Location of HDMI port on a Touchsmart 600 computer

A cable company technician told one day we buy an HDMI cable to connect the PC and the receiver. See the HDMI port on the cable box, I do not see such a port on the PC. Does anyone know if an HDMI port exists on the Touchsmart 600 and if so, how do I access the port? Thank you.

Hello

No, it does not have HDMI port:

Many later models have HDMI ports, but they are IN ports.

Kind regards.

    Suzanne,

With the help of a video-to-USB device like the EVGA UV plus + 19 will not damage your computer or HDTV. The EVGA UV + 19 more is an active device and is not just a passive cable. To the best of my knowledge, there is no passive cable which will convert the USB ports in HDMI ports.

HP TouchSmart 600-1265qd does not connect to Samsung LED 55 '' TV via HDMI. I have connected the same cable to your laptop and it connects, suggesting that there is a problem with the CV. I made restarts it etc. also without success. Does anyone have a suggestion that I could follow.

    Hello

It is a machine CTO, but have many models of the Touchsmart 600 HIMI IN port series, not OUT port so you can't connect to a TV using HDMI in order to get the picture on the TV.

    Kind regards.

  • Could not get the HDMI port to work on the HP touchsmart.

I have a HP Touchsmart 600-1265 with an HDMI port. I have connected the computer to the TV but can not get any audio/video to display. I don't know if you need to activate the port or what you need to do to make it work.

When I push the A / V button above the HDMI port it shows the computer displays and below, it is then them a VGA and HDMI boxes but when I scroll down and select HDMI the screen just empties for a few seconds and then back on the computer screen.

What should I do to make this work?

Yes, the entry also. This is what the switch you mentioned.

    See you soon,.

  • Where is the hdmi port?

    I have a 1205it TouchSmart 600 c.

    It's the http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportDocument/c02575520/c02162360.jpg port

I do not open. The shooting, but nothing. How do I? I'm afraid to break

Oh, are you talking about the three USB ports that are under a cover on the left side of the system? Those who are always included. If you remove the cover, they will be there. There are also two USB ports to the bottom left of the system.

Ports of entry/output only option (I think) are those that are included in the game console - video display entries, including the HDMI interface.

May I ask if there is a certain task you're trying to do with your computer? If you let us know what you try to use the input/output ports, because we might be able to help more easily.

  • TouchSmart 520-1030uk: can I retro - fit a HDMI device to my Touchsmart 520-1030uk?

My Touchsmart is about 4 years old and my son wants to record gameplay off his Xbox 360. I saw product guides with a HDMI device under the CD drive on the right side of the PC.

There is a sign that looks like, it can come off, but there are connections on the inside to adapt to a HDMI device?

    Thanks in advance.

  • PC has seen TV opt w/no HDMI port. How connect us PC to TV HDMI ports?

I got rid of sattillite TV and now regret. Although we can watch television on PC seemingly impossible to connect PC to TV w / HDMI HDMI Cable w/no PC port. Confused: this License 1 old PC has an option 'View TV' with no option of connectivity between PC and TV.  The TV of old (7 years) has two! HDMI ports that must mean that the TV is more advanced than the HP PC?   Will be back the 15' HDMI Cable, flat ROKU box and antenna TV, relegated to watching TV while squnting to the monitor, the ear to the speakers who are not that great?  And all for the simple costs $ 2 per episode paid to amazon.com editors satallite $80 MB. is no longer an option.  any suggestions? PC is TS 420

I'm a little confused about why you need to connect the PC to the TV if you have a Roku. You must be able to use an HDMI cable to connect the Roku directly to the TV and connect Roku to the Internet via your WiFi router (or with an ethernet cable, if you have a Roku 3).

I personally don't have cable or satellite, either, I just use Netflix and Hulu Plus. My installation includes a Blu - Ray player that streams video (similar to Roku), connected to my TV with an HDMI cable. I also have a TV antenna for over-the-air channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, Fox), connected to the TV with a coaxial cable. My PC is not connected to everything; However, if I want, I can watch streaming video on my computer (using the same accounts that I use on my TV/Blu-Ray player). The only thing I can't do is to watch live TV on my PC.

I don't think there's a way to connect an external monitor to your TouchSmart. Depending on the exact model, it might come with a TV tuner that you could plug in box or antenna TNT, cable and satellite so that you can watch TV on your PC.

Y at - it something that I'm missing that requires the use of the PC as an intermediary?

  • HP TouchSmart 600 - 1070 has blocking of overheating?

    I am repairing a Touchsmart 600-1070a who suffered a fall from his office (damaged the on/off switch, but that is fixed), already replaced the HARD drive that had bad sectors.  There seems to be a lot of cumulative small hiccups, including;

    * sometimes not even bring to the top of the screen on powerup, remains black despite the fans running, power light.

I suspect that it is a matter of gfx module or connector problem, as I loosened and forced the GFX module in its unlocked connector and reinstall the graph LVDS lead and - apparently - to have solved the problem for now.

    * for execution, will crash intermittently Win7 and how the region of radiator for chipset is exceptionally hot (about 50' C) and it is with the metal plate still attached.

To do this, I don't know what approach to take.  There is a spacer between the heat sink for this chipset and the metal casing that is filled by a heat-carrier pad.  My suspicion is that the pressure of the arriere-stand against the metal actually requires chassis-pad-heatsink to stick, but I think now that the cushion is probably due to replace or another option sorted as things are just not too hot

Someone else had a similar problem?

The GPU and CPU radiators have all been cleaned with compressed air / brush and work correctly.

(photo showing the motherboard exposed without the metal support pregnant.  The radiator in question is orange, one located in the center of the motherboard near the memory.

I placed a layer of transfer thermal padding that is normally used between transistors/MOSFETS and sinks of heat, about 1 mm thick, on top of the orange radiator - seems to have now settled the system down, played a video DVD and YouTube full length at the same time without crashing.

    So now, we have chip|heatsink|transfer-padding|pale-transfer-thick-padding|metal-backing.

Active cooling a bit more would have been nice in the form of a fan from somewhere, but as long as it doesn't crash, I guess.   Metal case houses approximately 49' C around the location of the radiator.

  • HP Touchsmart 600-1105xt - PCI card

Hi - I am trying to add support for USB 3.0 to my TouchSmart 600-1105xt system and I found that there is 1 slot mini-PCI express. However I have not sure how to add to my system. Its different for a touchsmart since all are crammed into a small place and I don't know how to expose the PCi Card without breaking anything. Any help is appreciated.

    There is NO external ports,

you will have to completely disassemble the unit to join the mini-pci slot which normally has the TV tuner in it.

As I said, this is not repairable.

  • HDMI port defective by design?

Same problem here - I want to (Oh, man I need) to be able to use my HDMI port to make presentations on an external monitor.

I recently converted to the technosystem to Apple after being forced by the former employer to abandon in favor of Windows Apple more than 20 years ago.  I like how the iOS works (for the most part) and this terminal is for access to tools based on unix, but for something as simple as a faulty HDMI port - by office? -not what I expected to get my new Macbook Pro.  Laptop my wife 4 + years Windows has an HDMI port that works very well. But my new Macbook Pro?  Nada

This is not only annoying, but also effects me professionally. I need to be able to use some external displays of various flavours to present my services to potential customers.

Come on Apple, you can do better than that!

    (1) not talking about apple, it is a form of voluntary

    (2) iOS for smart devices, OS X for laptops, desktops, iMacs, Mini

    (3) you need a lightning to HDMI converter

  • New iMac using a HDMI port

I am looking to buy a new computer (preferably an iMac) and I want to connect to my apple TV up to it, but I can't understand what iMac Apple TV supports HDMI ports and those who did not. Please help me to find the most recent iMac that has a HDMI port taking supported the Apple TV. Thank you.

None of the new iMacs have HDMI ports, Thunderbolt ports, which can be converted into HDMI using an adapter. However, there is really nothing you can do by connecting an Apple TV to a Mac via HDMI.

Apple TV video outputs, and the ports on the Mac are also outputs, not inputs.

What exactly do you think that you can accomplish by doing that?

  • How can I get multi channel audio via the HDMI port on an early 2015 MacBook Pro?

I try to get the 7.1 audio channels to flow from my MacBook Pro to a cinema set up. The display works fine now I plug the HDMI in however the sound still Mac speakers. I checked the settings and no HDMI output is available. An airtime option is available, but that returns only two channels as a maximum to the receiver. When I go to the configuration of the source on the receiver it receives video at 1080 p 60herts however it is specifically stated No Audio from the Source.

Also, I have connected my iPhone 6 s more using an Apple through the same HDMI cable adapter and it works perfectly. We also use HDMI with our PS4 occasionally and it works perfectly, even with the 3D.

Thus, the MacBook Pro is early 2015 with an i5, the receiver is a Harmon Kardon AVR 2700 (we run 7.1 channels of this) and we are connecting via the HDMI port through a 50 ft HDMI before. The receiver sends the audio to a projector with 1080 p 60 hertz if it changes anything...

Also if it helps the receiver supports dts - hd master audio decoding, Dolby True HD/Digital Plus decoding, HDMI 1.4 (HDMI is compatible 2.0), as well as multi-channel input and PCM and linear PCM.

    I use a "Behringer UCA202' audio device I bought on amazon.com for only $29.

It works very well for the audio 5.1 or 7.2. Works connect optical toslink. Just plug it into a usb port on your Mac and a cable optical toslink to your AV receiver.

My Yahmaha 7.2 audio/video receiver is measuring process the digital signal in THX, DTS, Dolby digital Pro logic, a cinema, etc.
