lock sim of warranty Exchange

I got my iPhone unlocked from T-Mobile s 6 to the apple store to fix the water damage.  I was given an identical replacement phone.

This replacement phone is unlocked?  How do I know for sure?

It should be unblocked, unless the Apple store made a mistake (it happens). Call Apple and they can check it, or return it to the store. Or borrow a non-T-Mobile SIM card and see if it works.

Hello, I recently bought a blackberry Z10 and was always warned by the led light flashes when the battery is low.  now all of a sudden when it gets to about 20% of the battery I am busy on the phone, it will say STOP DEVICE and I havve hurt him get.  and when I eventually get it ongoing, I see under BLACKBERRY HUB a messsage saying SIM CARD LOCKED.  Why this happens, and what is the cause.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you very much

    Cathy

To do this, leave your device connected to load to a wall charger.

After an hour or two, leave it connected to the charger, remove the battery for a minute and reinsert to restart.

That should reset the software battery meter 'on device', which appears at odds with the actual load of the battery, causing your stop at 20%.

Locked SIM card: I've never seen this message in the hub. You will need to enter in any four-digit PIN at boot?

  • T61 + locked HDD for warranty repair

    Hello Forum,

My T61 (less than one year) suddenly stopped posting and loading windows. LEDs, fan will pass on, two beeps, but no out put on-screen. Tried an external monitor, air cleaned the openings of ventilation and heatsink without result.

If the machine has been sent for repair under warranty.

    Question;

    1. I have improved the original HDD with a WD 500 GB HDD, does it affect the limited three-year warranty?
    2. I removed that drive and replaced the original 120 GB of HARD drive before you send him off of the laptop, I had put a HARD drive on the laptop locking and so can't access the data on the WD HARD drives on the desktop / HDD enclosure. I presume that attaching this drive to a another PC would simply give me a password and I then enter the password and access my data, does not. This gave me a few scary chills; If a major component such as the chip of the card mother/security or the portable integer is replaced, the laptop will be able to recognize that it locked HDD and prompt for the password? I have no recent backup and it has reminded me (again) to save before leaving home, backup when you get home, and then perform another backup while you sleep!

Advice or guidance to this mental torture will be highly appreciated.

In Australia, you can tell them the password and they will remove it for you. If you could call Lenovo and tell them to put a note here regarding the password, if the filing of the application for Lenovo, this information may be transmitted to technicians so they need.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Z10 MEP0 - locked Sim Card

    Hi all

I have a very simple problem, but it doesn't seem to be documented

I have a Blackberry Z10 with my french carrier Orange

I've received from them a network unlock code (an official)

I tried this code 10 times and now my camera works fine, but refuse to unlock the network

I introduce the original SIM card, but it will not unlock the net work. I can't use my phone, even with my Orange SIM card

"One or more of your network codes are blocked. This preveting your device to use the Mobile network. Please contact your service provider.

When I contact my service provider "Orange EN" they do not understand and ask me to contact Blackberry "

    What can I do?

After ten attempts have been used, you only a few choice to unlock the device.

There are three ways and only three, to achieve this goal.

    * Purchase a MEP code MEP unlocking unlock Internet provider. Be wise and be sure to buy one with a good reputation and good reviews and comments.

    * IF your unit is under warranty, contact your technical support service provider. Tell them that you have this problem that needs to be remounted at the RIM customer service level. I'll warn that most of the technical support people carrier assume first and think that you are talking about security of the release device, and you have to convince them of the contrary and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device that had the code MEP attempts exhaustion and should (and you have to ask) to have the case escalated to a medium technical level RIM.
    * If your camera is out of warranty, contact directly the RIM. See the information to reach us from the Web site: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ the options that you want to select to talk to the BlackBerry customer service are 3 (for requests of information, orders, billing, e - RMA etc.) then 5 (e - RMA and warranty).

    Make sense? Good luck.

  • Exchange (EAS) Screen Lock Timeout - fixed in 1.4?

I was really looking forward to getting a fix to that described in the changelog: 'screen lock now supports any time-out interval assigned by the Exchange Company system administrator'.

However, he seems to have no effect for me. It gives that option "Lock after: screen turns Off" whatever the server timeout settings.

I've even removed the Exchange account, set it to 30 minutes and the re-added the account. He immediately went to the screen lock immediately. The Exchange administrator has set for 30 minutes.

All confirm that your settings are something other than immediately when this policy is applied by Exchange?

Edited to add: I'm having the Exchange administrator check and reapply the settings of my soon.

    Thank you thepoeta15.  Problem solved.

The Exchange administrator made an another update of my policy settings and after that he pushed to my phone it has fixed this problem.  I now have the lock settings ranging from 30 seconds up to 30 minutes.

Sorry for the false alarm.  I am happy than Palm corrected this in point 1.4.

  • New SIM card new iPad mini 4 offer only AT & T refurb apple

I bought an iPad mini 4 on the Apple refurb store. It came with no SIM card. I went to my local apple retail store, and you have a card SIM Apple (after assisted by about 3 people; they seemed barely even know what I was talking about). I put the card and went data cell in the settings. Under "Choose a date plan" is the only option (already checked) "AT & T - A & T - Postpaid" and under that in the fine print, it says "SIM expired." If I tap on "Add a new plan", the only option for the carrier that appears is AT & T. After reading all about the flexibility of the Apple SIM card, I am very frustrated that it does not work as advertised. I've heard talk about AT & T lock SIM card after you choose, but I never had the chance to make the choice.

    PS. a reboot didn't help.

    Hello there npydyuan!

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support and congratulations on your new iPad mini 4.  I have the same model with cellular and I love being able to use everywhere and always have the data available to me.  I'm here to help you today.

This iPad comes with the same 1 year warranty and 14 day return policy, as would a brand new iPad mini 4.  Even if the iPad is refurbished, it should always be open and available for use on any carrier that supports the equipment.  Please contact the Apple Store Support by phone 1-800-MY-APPLE or if you prefer, you can discuss them here: Shopping help, scrolling down and clicking on the Chat now.

Best wishes and I know once your iPad mini 4 is sorted on you will enjoy it as much as I do mine!

  • Passport blackBerry problem: Sim Card not detected after several days, reboot needed.

    Hello

As the title suggests, every other day or two my passport tells me that it cannot detect the Sim Card. If I restart the device, the problem is solved but only for another day or two. I've never had any problem with this card before so I suspect it has something to do with the device. Is anyone know about this problem?

    Kind regards

    Willem

Here's what I'd do. The next time it happens, power down and remove the SIM card. Reinsert the SIM card and make sure it is fully inserted. Then to test and see if the error occurs again anytime soon.

I have not had this happen with my passport yet, but I experienced it here and there in the past. Unless the SIM works actually, the removal and reinstallation of the SIM card corrected the problem. Also, I experienced a failure of the SIM card, and it's all or nothing. Perhaps failure of the SIM card can be intermittent, but I doubt it.

If you get the error again, talk to your operator. They could suggest to try a new SIM card. At least this excludes from the SIM card and tap the device if you get the same problem with a new SIM card.

Alternatively, you can reinstall the operating system as a troubleshooting step. Yes, you shouldn't do this, but it is set on a software problem.

If you want to be as certain as you can know if the device is defective, it is my opinion on what to do. Otherwise, you can go ahead and request a warranty Exchange. I try and avoid that, personally and at least to eliminate other possibilities first.

  • SIM card disabled... Need to unlock Code - or do I need a new SIM card?

Hi - I was a fool to check my phone late into the night Friday and checked settings-> location & security and went down all the way to lock SIM card. My phone is running the last updated Android for this model of Motorola MB300 BackFlip MotoBlur, I guess it's Android 2.1?

I went to the where it says set up SIM card lock.

I went to the where it says card SIM Lock (require PIN using the phone) and he asked for a PIN and I entered my own PIN and then I thought asked that my re - enter to confirm the new PIN code and then it was locked. I couldn't turn the lock, and I got on the screen when he timed out where he said I had the possibility of a PUK code. I don't know what it was, but I entered my code I thought that I did, and then he asked for me to create a new code, which I did, and then he asked me to re - enter the code to confirm. I did, and every time it says INVALID CODE ENTRY or something. So I tried other things. I tried to guess what the PUK code. I sent my parents at this stage because he said I could get the PUK code in caller Service customer. But I do not have to restart my phone and dial a number. I tried to keep guessing. Finally, he said that SIM card has been DISABLED. And now I can only make emergency calls.

I found somewhere on the Internet that will give the unlock codes for a SIM card if you have the IMEI number of the phone that I have, and the model. I entered the model and IMEI number to see if they had paid him to the record, which they said to do it before the "order"... which I was suspicious. They found my unlock the number, they said, for what I entered. Simply, they want my name, address, etc. and will allow me to pay using credit or debit via Paypal. It costs $ 7.99 for the code.

I'm not really happy to spend $8 that I can get for free if I go to a local store of AT & T with the technicians and technical help, that will do it for Hello, FREE?, because I pay 5 $par month on phone, insurance which now on this P.O.S. phone, had to be said for her many times... but I secretly want to take in the closest CENTRE of DEVICE OF SUPPORT , I have a recommendation to go form (but that one is a 2.5 hours a one-way ticket on public transport, unfortunately, compared to only an hour or two in a store of tech to give me a new SIM card) and see if I can get this BackFlip swapped for a SideFlip while I'm.

    • What is the chances of that? Just whine enough about the BackFlip even get a SideFlip? The SideFlip is done? To compensate for the BackFlip? (^_*)?
    • Anyone know how to unlock the SIM card once it has been disabled? Or people with reduced mobility means NEVER usable for the rest of its useful life? That's all I need to know now. Mainly.
    • And on the other hand, in passing, if someone got lucky by swapping this out for a SideFlip mofone and what their thoughts were the Motorola SideFlip vs the BackFlip with respect to memory and the Android operating system and version MotoBlue... etc. The usual. Comparisons?

The tech store I use mainly is closed on Sundays (to get a new SIM card), so I can't go today after all. To remedy this, I hope to get a response on this forum. Please post anything you know that might help me for FREE get this MOFONE FIXED and SIM re-activated or reactivated. And it's too late in the day to get to the CENTER of SUPPORT of DEVICE. So boo hoo. I'm screwed. I would like to have a car and not a nice bike respectful of the environment.

PS - I've READ online THAT THE PUK FOR THIS PHONE IS ALWAYS 1111, but I think they were referring to the device of MiFi who came, not the BackFlip MB300... so I don't know if the PUK Code is universally 1111 or what, but it does NOT work. What could be? Is - this own to my phone and the IMEI number? Thank you!!!

    djpurity

If the SIM card is deactivated so your best bet is to get a new one. AT & T gives them for free, but there is not many other v e can do. Blocking of SIM cards is a security feature to protect your account as a sim card is linked to a phone number.

Other unlocks forsale are online for carrier unlocks - unlocking a phone to use with another carrier. The unlock code requiring an IMEI unlock for another carrier - it won't help with SIM disabled.

If you could easily unblock a SIM card, anyone could steal your phone and break the SIM lock. As far as I know, once the SIM card is disabled, you must a new.

But the good news is that AT & T gives free new.

  • Unlocked new Xperia Z3 - it snaps to the 1st sim/network?

Hello.  Sorry if this has been asked / answered in the past but my unlocked new Xperia Z3 now will lock in the 1st sim/network I used with the phone, Tesco Mobile / O2 in my case, or will any new sim from another network card work well?  Thanks in advance for any response / response (s).

    @diggergraves

If the phone is SIM free, it won't lock, if the phone is network locked/SIM locked, then you need to unlock and then you can change as many SIM cards of different networks as you want.

  • Purchase unlocked IphoneSE UK long term use US

I'll buy a SE IPhone in the United Kingdom while here for an extended stay. Then, I'll need to use it permanently to the United States. I shared between the two places. It's better to buy an IPhone unlocked to the Apple store or it be difficulties using it if purchased elsewhere?  I read GiffGaff unblocked really good prices and reliability. This is the plug on GffGaff

    https://www.giffgaff.com/Apple/Apple-iPhone-se/phone-details#specification

I know I can get a SIM in the USA, I read any sim card works in an unlocked IPhone. But I'm not clear on what this means in terms of this list on Apple's site. I understand that this means if I want to have a monthly to the United States with a sim card that I need to think in terms of network use with what model number? Why some sites say a sim card work in an unlocked IPhone, but then this Apple lists some suppliers to work with certain numbers of series etc?

    http://www.Apple.com/iPhone/LTE/

I also read that the first time an iPhone is he used locks on any network you use the first time. Is this true with an unlocked IPhone and that is something that can be switched to the Genius bar in both countries when a local sim card is exchanged. I would be grateful for the latest information on how to smooth the transition between the two countries, and how it would be easy to swap Sim cards when necessary.

    Thank you very much.

    Here's what I know

Do not buy from Carphone Warehouse as the lock of phones to the first carrier, they are enabled on

Apple buying at full price always gets you an unlocked phone

The list on Apple's site lists the suppliers that provide the functionality associated with the phone as iMessage etc. - we have incidents of some posters here being charged for calls for activation as their provider was not an official Apple partner or that they might not use LTE etc.

The Genius bar will not help with SIM locked (locked carrier) phones - you will have to work with the carrier on that one.

Maybe some of our colleagues based in the United Kingdom can sound

  • Q5 Q5 of Blackberry blackBerry keyboard has stopped working

I rebooted my BlackBerry Q5 today (hold down the power button / stop and tap restart on the screen when it appears). After it starts I can no longer type on the keyboard and thus no enter the password for the device or the SIM PIN - put the device in a more or less useless State. The keyboard is not completely insensitive, it lights up when a key is pressed. But the key is not registered in the operating system.

I have since then tried to restart the device several times, both by the ordinary way that I have described above and by organizing the two volume keys up and down at the same time. Nothing solves the problem.

Dear BlackBerry, what should I do?

I recommend to connect to your computer and see if you can get a backup with link.  Then, I would try a security wipe.  The only problem is that, to do a security wipe, you access the device.  Because you can't go to the device, I'll try Knowyou.  You can download that here.  One time installed, plug in and go to the Setup tab.  Just above the installation, the tab is a circle (or part of a circle.)  Click on the circle and a few extra features should appear.  Do a cleaning of the device.  You will lose all your data, but I hope that you were able to make a backup.

If this does not work after a wipe, then you will need to return to your place of purchase for a warranty Exchange.

  • BlackBerry 8320 Smartphone restarting during phone calls!

My first curve from T-mobile returned 1 day later.  During this time it restarts to 50 times.  Obviously defective.

The other do not restart, but the right button was almost impossible to grow.  He returned and got a warranty Exchange.

The third curve works well 95% of the time.  But a few times a week, it recharges during a telephone conversation.  He doesn't do it anytime (unlike the number 1 of the curve).  It is extremely annoying.  I had high hopes that the new operating system could solve this problem, but no luck.  He always does.  You are looking for a "reboot call curve" on google Gets a LOT of success.  Thus, it is clear that I am not alone in this.  I read everything I can find on various forums, but nobody seems to have a definitive cause or cure.   I tried to remove the memory card, reformat the memory card, replacing the SIM card, restart the device manually, obsessively check the free memory space (no problem, I have 20 or free), exchange the battery, etc, etc... and she always does.

It always seems the case in the first minute of the call.  This happens when you are logged on BOARD and UMA.

I'm not going to downgrade or wipe the device because there are more messages from people who have tried it and I have yet to hear that it worked.  In addition, he did before the OS update so I have no reason to suspect it.

I called T-mobile, and they claim that they have never heard of such a thing, which is questionable.

This weekend, I reformatted the card again.  The next time that it restarts, I call and ask the curve number 4.

I'm very disappointed with the quality of these things!

As you say 'Tough luck for this forum'... .and your attitude

    Good luck!

    Thank you

  • Centre and focus of notification button does not

This has happened for a while and I thought assistive touch would be useful, but it is difficult to get used to him. I thought also update my phone could help the situation, but the only solution I know is reboot my phone. Basically, when I'm on my phone and I close an app using multitasking, I go back to the home screen and lower the center of notification. However, when I do that, it comes down half way and seeds. After the small problem I am unable to pull down my notification Center, then press my homescreen. The strange thing is I can always multitasking, but I can't go home. It spent a lot and it's super annoying. Send it please help my way if anyone knows how to solve this problem, thanks a ton!

Then, the Home button doesn't work or no?

If it isn't and you are still within the limits of the guarantee (one year of basic, 2 years if you bought AppleCare +) take it on an Apple Store or authorized for a service provider Exchange. Don't forget to save in question beforehand, you will receive an empty new/renovated unit, and you are responsible for your content. If it is out of warranty, you have to pay for an out-of-warranty Exchange, which is less than a new unit.

Do NOT try to fix it yourself or shop through some shady. The Home button is related to this specific phone and so distorted Touch ID will be NEVER WORK. In addition, future updates may fail as well.

  • iPhone 6 started flickering and unresponsive: how many replacement for a new

My iphone started to blink and does not, I have help allowed in my country and don't have a solution, I have no guarantee and they charged me R $1500 for a new, approximately $400. But I go to the United States next month and would like to know how much it costs to replace here. I googled hours on this subject, but I have not found the price.

Unless you bought the device in the United States, you will not be able to get a replacement here. A warranty replacement is performed only if guaranteed is done, the country of purchase. You will need to do the out of warranty Exchange in the country you bought the phone. One off replacement for the iPhone warranty 6 will be about $299. It is the American price, you must convert it to your location.

  • iPhone 6 stuck on the loading screen after trying to restore

I have the most recent iOS installed on my iphone 6. but I didn't just install it recently, it was a week or two he is a. and I woke today to the apple logo on my screen. nothing happened to my phone I can think of that would have caused the phone to stop working like that, except a few drops here and there minor. I looked everywhere online to try to find the problem and tried the recovery for the phone mode. I did what he said and tried the option to update before the restore option. of course the option to update ' t didn't work. the restore option was going well until he got to the part where the apple logo comes up with small loading spinning circle below it, once completed. It runs for a few seconds and freezes and move again. iTunes says that it 4013 and 4005 errors there. I tried to reinstall itunes and restart my computer to see if that helps, but nothing has changed. I have a PC, not an apple computer, if that helps at all. IM really scared that nothing will be saved on my phone, or im going to have to get a new phone. But if someone could help that would be great.

    Are you using non-Apple Chargers?

In the absence of a bad fall, water damage or other physical damage, this phone could have a defective NAND chip or a chip of U2 failed to the Board of Directors.
If you clicked on restore and restoration has started and regenerated your encryption keys - so yes you won't be able to recover your data.

Just to rule everything - try a simple force restart - home for 10 seconds and power keys.

If still not resolved, try a restore in DFU mode (as opposed to a restore in recovery mode).   Someone will post a link for restore DFU instructions - I have not very practical.

If this does not resolve, then you need the help of a repairer.  Your option at Apple will be out of warranty replacement for $299.   Your independent repair option would likely be a repair at the level of the Board of directors by mail which means you would be without your phone for a week or two, unless you can find someone local who performs at the level Council quality iPhone repair.  I expect one not does difficulty no fresh solution at about $140 for this problem.  Note - continuation of independent repair could cancel your ability to do the out of warranty Exchange at Apple for $299, although I've never seen this happen.

I'm sorry about what happened - what a drag
