Lightroom uninstall and reinstall error
I uninstalled lightroom because I got an error telling me to uninstall and reinstall so I uninstalled and creative cloud has always said that it is always installed, so it won't let me reinstall it. What should I do?
Try quitting the application cloud Creative Manager and then signing back again.

Using a Mac OSX updated 10.9.5, to update to the latest update of Lightroom, now get error - Lightroom met permission issues. Click on fix - cannot fix. You click on read more and I tried all the solutions. Always error. Uninstalled and reinstalled - always error. Cannot set up a new admin on Gov't computer user. Help
Please make sure that you gave permission for the folders listed in the article, follow these steps.
1 - give read and write permissions for the Application Support folder and preferably on User Library and the secret library.
2 - Add user and admin both permissions.
When you open the Get Info option for specific folder.
Make sure you click on '+' symbol, it will open the list of user accounts. Add currently logged in user account and Director of user account, if it is not added.
Both must have read and write to prevent access these some questions in the future.
Important:
Once you added as currently logged on user account and administrator user accounts and provided access for reading and writing.
Make sure you click on the gear icon and select apply to closed.
Lock dialog box and close the Get Info .
So that all the folders in the folder Adobe will get read and write access.

On a Mac running OS x 10.11 and final version of Lightroom CC from today.
Before updating to lightroom, everything was fine. After lightroom update at startup, I get:
Configuration error
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem persists, please contact Adobe technical support help and mention the error code displayed at the bottom of this screen.
Error: 16
[OK]
So I uninstalled Lightroom desktop CC application. He asked me if I wanted to remove preferences, and I said yes.
I have re-installed Lightroom and exhibit the same problem.
Research on here, I found a reference to make sure that/Library/Adobe and ~/Library/Adobe are writable. I think that it was a typo: this file does not exist, but/Library/Application Support / Adobe and ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe exist and are writable.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Andrew
Hi AndyKirby,
- Open a Terminal.
- Copy and paste this command: sudo chmod-r 777 library/Application\ Support / Adobe
- Press enter and give your password if requested.
- This should fix the permissions at the origin of this error.
- Let us know how it worked and mark the correct answer if it did.
Kind regards

"Configuration error please uninstall and reinstall the product.
I had CS5.1 installed for a few years now, I tried to run Photoshop and I had 'Configuration Error Please uninstall and reinstall the product', as well as tips contact the Adobe Support if the problem recurs. Contact the Support from Adobe is a bit like Super Bowl tickets I decided to not not start here.
Anyone know the cause of this? There is something much less time than the uninstalling and reinstalling that can fix? My computer broke down several times recently, I'm Mac OS 10.6.8 and it seems to be a feat Flash or Java, Firefox is sensitive to what I fixed with NoScript and a Flash Disabler that can be linked, I am not sure. Photoshop is not running during one of the accidents.
I do not have a backup of my Applications folder that still works fine (on another machine), a restore would fix this?

After uninstalling and reinstalling 42.0 FF, I get BSOD 0x000000F4 error
FF has been excruciatingly slow and constantly crashed. I tried to reset, but does not solve the problem, so I did a uninstall and reinstall. Now, I get the BSOD every day, stating that "a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly released or terminated" and noting that the problem is often caused by the problem with newly installed hardware or software. FF is the only new software that I installed it. I have not installed new hardware. The stop error is always the same: 0x000000F4. Thanks for your suggestions you may have.
Thanks for the suggestion, Kyle. I uninstalled and reinstalled FireFox and did not get a BSOD. It only 24 hours since I've done this, but so far, everything is fine. Thanks again!

Cannot install itunes for windows - error: Apple Application Support is required to run Itunes Helper. Uninstall and reinstall (as I did twice)
For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.
Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.
More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.
Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

Silverlight works do not error message saying that I have to uninstall and reinstall.
Note: I'm on Firefox.
So I'll try to watch some shows on Netflix. It gives me an error saying I need to uninstall and reinstall. Very well, I do. But now it's saying the same thing every time (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/DUfhLzP.png). Amazon Prime streaming does not work when he had beforehand.
I have tried several things to solve this problem, including:
Empty my cache
Clear cookies
Uninstall and reinstall Silverlight several times
Try another browser
Disabling Antivirus
Running a manual uninstall using a Notepad .cmd file
Run the FixIt application several times
Whenever I run the app FixIt it says I have a corrupt download and fixed it. He has not yet actually to do anything.
It is a very frustrating issue, especially when I've used up so much time trying to troubleshoot it.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you

So I installed CS6 on my Z210 Windows 7 workstation. But when I go to open half of the programs, in particular first Pro I get this message...
Configuration error
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem persists, contact Adobe technical support for assistance, and
mention the error code displayed at the bottom of this screen.Error: 1
http://www.Adobe.com/support/
I could really use some help here. What really gets me, is apparently the Adobe customer service does not all calls. Are you kidding me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I found a similar situation here on this forum, but I still have questions:
http://www.techyv.com/questions/Adobe-Photoshop-CS6-error-code-1Hello
Method 1:
I would say allowing you to run the FIXIT from the link provided and check if it helps.
Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/
Method 2:
If the problem persists, you can start the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to install the program.
This could happen if one of the substantive programmes is in conflict with the proper functioning of your computer. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.
Hope this helps and keep us informed if you need help.

I have the version of Lightroom 6 buy. I uninstalled and reinstalled. But now I can't update. Need me always to Adobe Creative cloud, which I did not. How can I do?
At some point in the past (I don't know the exact date) Adobe "merged" the original update manager in cloud Update Manager, which means that you no longer use your original update manager
I read a lot of posts that the updater latetest (cloud) sometimes does not work with old programs... Try to install your updates manually
Beginning of the updates here and product selection, read to see if you need to install updates in the order of the numbers, or if updates are cumulative for the product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

I installed acrobat reader in window10 and demoted to the 8.1 window. After downgeading 8.1, acrobat reader does not run and also do not uninstall and reinstall. Only, I get the error message. What should I do?
Hi soyoungl9536964,
Please try to run the cleanup tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to remove all traces of the reader.
Then, restart your machine and install the latest version of the player from here:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions
Let me know if any problem will persist.
