Lockout Dreamweaver dialog box bc

I am trying to open Dreamweaver CC for the first time on my Mac. After the Welcome screen appears, I get the dialog box advising me on with 3 buttons sync settings (Advanced, Disable and Sync I think). But until I have time to hit a button, another dialog box opens on the top, asking me to log in to the site. I still get my AdobeID login information, but just the dialog box flashes and gives no error at all. Hit the Cancel did the same thing. So I can't go past this dialog to be able to use Dreamweaver. Once I was fast enough to hit 'HTML' under 'Create New' on the Welcome screen. Open a new file, but then the same dialog box appeared I could spend.

I guess that the box is in fact ask info from the connection to a site set up in Dreamweaver, but since I never opened this copy of Dreamweaver, I have not all registered sites. I am able to use Dreamweaver CC on my PC without any problem. I did not place or manage sites on the PC version, so even if the Mac check, here it wouldn't find all registered sites.

I tried to leave Dreamweaver, restart the computer, uninstall Dreamweaver, delete the opm.db file, reinstall Dreamweaver. The only change is that now I don't get on the synchronization settings dialog box. It just goes to this site connection dialog box. I'm on OS 10.8.5 and all my CC apps are up to date.

Did you run the cleanup tool before reinstalling?

  • The dialog box (Site manager) is frozen in dreamweaver CS5.

    Hello
Dialog manage site opens very well and I can reproduce an existing site, but when I click to edit a site, or click to create a new site, the dialog boxes that open then for each are frozen. I can add the local folder on the new site and the name of the server, but I can not add a server to a new site, and I can't change anything in an existing site.

The only thing I did recently (last few months) is with the regular windows update Windows updates. I also installed a program called WP Easycart (administration panel) which connects to a WordPress site that I do not edit or connect with Dreamweaver. I have not changed anything on Dreamweaver or added modules or extensions. Would it maybe a windows update that caused it to stop working?

    Hello Nancy,

I think that your solution would work However, VivekPassan contacted me via message and we talked on the phone. The problem is in the security settings in windows. I needed to give more permissions on my user account in the folder options. I also discovered that when my desktop display settings are at 150% the dang thing won't work or the other LoL.

  • How to make or force the Save dialog box for the link pop-up in Dreamweaver

How do or force the Save dialog box for the pop-up link in Dreamweaver, legally?

I looked on google how to and what is the code for this but all the answers are to use php or javascript code and paste it into "Web page editor" and edit with your file name. I wonder what the 'legal' way to do that using Dreamweaver options for getting to this: when I click on my link to the image on my Web page, I created, pop-up "save under" dialog box, then the visitor of my site for can save file that my site wish to offer for download.

It is very easy to just a link certain file (in my case is png image) and open in a new page in the browser, but I want to save as dialog window appears and then visitor on my site to save my png file or not.

    Help!

You will need to use a script.  If your server supports PHP, this will do what you want. Change filename & path to point to your download folder.  SaveAs download.php.

Place a link on your page parent download.php file.

  • Dreamweaver Templates dialog box

I work with several sites and enjoy the management of Dreamweaver templates.

For the most part, it's great, but there is a very frustrating problem that I hoped would be addressed during the last three versions of DW:

When I'm dealing with sites that have a lot of models and their nested models, the Model dialog box is not sufficient. I'm going to lose minutes trying to find any given model because:

    (a) you can't resize the dialog box, then you can only display on 6 or 7 models at a time, which does not cut on large Internet sites.

    (b) they are understandable order - not alphabetical, not in the order in which they were created - it seems almost randomly

Here's the box I'm talking about. I get it by clicking Edit-> Templates-> apply the model to the Page:

    select_template.jpg

I worked with DW years but I don't know everything, so maybe miss an easier way to do it.

Maybe it's a way I can apply templates and/or discovers the hierarchy of the model without having to use the extremely small and archaic dialog box, or can I change a file or registry entry to remedy?

    Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to develop your work scenario.  I have a much better idea of what your needs are and can see how the nested models can meet your needs [rare].

If you work in DWCS4 (the latest version), then you have already seen how the Model dialog boxes have changed - so now I'm confused.  Maybe I don't think of the correct dialog box.  My answer assumed you were referring to the FILE. New dialog box from the model.  Is it not what you wanted?

  • InDesign CS4 is not available by default programs dialog box

I am running w/Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista on a Dell computer. The computer had versions of Adobe InDesign CS3 and CS4 installed. I uninstalled CS3, but now, when I double click on any file *.indd Windows application which program use to open the file. InDesign CS4 (and many other installed programs) do not appear in the default programs dialog box. I find using the Browse button, but when I select, and then click 'Open' computer still does not appear in the dialog box window. How can I get Windows to see all programs, so that I can associate extensions with appropriate applications? I can open the files in InDesign CS4, but not by double-clicking on the file. Right now, all my obtained .indd files associated with DreamWeaver CS3.

    Hello Heather M DaVinci.

Click the number of the KB article to bring up a Microsoft article on the configuration of the default associations. There is an automatic for FIXIT
    Windows Vista.
Article KB 950505: when you run an .exe file on a Windows Vista or Windows 7-based computer, the file may start another program

If this does not help, I post in the Community Forums of Adobe for InDesign CS4.

  • Disable auto-fill in the dialog box find and replace?

Apparently, this question was not asked before, or at least the Adobe search engine can not find 'Find replace' in the forums. Is it possible to disable auto-fill "characteristic" in the find and Replace dialog box? I think it's dangerous. Find and replace in a coding environment must be very deliberate. Caught off guard, more than once, with attempts to Dreamweaver to do my thinking for me. Thanks for any help!

Oh without a doubt the fault is mine. Last minute search / replacement of a site, by request of the customer. (No matter WHAT last-minute editing is not asking, it's begging, in trouble, but it is also real life.) Still, I can't blame anywhere but with yours truly, but it would be nice if Dreamweaver offers the opportunity to help to protect me from myself, somehow.

  • Broken Design Notes dialog box

The 2015 CC of Dreamweaver, the Design Notes dialog box is broken. The two legs are non-functional and the text is badly placed beneath them. See the image.

    design-notes-dialog.png

This problem is the same, any site that I use and I have the same problem on different computers, running Mac OS X El Capitan. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem and if there could be a solution because I really want to use the Design Notes feature.

I just tested in Windows 10, and there is no problem with the tabs in the Design Notes dialog box. It is also very well on my laptop in El Capitan, but I run an overview of the update Dreamweaver CC 2015.1 they gave me access to a workshop at the Adobe MAX Conference last month. I don't know when will be released 2015.1 CC, but it should be pretty quickly.

  • Page CSS-need help beyond editing options in the Page Properties dialog box

I want to add a simple fill right and the right float to a Web site. The Page Properties dialog box allows a fill only to the left. I know the CSS code that I need to add (right margin) (float) and I could do in Dreamweaver... but is there a way to add my own little bit of code to a page? I know that you can add HTML to an object, but what about adding CSS to a page? It doesn't seem to be in the metadata tab in the <>empty space, or if this is the case, then extra bits that I don't know. Can anyone help?

You can create your own style, save it in the root folder and a link on the page.

Alternatively, you can try these options:

  • Too big Preferences dialog box

After that I installed Dreamweaver CC on my computer windows 7 with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, I found that the Preferences dialog box is too big to show 'help', 'Apply' and 'Close' buttons on the page to watch next.

    Preference_Dw.jpg

Is it possible to resize the dialog box, or the shortcut to 'apply' or 'close '?

Sorry, I thought I answered your first message.

The reason why the dialogue is too big is because you have set your preferences in Windows at 150% of the original size. Reduce it to 125% and everything is fine.

  • Weird fonts in dialog boxes

I would be grateful if someone could tell me why these funky fonts are showing up in my Dreamweaver CC dialog boxes.  I have never seen this before CC and I been using DW for many years it drives me crazy and I can't imagine that Adobe has done this.  I think it has something to do with my computer? I would be very happy if someone could tell me how to stop

Thanks in advance... Here is a screenshot of what I see: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18843334/funkytype.png

That is most likely caused by a conflict of fonts on your system.

Basically, DW uses an extra police for its interface and you have two on your system with the same number.

This particular font does not resemble what is installed by default (perhaps you added recently?). It must be something you can find relatively easily in Control Panel > fonts. Set very large icons so that you can see better. Find the offending police looking for Star Trek and remove it.

EDIT: Oops, didn't notice you were on a Mac, same thing, only use your book of fonts for an offender and disable/remove it from there.

  • Various elements in the fluid network settings dialog box are irrelevant

The desktop icons and tablet so that the percentage of screen arrows are irrelevant in the fluid grid settings dialog box in Dreamweaver.  Is this a problem with my installation or special to PC users?  I'm new and can't find anything about this, but I can't be looking in the correct areas here at Adobe.  Any help would be appreciated.

This has to do with the evolution of the size of the font of default to something more general. Here's what mine looks like if I text size in the Middle:

  • No dialog box change Site with new installation on Lion 10.7.3

Today, I installed Dreamweaver CS5.5 on OS X Lion 7.3. I'm unable to edit any site. Does not display the Edit dialog box. It gives no error when I create a new Site, but even when there is no edit dialog box.

    Thanks in advance.

Open disk utility and run the repair permissions function.  If this does not work, you may need to back up site definitions from the screen of the Site Manager where the Edit button does nothing.  Disable this feature (help-> dŽsactiver) Dreamweaver.  Run the vacuum cleaner ( http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html ) and re-install.  If it still does not at this time here, it could be a more serious problem with the installer and 10.7.3.  My version was installed before and if Apple changed something where Setup fails, you will need to contact Adobe at this time here.  They provide installation help: http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html .

  • How assign key Definition dialog box short CSS rule?

I need to know this very urgent. Dreamweaver has to a range of css style in which there is "Pencil icon" at the bottom of the palette which shows the css definition... Rule dialog box while modifying the value I want an overview of evolution... I can apply, move the dialog box and see the change...  "but the css style palette remains open blocking the view I want to see." Now, it is not possible to close the palette when the dialog box is open. I so need a key to open the dialog box directly rule css definition.

    Can anyone suggest something?

It of a little difficult to consider what you are trying to do, but if you want to hide the CSS Styles Panel to see more of the Document window, press F4. Which hides all panels. Pressing F4 again brings in the display.
