNAS platform and the inability of Netgear to resolve problems (blocking NAS requiring a hard reset), I decided to buy a QNAP TS - 569 L and use it to host my ESXi data store. Now, I'm migrating my VMs from the iSCSI data store hosted on the ReadyNAS to the iSCSI data store hosted by QNAP.

  My VMs are supplied thin, and I want to preserve thin provisioning after migration. The data store Navigator ESXi can move (or copy) machines virtual data to another store, but thin-set in service virtual machines become thick-set service once they have been moved (or copied). Somebody advised Veeam to that end, I've installed and configured. Unfortunately, Veeam-error with the message that the current license does not have the migration of virtual machines from a data store to another. Just today, I learned that he must have at least the ESXi Essentials ($500) license to allow this type of migration of Veeam.

  I also tried OVFTool (the MMware command line utility), using the following syntax:

  QNAP-iSCSI is the name of the data store on the QNAP

  This is probably due to the same issue - free ESXi license does not allow this type of VM migration. So, what are my options with free ESXi license? I'm not willing to pay $500 for the license of the essential at this stage.

  A few options, I can think of are:

  • export to the FVO and re - import
  • use VM explore Trilead and backup/restore virtual machines
  • Use the vmkfstools command to copy the virtual disks

  > Depends on what your customers want to implement.  Or what kind of legacy system your client use depending on whether you may need some minor efforts to upgrade your application to 12.2.1. I suggest you go through the 12.2.1 the release notes to see if all newly added feature breaks the functionality of your customer or not and if necessary and then change your client application accordingly.

  Since I started using the portal sponsor ISE it showes me wrongly, see attached screenshot.

  

  I tried different browsers, but the problem is the same. Other pages are okay, just the basics with guest users have problem.

  Looks like it happened after upgrading from a previous version of ISE.

  Bug details are as follows:

  CSCuj93990   page accounts managed comments is not centered

  It is still in process and according to the report, it is said that it is addressed in version 1.3 of ISE, where we are re-design the comments feature to improve performance in ISE 1.2 issues free.

  If you need an immediate fix for this I'd say open a TAC case and apply the fix for this problem in one of the patches on ISE 1.2.

We use OWA and I can access this page from my phone and connect, but I get an error. I assume that the error is all simply because the page is too large for the phone to load. If I have SSL on and the hit test I get the error: connection to Server error. Please check youre network or server and re-synchronization settings. If I disable SSL I get error: there was a problem synchronizing messages. If I put in what I know to be the wrong address with SSL off I get error messages from the server connection, so I think I'm at least getting the phone to see the server.

  Kayden plugged away and got her headaches of restated certificate.  He ran Server2003 with Exchange2007 and we discovered that the previous admin never swapped the original self-signed certificate that Exchange moved with.  You know, - the cert that totally kills your ability to activesync, because it is not issued by a certificate authority valid with a server to export cert and inject it into a Centro (or other handheld).

  As a solution in the short term for his small business, he did not convince management to buy a commercial cert immediately.  Instead, they choose to install Server 2003 become business certification as their own certification authority root in trust with the ability to issue free self-signed certificates.  In addition, the Microsoft suggestion is that cert SAN is the best way to secure Exchange Server.  He has used a simple hack to activate his new CA to issue certificates of SAN and was able to issue a custom SSL certificate.  We are now ready to install and get things running.

  After a little confusion about which cert is supposed to go where (a root CA certificate was downloaded from the CA server to add to each customer so that they would trust self-signed certificates), the new SSL certificate has been installed by using Exchange Management Shell first IMPORT the cert, then turn it.

  VersaMail has been configured to connect to the Exchange 2007 server using the Regional service and the first synchronization went perfectly.  With sync "as items arrive" handheld is able to send and receive without any problem.

  first of all - all the patches of workstation are free for the life of the product,

  Personally I never purchased a support package for workstation I have always used this forum for any answers I've might need in the past and will do so if I have problems in the future.  Technical staff VMware is actively encouraged to be active here.  That said there are "USERS" here which knowledge can often exceed that of personal helpful VMware.

  one thing to note is that this is not taken into official charges and all the tips here are offered for free and without any guarantee (buyer beware) RTFM (read the fantastic manual - or more precisely these days Web site)

  Hoping someone can help me solve a license problem I have...

  We have several hosts of ESXi 5.1 existing in the branches (1 per branch), they are currently licensed using the free version of ESXi. I would now like to add these servers to a new Server Standard central vCenter 5.5 so they can be managed through that. For this we bought licenses of VM ROBO 125 (Standard) licence.

  My plan was just to add a hosts to vCenter both and change them to ROBO licenses however the first snag I hit was that you can't add a free licensed with ESXi host to vCenter, just enough so I thought I'd just change it back to the eval method to add it and then modify and utilize licensed ROBO. However, it seems that the eval mode has been fully utilized until the free license has been added so I can't change it back to the eval mode.

  I then noticed that we had a business license of 5.5 spare CPU 2 on the vCenter, so I added the host (change so that it uses this license during the import process). It worked and the host is now in vCenter using the company key 5.5 (although it shows as using a key Enterprise 5.1 of the same number), he didn't complain that the license key was invalid due to me using a key of 5.5 to a host 5.1 of the license.

  However when I went to change to use the ROBO button, I get a an error 'A specified setting is not correct: licenseKey " and it won't let me change the license ROBO. It is not clear to me why I am getting this error, but is there a specific problem with a host from a host permits licensed ROBO (I have not found anything about it)? I found this article VMware KB: licensing to a host ESXi fails with the error: a specified parameter is not correct: licenseKey which indicates that there might be a license version number issue however I would have thought I would have got this error when I tried to apply the license 5.5 host to the host in the first place but that has worked well. The ROBO in vCenter license just said v5 rather than v5.5 is therefore a specific point of ROBO license version and I need to downgrade to get a license for 5.1 or is going on here about something else?

  I could be wrong, but this could be linked to the ESXi/vCenter Server version you are using. If I understand correctly the ROBO new licenses properly, by VM license requires ESXi and vCenter 5.5 Update 2 or later (see for example compare VMware vSphere Editions). In previous versions ROBO has been licensed by processor.

  Everything that Google talk to me about my problem, to include multicore currently VMware licensing policy, has been a year or so old so I thought I would ask here.

  The last part to my new server from the lab to the home coming today, I'm refreshing my old box mono-socket dual-core opteron I have used for the past two years; the new system is built around a motherboard very mono-socket G34 with processor 8-core Opteron Magny-Cours.  What I was googling earlier, it seems that VMware has not fixed the '6 cores per socket"licensing issue.  This license number is very strange since CPUs 8-core brand new ones can be had for less than $250 and 12 processors can be had for a little over $500, so they are not exactly going to be unique in large data centers.

  I really want to stay with ESXi. That said, can someone tell me if I have to move to Hyper-V, I already have rights, just to be able to use all my new bright carrots?  A couple of thousand dollars just to support a processor whose capabilities are more or less comparable to a quad-core xeon w / hypethreading, lighted, who would work under the free license as I read it, is not in the budget.

  My question is this, is it possible to deny the exclusive, royalty-free license throughout the world to use my content that I can download using your service of the Mozilla? "I will not be forced to allow anyone this type of license to use my art or writing ' ad arbitrium".

  IIRC, section 5 is basically guaranteeing that you are the real owner of the content that is uploaded to Sync, and that Mozilla is not going to get justice for copyright infringement, the content that you download is safe, and the terms are for a "license to use your content in the framework of the provision of Services' not even Mozilla can access.
