• Uninstall the 5 Lightroom on Mac preference files

  Greetings community. I think this is my first post here.

  Having recently arrived at the opening, I'm relatively new to Lightroom (should have w Lightroom long ago!). My machines are Mac, all the latest operating system running.

  I upgraded to Lightroom CC of the LR5 and wants to get rid of the LR5 and its dealing with files. I understand that Lightroom 5 does not use a program uninstaller for macs, and we are to move the application to the trash as usual. However, after consulting with the help of Adobe, I came across this page: preference and other locations of files in Lightroom 5

  and it lists a bunch of places in the library where you can find the cache and plist files and preference model to manually remove the user.

  
  

  For many of them, I understand, and it's easy as follows the listed files and deletion. But in /Users/ [user name] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom / [folder preset or model] / [preset or template filename.lrtemplate], where there are many .lrtemplate files, I can't tell if they are 5 Lightroom or CC (I don't have a 5 Lightroom subfolder in the Lightroom folder like most of the examples page Web suggest; mine is going right from Lightroom-> ad a bunch of presets files). I'm pretty sure it's no biggie just letting them not to be, but in the interest of keeping a clean house, I wonder if there is a way to know if all files LR5 are gone - or updated day.

  The Presets Sub-folders are a shared resource between all installed versions of Lightroom, which is in your case the LR5 and now LRCC would use... so better to leave them where they are. It is the same for all subfolders under users/library/application support/adobe/lightroom.

• 6 Lightroom preference file missing setting GPU?

  We have installed just 6 Lightroom on our machine Windows 10 with AMD Radeon 6700 M GPU. It makes it never past starts, no result of menu selection in "not responding."

  I found the GPU troubleshooting and FAQ and tries to follow the step "manually turn off the graphics processor. I opened:

  but I can't find either useAutoBahn = true , or = false useAutoBahn

  I tried to insert false setting in the file, preferably where it seems to belong in alphabetical order, but this has no effect.

  Anyone know why he was absent and where it belongs?

  In attempting to open beta LR5, I had to reset the preferences, but when I open the Lightroom file preferences were missing. Windows search not him did not, where have they gone?

• Photoshop CC 2015 and Mac OS10.5 - saved file missing icons

• Photoshop CS5 for Mac.  Is no longer able to open the program after reinstalling on MacBook Pro.  Download the message «end of file unexpected met»  Then get "failed to initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been removed)." 

  Someone at - it advice on how to open Photoshop CS5 for Mac.  Is no longer able to open the program.  Just get the emblem of blue PS and the message "unable to load actions because an end of life unexpected has been met.  Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted). "I tried to reinstall the program from the original disc.  Is this a problem with the operating system?  Thanks for any idea.

  Now try control-alt-shift key (Ctrl-alt-shift on Windows) and start Photoshop. An option button will open and opt for delete the settings file - see if that helps any.

• Location of Lightroom 2.6 on Windows 7 preferences file

  I just installed windows 7 on my laptop and that you want to copy my preference of my desktop Vista file then I have the same setup. I find the preferences file in vista under users/myname/appdata/roaming/adobe/lightroom depending on the position on this.  However in my installation of windows 7 I just a user 'computer admin' and if I click on that I see not any AppData folder.  Gratefulyl suggestions received.

  It may be hidden. Try to turn on 'show hidden' or ' display system of "files.

  whenever I run illustrator that I encounter a new error.

  This problem that manifests itself after I added a few other .ai and .ase files in my directory of nuances. I think not changed nothing else.

  don't know how to diagnose the problem. is there a mode debug or something? Maybe a file in question.

  one option would be to try to remove each added file swatch or folder individually, but it would be a very tedious process for me.

  I use cs4 on a Macbook pro running Snow Leopard - 10.6.2 and would appreciate your advice.

  Whenever you close Illy, the current preferences (which may have been changed while you worked on files) are recorded, and every time that you start Illy, these preferences will be used.

  Usually, corruption of preference probably appears randomly, caused by the operating system, but if something in your files to change preferences to something that is not viable, you will get an error like this.

  You can press Cmd + Option + shift during startup, which will replace the current preferences with the default values, and no doubt you you get rid of the error message. It is probably not a cure, however.

  If the error is persistent, the cure would be to get rid of things that are implicated in the files you are editing.

• missing preferences file

  I have no preference file I can find.  I thought that it was created automatically.  When I looked for it, I got the design premium trial version, but since I bought the full suite I've always.  I looked in the application data directory and did a complete search system and there is no preference file can be found.  How this can be fixed and what kind of problems this causes?

  Did you do a search, including hidden files and folders for the Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder (I presume it's CS4)?

• Restarting Lightroom - how * and * recorded preferences (and start with the specified catalog)

  I know how to restart Lightroom (with specified catalogue), but the preferences are not saved:

  Win: lightroom.exe - restart {catalog}

  Mac: Open it {catalog of}

  But sometimes (often) it would be preferable if the preferences were recorded in endangered.

  PS - I can out Lightroom preferences recorded by the farce of the keyboard (Alt/Cmd-FX), but how to get it to start (with specified catalog).

  Any ideas?

• "Update" grayed out in Lightroom 6 on Mac

  I just bought and downloaded the upgrade to Lightroom from 5 to 6. It is installed on my laptop and Macbook Pro fine. I'm trying to upgrade to version 6.5 on my Mac and the 'update' under 'Help' option is greyed out. It worked fine on my PC, but the Mac gives me questions.

  I am signed in on Mac and have tried signing on the PC. No difference. I also followed the link here to download 6.5 on its own. When I try to run, I get an error telling me that updates have been deleted by the administrator.

  Can anyone help?

• Double problem: no printing and no preferences file

  When I go to print from Lightroom 5.7.1, there is no image of the photo in the upper left "navigation" box. The image appears in the middle of the paper as it usually does, but when the print command is given, nothing else blank paper comes out of the printer.

  Thinking that it can be corrected with a re - install, I uninstalled and reinstalled 5.7. When it does work, I upgraded 5.7.1 and installed. Still does not solve the problem.

  So I thought to replace the preferences file might do the trick. But it is not even an Adobe folder in the folder Win 7 C:\users\[user]\roaming. Te only one folder it is the Intel.

  I did a disk clean up without a change in the result. What is happening and what can I try next? I have the stand alone, not the CC version.

  In the print Module, this isn't a "browser" in the top left corner. It simply shows what model you use. The image will not be displayed at this location. Have you been to the page layout that opens to your printer driver and make sure you have set the options of the printer correctly?
