LifeChat LX-3000 no silent microphone

I used my LifeChat headset for about a month now and all of a sudden, the Red mute light will not extinguish.  In others, it will not reactivate.  I tried to remove and reinstall the driver.  The volume up and down buttons work but the mute and hang-up buttons do not work.  It is disappointing to thing that the helmet will not yet changed a month but, is that what it boils down to?  I need a replacement?  Any suggestions?

    Hey,.

I bought the lifechat LX-3000 headset 5 months ago. It is in a great shape and worked really well until yesterday.

I just played online, also using a program called TeamSpeak3 to discuss with my friends when my microphone started to Crackle.

Although the sound (playback) is good, not crackling all playing music or hear other people talking.

    I tried:

Change USB ports (twice) and I always kept on the Web at mattress 'default' in the properties.

Test with 3 different programs. (TeamSpeak3, Skype, recorder of windows).

    Furthermore, I use Windows 8.

now, not only that mic is crackling, no one can hear me when I speak, not even if I yell it.

Thank you very much for the help!

  • Sound problems and micro Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000

    Hello

About a year ago and a half years, I bought the Lifechat LX-3000 headset. They worked great for a long time, but now it seems they are mess up :(
Two weeks, I was on my desktop Windows 7 Professional x 64 and I was getting complaints my microphone on Skype is gone completely silent and occasionally during these moments of silence, would that make a really loud cracking sound. Then I tested it in the tape and confirmed that there was a problem. He plugged out and back in and it was great to work for about 5 minutes, then he started again. I then plugged into an USB extension cable 2 meter to which he was previously connected and it worked great again for like 3 days.
3 days later, he did it again despite it was connected to the back of the PC. I then plugged on the front of the PC, and it worked great for like 4 days.
Today, I'm sitting here on my Windows laptop, 8 x 64 and the sound went away completely. I assumed initially that I had eliminated the USB so I plugged it on then back in and it worked very well. He then did again as three minutes later. Now, its been almost 20 minutes and it works well again.
Anyone has any ideas at all? They are in good condition because they are a year and a half, they never took to big drops, the best that I would do is lay on my bed.
    * EDIT - however, no matter how the music is now, always adjust. Initially I thought it was a problem of power, but now they work very well: o

  • sensitivity Microsoft lifechat lx-3000 too high (problem of noise cancellation)

I bought a Microsoft LifeChat lx-3000 microphone a few months before and never found out how to reduce the sensitivity of my microphone. In a conversation with my friends, they pretend to hear a lot of noise and it's almost quiet in my house. How can I solve the very high sensitivity to a sensitivity much more low where they can ONLY hear me when I talk?

Thank you for taking the time to look at my problem!

EDIT: Seems to be more of a noise canceling the problem rather than sensitivity, if that helps at all.

  • Problem random micro LifeChat LX-3000

I bought the helmet at Christmas and have had no problems until today. I was talking on teamspeak so only ingame of troubleshooting 2 when I noticed that no one could hear me, I looked at and it appeared no sounds through the microphone, I rebooted teamspeak think that's where the problem was, I used the Skype test call and no noise was there. I looked at other threads on this site and tried the techniques, they fixed for 2 minutes, then my microphone cut again, if someone could help I would appreciate it really as voice chat is vital for me. Sorry if this is in the wrong category

    Hi EJFinman,

Thank you for visiting the Windows community.

What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried?

In a first step to solving problems, try to configure the Microsoft LifeChat as default playback device.

When you use the Microsoft LifeChat headset, you hear any sound through the loudspeaker.

If the above is not enough, you can reinstall the drivers LifeChat LX-3000.

  • LifeChat LX-3000

I use the LifeChat LX-3000 USB for my Skype calls on a Dell Vostro 1510, is there a way I can get the headphones pluged in uninhibited my computer speakers? Thank you

    Hi markswanson,

Once the headphone is plugged, it becomes the default device, you cannot have external speakers and the headphone works at the same time. It is by design.

  • LifeChat LX-3000 low Volume at startup, requires a reboot

I bought the LifeChat LX-3000 2 weeks, and it worked fine until 2 days ago. Initially, the volume started fluctuating. I restarted the computer, that fixed it. Then the helmet itself set to a very low volume of base, so when the volume control on the PC is in full I can barely hear. To resolve this problem, I had to uninstall the software and the headset to the Device Manager, restart the computer and reinstall. This again once solved the problem. However, the volume is now very low again. I don't want to have to keep restarting just to use the earpiece. Any ideas?

Well, everything seems to work fine now. I think that's not as when I start the computer with the headphones plugged, but thanks for the help, she will keep noted if he plays again up.
