Local IP address

I want to put my local ip in the DMZ on my Linksys EA6350 so people will be able to access my files via a program called Soulseek could someone help me to do this

Allocation of IP address of your computer in DHCP of EA6350 reserves at all times:

Connectivity-online-online reservations-online Select DHCP LAN

Connectivity-online-online reservations DHCP LAN => add a DHCP reservation

Then connect on your EA6350 and enter that IP address in the section:

Security-online DMZ => on

Security => DMZ-online IP of Destination address

  • Am200 refuses a valid local (public) ip address (local ip address is not a valid address)

    Hi there, having some problems with my current ADSL line and planned on the secondary use of the am200 as a dsl modem to check if she behaves better under the adsl2 +.  But when I go to enter the desired local IP (94.30.x.x), subnet mask (255.255.255.248) turn off the dhcp server and click ok, I gives me the error 'local IP address is not a valid address' and unable to continue.  He of course will allow me to use private IP addresses, but this modem will not connect to my firewall/web server (i.e. 94.30.x.x + 1) I like the modem to be an imaginary ip address, but a real, routed.

    Before making a request for official support of linksys (now cisco), I thought I would check to see if someone has a possible solution.  I've just updated firmware for 1.19.02 and it still gives the same error.

    Thank you.

    Please delete this thread, using another firmware, I was able to select a real IP address.  I hope that linksys (cisco) will be realease an official firmware to solve this problem, but in the meantime, thanks for the work Geremia!

    See you soon

    Vodkaholic27, let me start with the layoff of vodka for a bit and then set Virtual Machine network card to bridged and then assign a static IP address that is appropriate for the guest as the physical LAN operating system is the host.  Then in the local physical network for static IP address router you assigned in the guest OS configure it to allow Port Forwarding on the appropriate port.  Then, you will be able to access from outside local physical host network.  If it's just on the other system on the physical LAN to the host that you want to access the guest you need not set up the Port Forwarding on the router on the local physical host network, simply use linked by a bridge to the network adapter in the Virtual Machine.  If you use NAT to the NIC of the Virtual Machine, then you need to set Port Forwarding in the virtual network Editor.

    Note: The virtual network Editor is not installed by default in Vmware Player 3.x and later versions.

    ==========

    To install the missing virtual network Editor, the command prompt:

    VMware-player-*.exe -e c:\vmptmp

    Then in the c:\vmptmp folder find the file c:\vmptmp\network.cab and extract (double-click on the .cab file) vmnetcfg.exe (virtual network editor) file in the working directory of VMware Player usually 'C:\Program VMware Player' or ' C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\VMware Player.  You can create a shortcut and place it with the shortcut of VMware Player, if you want to access it more easily.  Note: there are some for all the files to be extracted to then access the network.cab file.

    Hello

    I'm trying to activate a new device Onplus and I get the above error. I have factory reset the device, nothing helps. I can see the device got an IP via DHCP and can it ping. I can't seem to him via a web browser locally either.

    The device comes in the portal and also shows he discovered 2 routers. See the attached screenshots

    Can help?

    Thank you

    Hi Rene,

    I took a look in the logs on failsafe.imageboot.com for the attempts of 64:00:F1:21:18:BC and found a few. Looks all but one came me or our support people.  The other came from an assigned IP address of Telecom NZ.  I hope it's you!  I was able to trigger a transfer successfully, others transferred zero byte.  I suspect that these were attempts to test the browsers and have been interrupted.

    On this basis, the ON100 can't the internet for some reason any.  It seems that none of the attempts several thousands of the device has reached the server.  This also explains why you do not see the activation input, which depends on the ON100 showing its status to our activation service.

    So, we need to understand why the device is not able to access the internet.  It could be that he does not have a gateway or a DNS from DHCP sevrers or there is a filter on the outgoing path, or maybe bad material.

    As you have the IP address, you can get a computer configured the same way (via the same DHCP server, switch, etc.) and see if you can access the URL above?  It must return a file of 45,086,817 bytes.

  • move the local ip address to a different server (problem natting)

    Dear,

    I have a local database server with a local ip 192.168.101.3 and cisco ASA 5500, I use nat static as below:

    #static (Interior, exterior) xx.xx.xx.xx 192.168.101.3 netmask 255.255.255.255

    the server has been broken, and we moved the data to another server and give him the exact address of the intellectual property.

    Now we can ping the actual ip side.

    Help, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Asad,

    I've seen this problem before, hosts with the firewall or anti virus windows will not respond to any other host that is not on their Local network.

    Customer think usually it is a question of ASA, but as soon as we set up a NAT (OUTSIDE) 10 your_public_ip

    Global (inside) 10 interface;   We can see how it works because the server will now receive the packets of the SAA within the interface

    Anyway glad to hear it works fine.

    Please check the question as answered so future users can pull of this

  • [View 5.3] Connection to security through Blast Server redirected to the Local IP address private view Desktop in Google Chrome

    Hello

    I am currently facing a questions in my test harness which happens when I connect to public IP address on server security by the breath. No problem if I connect using view Client.

    Using the breath, I can log on, select a desktop view, then the url of the Web page showing my ip Server security for about 10 seconds and then I was redirected to the private IP address of NAT from the desktop view target and of course I couldn't connect.

    vd.png

    Note: The local private ip address redirection does not happens if I configured to connect to show the connection to the server through breath.

    I have:

    • Self-signed SSL installed without warnings
    • activated the tunnel to connect to the server
    • Tunneling on server security enabled
    • disabled all firewall for testing purposes
    • locally defined in the host file to resolve my domain name full of security server static IP used in my office. (vsecurity.icliq.com in this case)
    • required ports are configured with port forwarding in my router from office

    I hope someone could throw some light on this issue. Thank you

    Yes, the option of Blast Secure Gateway is used to ensure that Blast connections are routed from your browser by the server security (or connect to the server). That's what you want to access remotely. If you do not select this option, Blast connections will be direct to your virtual desktop. This is for internal connections.

    It goes the same for PCoIP and PCoIP Secure Gateway.

  • What is the link-local IPv6 address?

    It shows that after thte IPv6 address: fe80:f0a2f0c4:6892:bf3 11%

    There are two forms of protocols Internet (IP), (former) IPv4 and IPv6 (the more recent).  IPv6 was created because of the need for an expanded on the Internet addressing scheme.  IPv4 address approaching the limit on no. of the places that could be addressed in a unique way, so IPv6 was created to solve the problem.  It is not something you normally bother you on.

    I hope this helps.  Good luck.

    If a machine with several IP - addresses is it possible to get the list of IPs available with AIR 2.0? Finally I need to use one of them with my Socket connection.

    Hello

    For a list of IP address of a machine, you can use something like this:

    protected function listIpAddress (): void

    {

    ifaces var: Vector. = NetworkInfo.networkInfo.findInterfaces ();

    for each (var iface: NetworkInterface in ifaces)

    {

    var listInterfaces: Vector. = iface.addresses;

    for each (var interfaceAddress: InterfaceAddress to listInterfaces)

    {

    trace ("address:" + interfaceAddress.address);

    trace ("broadcast:" + interfaceAddress.broadcast);

    trace ("IP Version:" + interfaceAddress.ipVersion);

    }

    Hello..

    I have 3 RV320 routers, I try to connect by VPN all routers together, the problem is I have a server on a single router 192.168.1.200 and I need to connect the terminals to the other routers on the internet...

    any suggestion?

    Connect VPN tunnels between all 3 units.  Please keep in mind that subnets are different.  Get close to the tunnel.  Ping 192.168.1.200 at two remote sites to verify connectivity.  Try the terminals.

  • ASA 5510 VPN - using a public IP address for the local network

    Hello, I have a problem which is probably very simple, but I can't seem to understand.

    I set up a site IPsec connection to another with a company, something I've done many times before without a problem. I use ASDM to configure this, because it is quick and painless, usually.

    We have one number of other site-to-site currently configured connections and works very well on this ASA, these are configured with the "Protected network - LAN" configured with the IP private of hosts within our network, we want to make available through the separate tunnels. This includes the configuration setting on our ASA for each connection to "guests aside ASA exempt from NAT.

    With this new link, however, the company asked us to use a public IP address for the host that we want to achieve through the tunnel. I don't know why, but they demand it. So I added a NAT rule for inside the host and set up the connection with the public IP address under "Local network". During the test to try to reach a host to their side, the tunnel didn't even try to open.

    What is the method here? I don't see where I'm wrong. I'm guessing that the 'host side ASA exempt from NAT' does not require for this, how if the ASA would know which internal host is the public IP address.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Leo,

    The steps are:

    1. Add the policy rule NAT for the specific host.

    2 - define the IP NAT as your LOCAL NETWORK address in the encryption settings.

    3 make sure that there is no rule NAT exempt for this host to the specific destination.

    What happens if you run a package tracer?

    Thank you.

  • How to change the local IP on the virtual NETWORK adapter for Web server address

    Hi all

    I have a physical Windows system, on which I run VMware Workstation 9. Now on VMware I run Ubuntu 12.10 a LAMP for a Web server.
    Problem:
    Now, my local IP address for my NETWORK card virtual (using the Ubuntu one) at the address 192.168.159.7 and my router only emits the 10.0.0.x range IP addresses. So if I want to port forward to the virtual NETWORK adapter that has a 192.168 address, I can't, so my LAMP Web server are not accessible to the outside because the router does not send packets on port 80 to the virtual card... How to fix this?
    The only way I guess that is to be assigned an ip address of 10.0.0.x to the virtual NETWORK adapter?
    But how do I do this?
    I tried to do it on the host from the Windows machine with "get my IP address automatically", but she emits an 192.168 address every time...
    Thank you

    Welcome to the community,

    I guess that the virtual computer is currently configured to "NAT" or "Host-Only' networking! That would explain the 192.168.x.x IP address.

    There are 2 options to be able to access the web server on the virtual computer.

    1. with "NAT" network configured

    In this case forward port 80 to the IP address of the host and configure the port forwarding on the virtual computer in the "Virtual Network Editor. This way you can leave the IP address on the private network of 192 (if it is currently set to NAT)

    2. use "Bridged" network layout

    Reconfigure the virtual NETWORK adapter to the machine virtual networking "Bridged" within the parameters of the virtual machine, assign an IP address from your router network (10.x.x.x) and do the port forwarding on the router directly to the IP address of the virtual machine.

  • How can I easily count the number of contacts in my address book?

    Is there anyway to make the address book show the number of contacts?

    When I click on a folder, it shows all the contacts in the folder, but I can't see any display of the total number of contacts - if I want to know I have to laboriously count everyone!

    Thanks for the tips on this

    Here, if I select a local internal address book example of the PAB, it tells me in the status bar how many Contacts it contains.

    Maybe your status bar is disabled?

    In the address book, alt + v, view, toolbars, select Status bar.

    > NIC seems to work fine with whatever he chooses - but how MAC address can be change by itself?

    The physical MAC address is not editable, but there are a few ways to spoof the mac address
    For example, using Windows XP, the MAC address can be changed in the properties of the Ethernet adapter. On the Advanced tab, under "MAC address", "Locally administered address", "Ethernet address" or "network address". The name of this option depends on the Lan driver that is installed on your laptop. And important note; not all drivers are supported changing the MAC address of this way.

    In addition the system registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} contains some parameters of the network interface and the option called NetworkAddress will serve to set the MAC address.

    There are also tools that could spoof the address MAC for example, SMAC MAC Address Changer.
    Finally and above all some routers provide an option to change the MAC address.
