I did a clean install, but the video doesn't always work. The MIC on the webcam works but the webcam itself will not work. I think it has something to do with a driver problem. Hi ComputerFun,

After searching the compatibility of Windows Vista site, it shows that the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is compatible with Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit. He also had a download that was necessary for your QuickCam. I've included the URL for the Web site to verify if you have this download for your device.

  • Drivers Logitech Quickcam Pro

I just installed Windows 7 RC (64-bit edition), and everything seems fine, except the Webcam drivers. I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks, and here is the procedure I've tried to make it work:

1A tried to install the drivers from the disc that came with my webcam. He said: go - the operating system is not supported. I then tried to run the file setup.exe in compatibility mode (right click and select). I tried different options - Windows XP (Home, the OS I was running before installing Windows 7 RC - he has worked here), Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Windows Vista SP2. But in any case, I am not able to install the drivers.

    2. I then is gone to the Web from Logitech page and downloaded the drivers Logitech Quickcam Pro (v11.8) 64-bit for Windows Vista. As a result the problem mentioned in (1), I thought that the problem was that the drivers on the disk were for the 32 - bit version and the 64-bit version should do the trick. But the performance of the configuration file, I get the same message - software is not for this OS. I tried the compatibility fix (by selecting Vista/Vista-SP2), but does not work.
    Any help, anyone?

I am running Windows 7 RC (64-bit edition) on an AMD X 2 - Tureon processor. My webcam is Logitech Quickcam Pro for notebooks and the installation disc has v11.5 software (XP, Vista capable). The webcam worked very well under windows XP Home (SP3).

Virtual PC mode can be useful here? I don't think, because I assume that Virtual PC mode would only software and not (?) driver (?) compatibility.

    Hello

something I wonder about you do not mention in the post:

    Why you install the drivers?

According to my experience, Windows 7 has "grown up" and contains a lot of drivers by default now.

Remember the status of the Webcam in Device Manager before loading a driver? Perhaps it was already recognized early on, and there may not even be a reason to install another.

  • Satellite Pro A210 HDD, Windows Vista & BIOS problem

    Hello

We have an A210-1 b 3 - PSAFHE-01500PEN - running Vista which has had a hard drive failure.
We have replaced the old drive SATA (250 GB) with a 500 GB SATA drive and used the recovery disc to install Vista and specific software from Toshiba. We intend to restore our backup data that a Vista is installed.

That is the problem. We have installed the new hard drive, ran the recovery and after restarting, we got a Windows could not sating error set up the hardware and then restarts. I suspect that the new drive is not recognized by Vista. I looked around and it was suggested to the SATA Compatible parameter value in the BIOS. However, the BIOS (V1.5) has no options for this.

So, can anyone suggest anything please? Any ideas where I can get the latest update of BIOS (pref one that allows me to create a boot disk and update BACK)? Any help appreciated because she has completely baffled me.

    Thank you in advance,

    Jamie

    Hello

Seems that A210 BIOS does not support the SATA option, that would help you to switch the AHCI compatible mode. That is why the SATA drivers must be included in the configuration of OS install.

But if you use the Toshiba drive recover then you n t need to install the SATA drivers from the Toshiba drive recover contains the image where the SATA drivers are already included.

Now the question is why the Vista Setup program cannot complete.
Have you used the good drive recovery for the right portable model.
I read in a number of threads that people used bad disc

Well, it would be interesting to know if you can install the Windows operating system using the disk from Microsoft. On the other hand, you can try to format the HARD drive before launching the recovery disk

  • Satellite Pro P300-135/Windows Vista / problem with microphone and Crystal

Can someone help me please? I reinstalled my Vista and my microphone does not work. When I try to plug in my headphones, they are also dead. Nobody knows what kind of drivers can be responsible for this?

And how you try reinstalling Vista? Using the recovery image (factory settings) or you try to install the clean version of Vista?

Sorry, but I don't see any sense why you are doing this. Your laptop comes with Vista. Is there a particular reason to achieve?

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 (CB022A) / Windows Vista 32 bit (printer appears in gibberish)

I recently replcaed the this printer's magenta ink tank, but the screen has refused to accept it was sufficient ink in there. So I did a system reset, I thought. {The content removed}  However, this resulted in my words of choice display option is most read in English. Get the number of the option but not the word assigned with it. It literally reads like gibberish. I have a suspicion that the printer think that his memory is not for a tawianese or Japanese user but the police these languages stored inside.

{The content removed} I got those on this forum site. While I got the #/ 3 (maybe answer.com, I think). I can probably take some pictures of the display with my iPhone and download them.

Also when the printer prints a page additonal fate with a test pattern part when I print a page of a document is saved. My PC can not get the printer to scan more of Adobe Acrobat Pro and none of the software I have driver downloads HP can detect the printer or diagnose the problem of printers.

I only resorted to this forum because I'm stuck.

We do not have HP repair services, but you may be able to locate a repair shop that can help. Maybe a small possibility exists and believe me I hesitate to inform people that it would be in their best interest to get a new unit, but in this case, it's really my recommendation. At the time where efforts have been spent to find a way to get this device (not to mention the monetary costs) it would be simpler and more efficient to get a unit that could cost less than the price of the repairs.

    Have a great day!

  • Performance on a Satellite Pro A120-185 with Windows Vista problems

Can someone help me with this.
My laptop is a new Satellite Pro A120-185 with Windows Vista.

I'm supposed to have cetrino duo 2, 2 GHz and cach of 4 MB, FSB 667 MHz, RAM 1 GB, even though they are at 533 MHz, 100 GB 5400 RPM HARD drive / MIN.

It is slow, not only starting, programs opening, plays something, the browser and even to copy from the CD to the hard drive sometimes give me time 4 days left!

Clicking on something takes forever. What's wrong?
Need less to say that with vista no and I mean none, of my devices are busy. Dongle Bluetooth, USB disk, printer, NAS, and and...

    Hey dude,

Please don t forget that Vista has been installed on your laptop and the additional tools of Toshiba and the utilities that control many additional features!
There is a huge difference between Vista and early Microsoft operating systems.

The Vista eat computer resources and many devices old don t work or cannot be installed because the 3rd device manufacturers don t provide Vista drivers!

In my opinion an upgrade to 2 GB ram would increases the performance of laptop.
All programs and utilities could be loaded more quickly
