Location of SPDIF port

I have a Dell Vostro 410 I have saved piles of trash of a COMPUTER company.  It has a Foxconn DG33A01 motherboard and I have a Nvidia 9800GT graphics card.  Problem is that to get audio on HDMI I need to connect a cable between the SPDIF port on the Board and a slot on the card and I can't find the port.  It seems as if diagrams detailed this card may be State secrets because I searched and cannot find these either.  If anyone knows where is the port, or maybe that the Council is not one that I would be recognizing that information.

Thank you

Hi Balding,

There is no on the Vostro 410 SPDIF port. You must add an audio aftermarket which provides this functionality.

    Hello

I'm in the market for a new computer because my old HP died and I really like the Dell Precision T3500. I would like to put one of my old graphics card in the new Precision T3500, a Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT because it has a HDMI port on it and I want to drive my television station. However, have sound out of the HDMI on the Geforce port, you must connect an SPDIF cable on the Geforce to the SPDIF port on the motherboard. Is my question, there a SPDIF port somewhere on the motherboard in a Precision T3500? I looked but I have never seen a list of anywhere. Thank you very much for the help!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for looking in the Precision T3500 computer next and we hope that you don't end up buying one!

That said, I must not be the bearer of some bad news that this system is not equipped with an SPDIF port on the motherboard. A possible solution would be to buy a sound card has a SPDIF connection and then connect the graphics card to that. Of course, it would take one of your PCI/PCI-Express slots.

I hope that answers your questions - if there is anything else, please let me know!

  • Do not allow any spdif port

HY, my problem with the Realtek HD Audio Manager is that: I can't find "yellow file" icon on the audio Manager realtek hd, I can't have the posibility to get the coaxial spdif jack signal, the spdif cable is not detected, I did update from realtek to the version 2.71.Something new official site happened during the instalation I think , because in the parameters of the tab Manager is apear in low to the left rather realtek logo asus logo. I have an ASUS P5LD2-X/1333 MB, I using Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, façade is HD audio, front and the input jack rear panel is detected. All work fine just spdif is the problem. I hope you can help me and thank you in advance. If someone can show me how to enable the registry key spdif port, I would be grateful.

    Hello

According to the Features of Asusmotherboard has a S/PDIF output on the rear panel. And reading your description of the issue, it seems to be a problem in the way that you configured the audio driver in the computer rather than a registry problem. Probably the most recent driver that you have downloaded is not configured correctly.

So that you know the correct configuration of your sound driver, at this stage, it will be best to contact the manufacturer of your motherboard support team. They will be able to tell you how you can configure your pilot program to make the output S/PDIF port work for you. I provided the Asus Support link below, please use it to get in touch with them in order to unravel the audio configurations:

I hope that this information helps you to get appropriate help for this issue at the earliest. Let us know if you still have problems with Windows, we are happy to be of assistance.

  • Where are located the USB ports?

I think to buy the G60-216EM, but I was just wondering where the USB ports are located, because there is no 360 degree view of the laptop.

    Thank you

There are 2 USB ports on the right side of the laptop and 1 USB port on the left side.

    I hope this helps.

    Pete

    BTW...

At the top of this page, you will find a search. Enter the number of the model of the computer and press to enter. This will take you to the support page where you can download the manuals for the laptop you want. You can read and get a pretty good handle on where everything is.

  • High speed USB 2.0 physical location of the port

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3122us Notebook PC. I get messages when the transfer of files on the fastest "high speed USB 2.0 port.  My user manual tells me that I have three ports, of which one is a 2.0 port but I am unable to say which is the 2.0 port. Can anyone help me find information on the location and identification of the usb ports?

    James Worthen Sr

I just got offline with a HP tech rep and he told me that the high-speed 2.0 port was, in fact, the eSATA/USB port.

With this port, it gives me four ports and I wouldn't imagine that it was even a USB port, as it seems slightly different rather than the usual USB ports. I pluged my Bluetooth adapter in this port and it works fine. I have not tried to transfer files with this port again, except the photos with the bluetooth, but when I do I will seek to see if I still get the same message while transferring. I doubt I would. I believe that this issue has been resolved and I will mark it as my. Thanks to all who responded.

  • Stereo Mix does not exist? and SPDIF port does not exist?

Well, as shown in the topic, I have two major questions. On the one hand, on all my computers forever, I had a stereo mix on this subject. (An Inspiron 1721) does not, there just the pickups on the lid and the entry on the site. Where the hell is the mix stereo/mono and other devices which are USUALLY there on the other compuers (including my old Dell Inspiron 6000). In addition, my computer claims to have a port of SPDIF output on it, and turned on, but... I don't see one ANYWHERE on the body of this computer and it's terribly confusing. Any help is appreciated... Thank you

In the Device Manager on my laptop HP HP G60-100 series, it confirms that I have an enhanced USB port.  Can someone please tell me which of the three ports is the fast USB port?  I have to save a lot of information from my phone & it takes too much time.  Difficult to test each port as I am in the middle of a long transfer.

It is not in the product manual, ports are listed as USB ports.

    Hello

I think that the enhanced USB port is that which is directly soldered to the motherboard and, most likely, on the left side of the laptop where the ports HDMI, VGA or eSATA. The other side ports are connected to the motherboard by a cable and probably use another USB controller.

  • Satellite Pro L300-165 - SPDIF can be activated?

Got to start laptop. The A300 series has SPDIF via the headphone jack. Two models (A300 and L300) must use the same sound chipset, I think.
But Realtek settings have no SPDIF parameter at all.
Is it possible to activate SPDIF on my laptop? Or it is disabled by the physical layer?

I believe that the SPDIF port is not included in this model, so the SPDIF feature is disabled.

The brochure says that it has a headphone jack.

  • Re: Satellite P300-135: No. SPDIF in 'His' Panel after the installation of SP1

Before this one had speakers, HDMI and SPDIF.
Now - only speakers and HDMI.

After all the works of S/PDIF through speakers device, but only in stereo mode.
    I need 5.1 DD!

Could be another reason for that?

    Hello

The SPDIF port is certainly available on this laptop.
I remember that some devices can be hidden, if they are not enabled.

So maybe you can do a right click in the Panel-> Sound and could mark called options hidden devices and features see the disabled.

    Then the SPDIF should reappear.

    Check it!

  • Get information about the physical location (serial) Visa (slot) in PXI time real (Pharlab)

    Hello

I PXI system with controller time real (OS Pharlab) and many maps series (about 6 cards).

The maps in the series are two different models, which each contain several (8431/8 and 8421/8) serial ports.

And the COM Port enumeration mix and I would like to know the link between COM numbering where it is linked.

I have already dealt with a few methods:

    1. I've tried using the node property of Visa but he cannot know which card port COM belong

    2. I tried to use the Configuration Library system and don't manage to get general information of the card and not what ports have this card.

3 try to fill you with the VisaConf.ini, but discovers that ASRL and COM Auto-enumeration is the same.

    4. I tried to look in NISerial.ini, NISerial.dbs and NOR - RT.ini and did not find any help here.

Application engineer or support suggest to look in the registry of the operating system Pharlab because it is windows based and material information must be stored in the registry

Further explanation on the problem of PXI enumeration:

PXI produce enumeration auto for the ports series (COM3, COM4, COM5...) according to the card slot, but when there is a mix of the two models of the system would then list a model (8431) from 3 to 50 (6 cards and 8 ports) and the other model (8421) 51 to 98. so if I have 8421 in 2 and 8431 slot number in the slot number 3 it would list 2nd slot COM59 to COM68 and 3rd slot COM11 to COM19.

Why not just use NOR-MAX to manually configure the ports?

The system is essential and can not be stopped for a long time and he operated by people who are not very technical, so the customer who wishes to be able to exchange business cards without futher configuration.

  • SG500 showing the same MAC address on more than one port?

My ISP has been help me solve a problem that we had with an interaction between our SG500 battery on HP customer premises equipment.

I have the stack of SG500 divided into two VIRTUAL LANs. 8-port VLAN11 and the rest on VLAN1. Both are of VLAN native, not marked so they will carry only the traffic for their own VLAN with no mixing. I also route between these VLANs on the stack.

    VLAN11 switch ip: 10.76.20.20

    IP switch VLAN1: 10.1.1.1

I took a port for each VLAN and plugged into the HP PSI switch, where he adapt VLANS separated which then connect to a remote data center through an MPLS.

Here's the question: the SG500 seems to have mac address base on two HP PSI switch ports. This disrupts the HP switch, and I end up having packets to fall into a black hole. This is the output of the switch from HP showing mac based battery SG500 goods between ports in seconds:

HP # display the address mac 8843e1-af7085

    Status and counters - Address-Table - 8843e1-af7085

    MAC address: 8843e1-af7085

    Located on the Port: 15

HP # display the address mac 8843e1-af7085

    Status and counters - Address-Table - 8843e1-af7085

    MAC address: 8843e1-af7085
    Located on the Port: 11

Any idea what's going on here? It's as if the SG500 uses the MAC even for both its IP addresses.

    Thank you!

Hi Dani, the only MAC address announced by SX300/500 series should be the Mac system if you show on the SX500 mac address table, you should see the MAC even for both VLAN. I don't know why, is to confuse the HP switch unless it does not correctly between switches vlan tag.

  • Errors of run Switchport Port-Security

So I'm a bit new to switchport security.  I work on most of the ports in one location.  Its ports where I either switchport voice and switchport access VLAN or just switchport voice VLAN.  For some reason, these types of ports going into err - disable.  Here are a few examples.  Indications as to why it would stop even when I have the right MAC address would be very useful. Interface Fa0/3 has a phone attached to it and a connected computer the phone is off.

    interface FastEthernet0/2

    2 34a8.4ea6.0f95 DYNAMICS Fa0/2

The newspaper says this whenever I turn on port security.  Any other port where there is only 1 VLAN or 1 device, it works fine no problem.

27 June 2015 23:59:56: % PORT_SECURITY-2-PSECURE_VIOLATION: security breach took place, caused by MAC address 34a8.4ea6.0f95 on port FastEthernet0/2.

I know I'm missing something because I am new to using switchport security.  I am wanting to lock the ports to prevent devices not allowed to plug in on my network.  I have disabled all DHCP, but I want to take a little further and prevent them to enter the network even and probe the network.

EDIT - You forgot to mention that it is a 2960 version 15.0 (2) SE5

    Thank you

    David

    David, Kevin,

    Let me join you.

The way I see the Fa0/2 work with its original configuration is:

    • The maximum number of secure MAC addresses is 1.
    • Access to the VIRTUAL LAN is 1, the voice VLAN is 2.
    • The static safe MAC address 34a8.4ea6.0f95 is added to the access VLAN, not to the voice VLAN
    • When the phone starts to make known by the voice VLAN, MAC address cannot be dynamically added to the list because the maximum allowed number of MAC secure is 1 and the list is already full. The fact that its MAC address is configured statically is irrelevant, because it is not associated with the voice VLAN.

    Try to delete the line

    switchport port-security-address mac 34a8.4ea6.0f95

    and replace with

voice of vlan switchport port-security-address mac 34a8.4ea6.0f95

and see if it solves the problem.

    Best regards
