What is a Windows 8 certified USB flash drive?
I just bought my 3rd USB flash drive in the hope of being able to copy my recovery image. My computer would not use the first two I tried all ports USB 4 - port 2.0 and 3.0. This time, I bought a HP flash drive who said that she supports Windows 8. I understand that I should not use a Windows 8 certified USB flash drive. Before I open this disc, I want to know if it's a. If so, I will return it not open - unlike the first two I tried.
The States of package under requirements that Windows 8 is one of the necessary systems. For me, this does not mean that it is certified for Windows 8. Am I wrong?
Computer: HP 500 - a60. 8.1 Windows (x 64)Hello
Your question has not been answered by Erico on one of your other posts?
If a piece of equipment is certified MS then it should be presented to MS for certification. Some USB flash drives are marked on the package compatible with Windows 8, but this does not mean that the particular flash drive is "certified."
There is to many, many USB flash drives that work with Windows 8. Some have argued that, if the USB flash drive as a 'removable' device, so it should work with the HP Recovery Media Creator. However, I recently discovered that one of flash USB 2 (team F108 64 G) drives that I is not set up as a 'removable device' when you open my ThisPc (myPC) and it works perfectly for me.

Windows Mail export messages to drive c: with folder names wrong and structure
I just tried to export all messages from Windows Mail on the PC hard disk and, while messages are grouped together correctly, their folder names appear to back a former name or took a completely different name.
Records do not export in the structure correct (folders and subfolders) so it is impossible to work on the file that goes where, as much as the export messages as a reference number only and not with the subject alpha (as happens when you drag and drop on the C drive in Windows Explorer manually).
Any ideas about how I cam get Windows Mail to export the current folder names, and also to preserve the existing structure?
Thank you very much, Temp.

The title pretty much everything said. I have an installer the ISO of Windows 7 Professional x 64. I am trying to create a bootable flash drive using these instructions:
http://www.OSNews.com/story/20795/Installing_Windows_7_on_the_Aspire_One_or_Any_Other_Netbook
I followed all the steps in the guide without problem. Windows Explorer shows the drive is NTFS. I can copy all other files of ISO on the FlashDrive without problem. Only, I can't copy this file. I tried to copy it to my hard drive rather than on the flash drive, and it still does not work.
I tried to create a file with the same name by using Notepad to see if there was a problem with the file name. I can copy this file on my hard drive flash drive, but I can't always copy the ISO file.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 edition and using a Corsair Flash Voyager 16 GB flash drive.
Help, please!

Re install windows 7 using a flash drive on a new hard drive
I have an acer aspire one NET accountant comes with windows 7 Home premium preloaded in it. But my hard drive crashed and does not connect when I start the computer. It shows the PXE M0F message. After some research, I discovered that I need to replace the hard drive. But my warranty is over and so I can't send it. I advanced and bought a new hard drive and decided to install it myself. But the problem is that I don't know how to install the operating system on the new hard drive. I was wondering if there is a way I can use the serial number on my cell phone to activate windows. And if I can't then where can I get an iso image to a flash drive boot?

Left Sode of the screen of Windows Mail are the names of files where the old emails can be stored. How to find the and then download them to a file separately on aflash drive as a back-up? They can be found using Windows Explorer or by using the regular 'real estate' research given to you by right-clicking on the name of the file in the Mail window.
Messages are stored in a hidden folder that you can locate it in Windows Explorer. To do this go to the control panel. Folder options | View and uncheck Hide extensions of known file types and also to verify the possibility to see the hidden files and folders. Then in Winmail opener you can go to tools | Options | Maintenance | Advanced | Store the folder to view the location of the message store. You can then navigate to that folder in Windows Explorer and slot that you will find a subdirectory "Local Folders" and by whom are all of your boxes to the letters and messages stored as eml files. You can copy this store of the entirety of the message, and then on an external drive to back it up. I believe you can also use file | Export | Messages in Winmail to save outside.
See also www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for more information about the registry settings and message store organization.

I need to post a tutorial for some training company corporate site only supports Microsoft Windows. I'll buy a MacBook in the coming weeks when I go to training and I wonder if there is a way to load windows on an external drive and launch it on my MacBook? I know you can use bootcamp, but I don't want to burn up that much of my Flash memory by placing it on the MacBook itself. I have a 1 to Seagate that I use on my iMac at home for Time Machine. Could just operate with Windows on it to visit the society tutorial with my MacBook?
Boot Camp will not allow that.
It is possible that one of the many emulators Windows for Mac can allow you to run with such a disk configuration.
