Linksys WRT150N router

I have a Linksys WRT150N router.  My OS is win XP pro.  Easy Link Advisor tells me during the installation that I am not connected to the Internet on my desktop computer.  However, my office is connected to the Internet and my laptop wireless via the WRT150N router.  I not unhooked the easy Link Advisor, cleaned the register of all keys of Linksys and reinstalled the easy Link Advisor. The installation is complete.  Easy Link Advisor is ready for installation on my desktop computer.  When I go into the configuration process with my wall of fire off the end result, is that I am not connected to the internet.  I know I'm using internet at this time.  Help!

Do not use the EasyLink Advisor to configure the router... Open the router setup page by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Now, configure the router.

  • Linksys wireless router is not my new Motorola modem Internet access

I am relatively new to setting up home networks, so it's maybe a stupid question but I'm stuck! I bought a new modem Motorola (SurfBoard 1621) as my old Motorola modem was not favorable to the increase of the speed offered by Comcast. The modem I bought was a model recommended by their web site. They recorded the new modem last night and I can access the Internet when the PC is connected directly to the modem, but not when the laptop is connected to my Linksys wireless router. (Sorry, I don't know the model because it is at home and I'm at work!) Is there something I should do for the router to recognize the new modem? The router recognizes the wireless laptop, but it can not connect to the Internet.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Success! Thanks a lot for your answer. My router is a WRT - 54G links.

The instructions were very informative, although I have a suggestion. Just restart the modem and the router did not work. I had to reboot other equipment in my system (a NetGear firewall and a level switch 5 ports) and the router and the modem. I would like to see the reboot of reference tracking "and other devices. I guessed the appropriate power of sequence (modem, firewall, switch, router, computer), and fortunately, it worked.

Again, thank you for your quick response.

  • Cannot connect my HP Photosmart c309g-m printer to my Linksys WRT54GC router. "No filtering = FAIL.

I have problems connecting my HP Photosmart c309g-m to my Linksys WRT54GC router.  The diagnostics report says "no filtering = FAIL" in all my attempts.

First I had implemented security wireless to the router with a personal WPA2 password.

Because this does not work, I spent my WPA security, given that the diagnostic report suggests that this is what he actually uses for encryption. This no longer works.

I double and triple checked the MAC address of the printer in my MAC filtering wireless settings. He was right. However, he didn't always connect.

Reluctantly, I turned MAC filtering. However, the printer still wouldn't connect.

Now, I'm out of options. All possible ideas for this problem?

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. check that the SSID is being broadcast.

    2. make sure that DHCP is active.

    3. don't use MAC filtering (it is not a security measure, in any case).

4 change the channel from router to 11.

  • Cannot renew the IP (WPC54G card/Linksys Wireless Router)

I think that the Wireless 'hardware' (is that correct?) in my laptop came out because I could use my Linksys wireless router until I installed a Wireless Linksys WPC54G card if I used an ethernet cable to connect with.  If the card is installed and I am connected to my network, I have an excellent signal but no Internet connectivity. I did the command "ipconfig" and renewed my IP address, but it appears as 169.xxx.x.x. I can't renew the IP address of 192.xxx.x.x.

Does anyone know how to fix, or what is the problem?  I'm set up to ensure that the configuration of IP address automatically, so it has nothing to do with it.  Thank you.

First check the settings on your Linksys router wireless... Follow this link (this must be done on a computer/laptop wired)...

Once you know the SSID and the network/WEP/WPA key, then uninstall the adapter linksys and re - install...

Uninstall the Linksys software menu programs... Re - install drivers insert the CD of Linksys install in your CD-ROM drive, when the welcome is displayed click on exit, connect your USB adapter now... When the Hardware Update Wizard window appears, click on install the software automatically (recommended) and then click Next.

NOTE: The hardware installation screen may appear indicating that the adapter has failed the Windows Logo test. Ignore the window and click on continue to continue the installation because the adapter has been tested and it works with Windows XP. When Windows has finished installing the driver, click on Finish.Goto Control Panel and double-click on network connections... Right click on wireless network connection, and then select view available wireless networks "-If you see your network wireless in the list, the highlight by clicking 'single' on it now, click on the 'Connect' button below-if your wireless network is secured, it asks you to provide the network key - provide the wireless network key and confirm again in the confirmation box and click 'Connect'." • G60 - 228CA: unable to connect to the Linksys E2500 router with laptop G60

    Hello

I hope someone can help because I've been through the forums and I will have no chance to solve my problem.  I bought a new router (Linksys E2500) and my laptop (G60 - 228 CA) HP can detect the router but just failed to connect to the internet.

I tried to diagnose all the problems which have been proposed, but that did not help.  I restarted the router, nothing helps.  I tried to download and install a new driver to replace the old (Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g WiFi Adapter) but still had no luck.

Really not sure where go from here so looking for help solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello:

Verify that the driver you have installed is actually that of 2011.

If not, go to the device, right click on the atheros wireless card, Manager select uninstall and if there is a box to uninstall driver for check, check.

Reboot and try the driver I posted again.

If the date and the driver version is what is indicated on the driver file, then unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
