  Me'm Sudhakar works for Intel, Bangalore. I use the phone for 4-5 months and had some problems of exchange messaging features. So I did a factory reset and tried to quantify phone to install the certificates.

  After you select Encrypt phone (phone was at the same time under load 80 + %), phone started and stopped at screen Lenovo. Waited for 10 minutes and then I turned off because the screen does not move even to encrypt page. He always showed the Lenovo screen only. So I did a power OFF using the power button / stop, but now the phone is not yet on.

  Tried pressing the hard power button, but it is not powered.

  Can you please help? What should I do now?

  Dear staff of Lenovo,
  Phone started to work after leaving unattended for 3 days. Battery is completely empty and after that when I plugin the charger the LED started to blink red and the restoration began to work... Not sure why the battery should be drained completely.

  A factory reset after that and now phone is functional...

• Linked clone failed: the operation is not supported on the object

  Hi all - I would appreciate help on a related clone operation that is a failure.

  I use Quest vWorkspace to create linked clone VM in my environment.  It integrates with virtual Center and creates from a VM snapshot parent according to normal related clones.  It has just stopped working and I am trying to track down the cause.  The task fails with the error message in the console of VMware vCenter: the operation is not supported on the object.

  The vCentre is 5.5 and esxi.  vWorkspace is v8.0 MR1.  The parent VM is located on an iSCSI datastore.  I tried to put the clones of destination on premises and warehouses of NFS data with the same result.  Unfortunately I can't (don't want really to) move the VM parent from the data store that I have of many VM related to this virtual machine.

  The failure message is a bit generic, so I looked on through the vmkernel.log and vpxa.log and it is an excerpt from the vpxa.log whereby it shows failed task 153.  Can someone please indicate something in the newspaper that had to be examined or another newspaper to look at?

  Hello guys,.

  For those of you already on 5.5, I did a few tests these days. I did find a magic bullet yet as a single parameter that is sure to break but I came up with a workaround.

  I found that if my ESXi server was still on the 5.1, vWorkspace could deploy clones linked via vCenter 5.5 - it's only when the ESXi is also on 5.5 that you have a problem.

  If any of you have ESXi hosts still on 5.1, you can deploy there for now.

  In ESXi 5.x, it is easy to have an ESXi virtual machine. You might want to consider creating some virtual boxes ESXi to deploy on while the vworkspace dev team look at why it does not work.

  I know that this is not the best solution in the world, but it's better than no work around

  Looks like that model files still sitting on the data store.

  It will be really difficult for me to keep track of which is where?

  As long as a VMDK is necessary for all child VM still in Lab Manager (or a child of this VM) it will stay on the drive in its original folder.  You can eliminate some of the records/VMDK by consolidating the configurations that have been cloned from a template.  We do it with most of the configurations captured at the library.  You must be careful if or it will cost you a lot of space if

• Links working in the preview, but does not work after the FTP download

  I have multiple master pages in my muse adobe site and all works perfectly links in the preview. After download of however, and visit the online site, two links in my master page won't work. On another master page, all the links do not work. I also have different skins for hover, active and visited States and some links work but do not properly follow their States. I have had this problem before, when the first generation site and was able to get technical support for adobe to fix it for me through some troubleshooting by chat. However it happens to more of my links now. I have everything set up according to the interface of muse adobe that it should work fine. I have no idea why I continue to encounter this problem.   On your model page to make a selection of all the... CTRL/A or CMD/A to select all elements on the page. Looks like you have some invisible items you overlapping menus. Alternatively, you can try to right click on your menu and then "put at the top". Hope that helps. If this isn't the case, you can provide a link?

• Complete clone of a linked Clone does not work

  I'm trying to generate a complete clone of a clone related with snapshot (power off). I am able to start the clone wizard and check the full clone option radio button. Even the cloning process works without any problem. But in the end the clone resulting is again a linked clone. I tried a few things to get a full clone without success.

• Linked clone is not the deletion of the Horizon view administrator

  I am trying to remove a linked clone (and pool that linked clone). However, he advised that is the removal of more than 12 hours. • How can you tell if a machine virtual is a linked clone or not

  I am able to create VM linked to from a snapshot through the SDK.

  The only way I can say that the virtual machine is linked is the size of the vmdk file.

  I was wondering if all the properties on the virtual machine can distinguish the VM, linked to the normal ones.

  Since it is the basic disk is supported by the VM of the parent in which the linked Clone was created from, you could look at it's peripheral VirtualDisk and check to see if it's parent, if so it will repoint towards the main VM VirtualDiskFlatVer2BackingInfo in which the LC has been cloned from.

  The other thing is if you created of LC and you want to distinguish between internally, just add an annotation on the VM the LC has been cloned from and perhaps say it is a LC, might be easier if you follow just internally.

• VMware Linked Clones in vWorkspace

  I am currently working on a proposal where client insist on the use of the VMware hypervisor as the note of calculation. I have some research in the related Clones and basically its similar to what the differencing disk VHD got to offer. My main concern here is so we can use the technology VMware Linked Clones to deploy persistent desktop or is it only for non-persistent desktop mode? How about storage if economies compared to the disk hard virtual differencing disk? What is the estimate of the use of the delta of a typical user based on your experience? Thanks for the advice!

  I can answer some of your questions.

  You can use a clone bound like a persistent desktop computer, it does not work.

  After a while, however, the linked Clone will be so different from the image of the mother, it will become very swollen (for example, updates of Windows to go it would be applied to each clone bound, user installed Apps, etc.)

  I know some customers like to capture profiles on persistent desktop computers so that they can periodically update the image of the mother and redeploy related clones from there. It works well to keep the machine day and bloating under control. The obvious drawback being any user installed apps would disappear, but it all depends on if you allow them this level of customization.

• Best way to rebalance local drives with linked clones?

  • 5.2 seen running, looking to update soon.
  • We use local storage (FusionIO).
  • Each pool is distributed over 4 servers running these local storage.
  • Our related clones are not persistent - users do not get a specific office, and workstations are deleted on logout.

  So, I want to patch servers.

  My thought on this is:

  1. Edit the pool to remove local storage on the server to be patched.
  2. Rebalance.
  3. Perform the update (mode maintenance, blah blah blah).

  So the rebalance operation is having limited success in my first try

  I am aware of that: VMware View 5.2 Documentation Library : you cannot balance the load of the virtual machines on a pool of resources. For example, does not allow the operation of rebalancing View Composer with linked clones that are stored in local warehouses of data.

  So I can't rebalance (first of all, I'm not sure why? In my case, cannot not machines just be deleted and recreated elsewhere - whereas a rebalancing is also a refresh anyway)?

  What is the best approach?
