Dell Precision T3500 and SPDIF Port

Hello

I'm in the market for a new computer because my old HP died and I really like the Dell Precision T3500. I would like to put one of my old graphics card in the new Precision T3500, a Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT because it has a HDMI port on it and I want to drive my television station. However, have sound out of the HDMI on the Geforce port, you must connect an SPDIF cable on the Geforce to the SPDIF port on the motherboard. Is my question, there a SPDIF port somewhere on the motherboard in a Precision T3500? I looked but I have never seen a list of anywhere. Thank you very much for the help!

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for looking in the Precision T3500 computer next and we hope that you don't end up buying one!

That said, I must not be the bearer of some bad news that this system is not equipped with an SPDIF port on the motherboard. A possible solution would be to buy a sound card has a SPDIF connection and then connect the graphics card to that. Of course, it would take one of your PCI/PCI-Express slots.

I hope that answers your questions - if there is anything else, please let me know!

My Dell Precision T3500 work not at all,

And nothing happens on the screen

And I have this error (3-4) on the front of my case code
in the user manual, this represents a failure of memory

    but I checked all components
    RAM-power - GPU - CPU
It's all the worknig on my other computer Dell Precision

    I need help :(!

If the memory is good, and the processor is good, after having tested on another machine, your motherboard needs to be replaced.  Part of the problem may be the processor slot or maybe it's the memory slot (because the first location NEEDS to be filled, it does not matter if the first location is only bad or if they all failed at the same time - if one does not work, no one else can be used)... whatever it is, the only difficulty you a new motherboard.

If you cannot start your system, you can't Flash your BIOS.

One last thing, you might try... Remove ALL (readers, cards, extension, mouse, keyboard, etc) the system except for the processor and a barrette of memory in the first place.

Try another "last" thing... clear BIOS/memory NVRAM.  If there are no jumpers on the motherboard, and then disconnect the system, remove the battery, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, replace the battery, plug in and turn on.

  • Dell Precision T3500 speaker internal

    Hello

I just installed an internal speaker in my Dell Precision T3500.  How to configure a Windows 10 system use this speaker?  The internal speaker made reference to the T3500 product documentation, but I have found no documentation on how to make it work.  I guess it's a cheap business speaker, so I know that the quality is not great.  I hope just to a few basic out of it sounds.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob

Until you install the OEM driver, it will not work. The oem driver install the ESP AUDIO Panel that "recognizes" the speaker.  The generic Microsoft driver does not support the internal speaker of business.

AD198X and ANALOG Soundmax AUDIO must have AUDIO ESP to detect the speaker.

ESP AUDIO Control Panel Soundmax Applet which 'sees' the speakers and the headphones etc plugged into the audio codec or NOT.

The problem is that by default, windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 10 will use a generic HD Audio driver and therefore things like the internal affairs speaker will not work and soundmax Audio ESP does not exist.

The solution is to install the Dell driver and let windows update to decide if the driver needs to update whql.

It is a common problem.   The function Audio ESP asking you what is attached to the port is not enabled in generic win7, win8, pilot win10.  You will also need to install DOTNET 4.0 and Directx June 2010

Before installing this driver.  You must also add the feature back for legacy Live Show on Control Panel.  If you do all the right things in the right order, it will work.  Control Panel, all the elements of the Control Panel, programs and features, windows features, turning on and outside

Then do the check boxes.  You MUST BE online when you do this, because he lament not find features and who need to download them from windows update.

  • Dell Precision 390 and Windows 7 64 bit driver support

We have a Dell Precision 390 and want to pass this to a Windows 7 64-bit operating system.  Several months ago, I noticed driver support for Windows 7 64-bit for the Dell Precision 390 model but pilot at the moment the site and downloads not support all these drivers for Windows 7.  It seems that the support has been removed.  At best, it supports only Windows Vista 64-bit.  Can someone explain why there is no support driver for Dell Precision 390 for the 64-bit Windows 7 platform?

    Tony

I have a Dell Precision 390 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit loaded just fine and it is running.

It is strongly suggested that you do a clean install.

So I wiped my HD (after backing up personal files). Don't come to format your drive, I mean totally wipe it.

Automatic updates will install the drivers you need for any connected device or visit the manufacturers for your drivers.

So in short, "Don't sweat it".

Go ahead and download this puppy goes for a few years.

  • Stereo Mix does not exist? and SPDIF port does not exist?

Well, as shown in the topic, I have two major questions. On the one hand, on all my computers forever, I had a stereo mix on this subject. (An Inspiron 1721) does not, there just the pickups on the lid and the entry on the site. Where the hell is the mix stereo/mono and other devices which are USUALLY there on the other compuers (including my old Dell Inspiron 6000). In addition, my computer claims to have a port of SPDIF output on it, and turned on, but... I don't see one ANYWHERE on the body of this computer and it's terribly confusing. Any help is appreciated... Thank you

  • Dell Precision T3500 does not start

I have Dell T3500 Office, I pressed the Start button and the lamp on the Start button began to blink for a few seconds with a noise of power supply (SMPS/PSU) and 1 and 3 flashing and lights out. During this time I have observed that the power supply fan GET making small movements but does not turn the LED on the motherboard (orange) lights. I tried to start again and again, it does not work.

Is this because the PSU become defective? or simply a RAM issue? I removed the RAM cleaned and then re inserted but it went past too to no avail. Can someone help me please to solve this?

  • Dell Precision m6600 and Windows 10

Y at - there no confirmation of anyone who Windows 10 works on Precision Mobile Workstation M6600?

There is no drivers for Windows 8.1 and I never managed to make it work properly with Windows 8.1. VMWare Workstation would crash, blue screens, etc. This is because there is no drivers for this model of Dell for Windows 8.1 released.    But will it be the same story with Windows 10?

I can confirm that Windows 10 works on the M6600. I just upgraded my M6600 and Windows 10 in fact improved some drivers and improved my way of computer work.

From the moment I bought my Logitech H800 headset, I couldn't match directly with the laptop through Bluetooth. The USB receiver was still necessary. As soon as I have upgraded to Windows 10 my H800 has been recognized and immediately connected!

There are two small problems that scared me at first. WIFI or Bluetooth worked immediately after the upgrade to Windows 10. I don't know why this happened but I am simply gone network adapters and disabled, then reactivated each of them. After reactivated the WIFI started working with Bluetooth

  • We have a laptop of Dell Precision 3510 and no matter what has been done, we could not install an o/s of DVD or USB.

Hello, we have a computer dell laptop 3510 that no matter what we tried, we were able to install the Windows 7 64-bit enterprise edition. I have worked with Dell on this same they couldn't get it to work., we are past the UEFI BIOS for Legacy and had the right to RAMA and there was the third thing that I have a hard time recalling, I think it's boot on CD, and the setting has been set successfully. We spent hours trying to do or not this result. I tried the DVD and USB, at one point, it looked as if he was going to install the o/s, but we got a box that came to ask us to search for the drivers, I could see the "C" drive and the 'X'

He asked to load the driver, but no matter what we tried, it didn't work. Here I could get. I even ran the F6 drivers utility, and it was still a no-go.

I had to try it with another PC, but when I went from UEFI for legacy it was as if he had no BONES at all and I had to switch back.

There is no way that this was done to distance - it requires too much manual intervention.  I suggest you start by following the process above (or use the image below the link, but it's not going to be 7 Enterprise, but Pro).

  • Workstation Dell Precision 490 and Sapphire HD6870?

I'm looking to run a Sapphire ATI HD6870 1 GB graphics card in my workstation 490.

I make any changes to make it work correctly? (A new power supply or whatever it is?).

I'm a Workstation 490 for fairly cheap from a friend and want to make a model of 'light' game and seeks to get this video card...

    Thank you!

P.s. If it works can not anyone suggest some decent modern maps which may be able to support the game? (My current computer gets 5-6 FPS in SWtOr, I try to do a lot better)

It should work fine.  It would seem that you have a 750 Watt power supply that is more than enough.  Just make sure you have two PCIe 6-pin power cable for the card.  I have a Sapphire HD 6870 myself and I love it.

  • Dell Precision M4700 (Windows 7 pro) starts not once configured with UEFI and Secure Boot

To all those who can help you:

I got a Dell Precision M4700 and I update bios A05. I was intending to move to Windows 8. Everything was fine and the bios update was successful. I started the new bios under Windows 7 Professional (base OS) factory-installed and was very good.

However, I can't get into the bios (not even see the POST from Dell or Logo) after I activate the UEFI and Secure Boot. This before I update to Windows 8 Pro. Now I'm stuck with a blank screen (same LCD not lit) and nothing to start. It's like a dead PC.

Help, please. Is that what I can do or should I contact Dell Support for repair?

    Thank you

I fixed it!  Just removed the CMOS battery, the BIOS got reset back to factory default.  So I did:

    (1) remove the battery

    (2) press the power button to the case of ground

    (3) remove the lower panel

    (4) disconnect the CMOS battery (it's tedious)

    (5) I hit the power button for some time (30 s) to clear the capacitors or something else, it was my theory, but I doubt it's necessary

    (6) use it to all back to the start

When I turned it on it turns on and turns off several times before finally stay standing and I was then able to enter the BIOS and all the settings have been restored to factory default.  I am new to Windows 7 on my machine so I'll repeat the process, this time without disabling the legacy option roms!

  • Dell Precision 690 workstation several hard drives

I have a Dell Precision 690 and I am trying to connect the hard drives in the right order. The documentation says they must go into the HARD drive marked locations on the motherboard, but they do not work. The only slots that work are the SATA slots. I tested five SATA drives but I can only get three to work on three SATA slots instead of four locations of HARD drive and slot extra SATA as the book said to do.

I tried which helps the controller under the BIOS: has no significance if it is enabled or disabled. I determined that AHCI is unable to be activated, it must be ATA.

In the end, I need to have five total drives. Four in the slots in the HARD drive and the other in the SATA slot. (Which will be for operating system 1 SATA and SAS RAID 4). I realize that the HDD_0, 1, 2, 3 locations are to use SAS/SATA but I can't take too much work.

In addition, I don't ' know if this is important or not, but he has Windows XP Professional x 64. BIOS A05 and I know an update is A08, I did do that yet though.

Anywhere I can find that material assistance would be much appreciated.

    -E.Avalon (help).

Yes, there are three ports labeled SATA (0,1,2) and four ports labeled as HARD drive (0,1,2,3). The manual says to connect hard drives in HARD drive ports, then in the SATA ports. The first two SATA ports are for additional optical drives and the last port is used for a fifth hard drive.

I got in touch with several people in technical assistance from Dell and eventually find the right driver to install.

Because I don't have the OEM disc that came with the computer, I was doing a new installation of a Windows disc. I needed F6 (third party drivers) to activate the HARD disk ports until the installation has taken place. (And honestly I don't remember what the file was immediately.)

The AHCI could not be activated because the discs I have are Serial ATA disks and in the BIOS, there is a choice between ATA and AHCI.

The problem is solved and I feel like I could do a test on this computer and become a technician for her.

  • Precision T3500 recognizes the new HARD drive

I have a new 4 TB Seagate hard drive that I'm tempted to install than the third HDD on my Dell Precision T3500 system. The BIOS detects the drive fine, but nothing in the operating system (Windows 7 64-bit) find it - no disk, Device Manager or Seagate diagnostic tools management.

Seagate support said the only thing that might be, is that my fast storage Chipset driver needs to be updated. It's a little out of my depth. I tried searching for a driver updated via the Device Manager, but it says my driver is up to date, but that date is 2010. I downloaded these files:

    INTEL_RAPID-STORAGE-TECHNOLO_A07_R291721. EXE

    SATA_DRVR_WIN_R264763. EXE

on the site of driver from Dell, but I'm not clear what to do with them.

SATA Operation should be AHCI and INTEL RST must be 10.1 or higher.  OS must be the 64-bit version, you also need a series of Host Bus Adapter as the Rocket 600.  That's what western Digital uses to resolve these problems.  ACHI HBA is necessary.  The rocket 620 HBA is a solution.

What happens if I try to use an older version of the driver?

If you try to install the operating system on a disk 512th with an older Intel® RST 9.6 version driver, the installation process could not complete.  This driver is not validated with your XPS and may not work at all. There is ZERO support for it if its does not work.  The INSTALLATION of THIS DRIVER if its does not work can lead to the loss of 100 percent of all data.  Do so at your own RISK.  Installing a version higher than taken chipset support does the same thing.  All data lost RAID restart from zero.

64 bit OS is required for readers more 2 TB

INTEL RST over the 10.1 version is required for larger than 2 TB drives

    http://knowledge.Seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/218615en

Like other types of software, the Intel RST drivers are updated to keep pace with new technologies. Intel drivers, found in versions of the retail of Windows 7 have a limit of 2.2 TB. Rather than cutting capacity to 2.2 TB, the limitation is expressed like the rest above 2.2 to. In other words, the driver causes the windows operating to see a 3 TB drive 746.52 GiB (or 800 GB).

With OS two 32-bit, the start address of length and partition partition are stored as 32-bit quantities.
Because the block size is 512 bytes, this means that neither the maximum size of a partition
Neither the maximum start address (both in bytes) can be greater than 2 ^ 32 × 512 bytes, or 2 TiB

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/hardware/gg463525.aspx

The GUID (GPT) Partition Table has been introduced under the initiative of the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI). The maximum size of the partition (disc) is a function of the operating system version. The original version of Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP have a limit of 2 TB per physical disk, including all partitions. For Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows XP x 64 edition and later versions, the maximum raw score of 18 exabytes may be supported. (Windows file systems are currently limited to 256 terabytes each.)

  • Dell Precision 5510 - M2 SATA SSD

    Hello

    I recently bought a Dell Precision 5510 and I now intend to install a 500 GB SSD (M2), or a Samsung 500 GB 850 EVO m2 and a critical CT500MX200SSD4.

Does anyone know if one of these two SSD is compatible or have any problems with this laptop?

    Thank you

    J.

Thanks for posting your request here.

These two device should work without any problems after the upgrade.

  • Dell Precision M3800 does not illuminate

I ordered a Dell Precision M3800 and as soon as I got it out of the box, he had immediately problems start. The button lights, the lights on the keyboard would turn on for a few seconds, then everything would be closed. It worked once in a while if I removed the power supply cord or if I tried different combinations of remove/insert the power cable and press the button. I took it into the shop and they replaced the motherboard and now it lights up at all. The assistance service said he turned on to them, but it turned on once for me after pressing the button + 20 times, but never turned back after that.

I asked a replacement computer, but in the meantime, does anyone have any idea what the problem might be or how I can turn to recover my files.

I got my M380 for about 8 months and this week started having the same problem. I found that remove my Logitech usb keyboard/mouse dongle wireless enabled at startup. Its got the last 2 days and both times I could do nothing to start. Both times I removed the USB dongle has started the next test. It's frustrating.

  • Dell Precision 390 doesn't start with Bios pin in Place

I recently acquired my nieces computer Dell Precision 390 and was trying to upgrade to Windows 7. When I opened upward, I noticed that the pin of the Bios was only placed on one of the pins instead of two of them as shown in the maintenance manual.

After the replacement of the Bios pin on the appropriate setting, the computer will not start and has no effect when you press the Start button.

I replaced the pin of the Bios to the place where I found it originally, and the end started computer. What gives here? Why didn't he start if I place the PIN Bios exactly where it is supposed to be?

Does anyone have answers or suggestions? Thank you!

    His work EXACTLY as designed.

    Clear CMOS/NVRAM memory; 390

    By rider:

The computer must be disconnected from the power outlet to clear the CMOS setting.

Remove the cover from the computer.
Locate the RTCRST jumper on the system board.
Remove the CAP from the single-axis and onto the two pins and wait 3-5 seconds.
Replace the cap on the single PIN.
    Replace the computer cover.
Plug the computer and peripherals to their electrical outlets and turn them on.
