Have you installed Windows 7 device drivers for your make and model. If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.

External wireless devices usually come with their own software and the driver which you should be able to download from the web site of the manufacture of wirelsss.

Original title: April 16 to restart my computer after installing Windows Vista upgrades, my office is now only 2 thirds of the screen, with the third other black

The whole office is there, but it is located in the Center, if the screen, with black bands at the top and bottom. By clicking full screen on the top right has no effect.

    Hi Jeremy,.

Thanks a lot for your help. You're right, I should have said no upgrades and updates.
There were a total of 10 updates:
4 a security updates for Vista,
1 security update for the Microsoft 2010 information access path,
1 day of cumulative security for IE9.
    1 windows Live essential 2011
1 definition update Windows Defender (KB915597)
    1 "" for Office 2010 "
    1 April 2013 malware tool
I uninstalled Windows Live Essentials. I felt that I should not uninstall the updates of security, and the Defender update can not be uninstalled. It made no difference.
I also checked the graphics card and told me that I had the latest version of the software.
Then I checked the configuration of the monitor and graphics card configuration and found I could set the configuration to full frame. I did it and now all is well again.
How and why the full frame disappeared April 16 remains a mystery.
Thank you very much for your information without your help I would have been unable to delve deeply into the system. I learned a lot.

    Hi man chic,

    1. This only happens when you try to install the printer HP or with other programs?

    Step 1:

Before you install Windows Vista SP2, uninstall completely printing software.

Check out the link to uninstall a program:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Step 2:

After installing SP2, try to install the latest version of the drivers available for the printer and the printer and check if it helps.

  • No sound after installing Windows Vista SP2

Vista service pack 2 and the loss of its

    Windows vista 32 bit
I installed vista service pack 2 update and lost sound, I restored my computer to service pack 2 and sound istalling pre was there. I have re-installed now update sevice pack 2 and its missing again. It's the same with service pack 1 and I had to restore my computer to factory settings to retrieve the sound. I really don't want to have to do it again.
I tried the microsoft fix that says everything is fine. I've done all the things suggested on troubleshooting audio from vista - still no sound. My internet explore keeps reloading when I don't have service pack 2 installed.
What can I do to fix this?

Like Nettie63, after SP2 has been installed, my sound on the left and the utility 'fix it' said everything of fine.  I tried the fix above with the research of STacSV64.exe that by pasting into the search bar.  However, he said that there was no file so I couldn't just double-click on it.

What do you recommend?   Thank you very much.

  • Could not start the desktop Vista after installing Windows Vista SP2, error: 0XC0190036.

    Original title: vista sp2 problem.

I have a laptop that I haven't used in a while.  I took on a trip and received the message that the updates are available.  One was SP2.  After the update is complete, it failed to start with a message OXC0190036.

Startup Repair said that he could not solve the problem.  Restoration of the system has not only restore - labeled SP1 and it allows you to finalize the restoration of files and stays there.  (I waited for 3 hours without change).
I have a XP install disc that I used before installing Win 7 on my desktop, but it does not give me the opportunity to do an installation.
Can enter the command prompt, I'm perplexed as to what to do.

    Hello

XP disk will not help you to fix Vista

As the system restore does not try a startup repair and / or a restoration of the system using a Microsoft Vista DVD

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/repair-Windows-with-Windows-Startup-Repair/

    Table of contents

    1. Overview of Windows Vista repair options
    2. How to perform an automatic repair of Windows Vista using Startup Repair
    3. Advanced Tools Overview
    4. Conclusion

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

Here is a link to it:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2011/Windows-Recovery-discs-updated-reinstated/

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

And here are a few ways to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Computer HP laptop is not picking up good wireless signal after downgrading windows 8.1 for windows 7

So far, I had a hell of a trip to the scene that I have (I managed to get windows 7 booted up and installed etc and then had to download drivers for a bunch of stuff that was absent because of the falling out between W7 and W8) but I need serious help/help - particularly nearby wireless network card drivers , but also in other areas, too.

In short, the problem I have is that I had to download an ASUS 802.11n network adapter driver just to get my wireless works... and now it is not picking up signal unless the laptop is basically right next to the router.

The router works fine - it's all new Virgin Media and I pick up the signal 5 houses down on my iphone.

I guess the question I seek an answer to is if because the Windows 8.1 will no longer work and I had to install a * beep * ty Asus driver temporarily, can someone find me a suitable adapter for the following:

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C & REV_01
    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C
    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_0280

Oh my laptop is a HP pavilion 17 by the way - and Yes, I used this site to get adapters but none seem compatible.

After spending some time looking around more closely, I found a driver that solved my problem:

Hi, I have re-installed Windows Vista on my laptop (dell insparon) 1525 and now my wireless does not work. ive tried re installing driver, but it says operating system not supported. I used the disc that came with the computer of the re install and I even tried to install service pack 1. .

original title: Wireless problems after install.

I just tried both, the dell is one that says OS not supported"and the intel, it went very well, but my 'network controller' still have a yellow top thing in Device Manager. and I always wireless. any other ideas? Thank you for the help

Question...  You have whatever it is listed in the "Network adapters" section of "Device Manager" now?

While ensuring that the exclamation point is not for your wired network device (plausible) or bluetooth (plausible) and you just need to configure your wireless network to connect to * your * wireless network now.

You may have to contact Dell to see why none of their drivers receive your wireless device works on the original operating system, what they included.  This could be a hardware problem PURE.

  • New just installed Windows Vista, unable to connect to wireless networks

So a few months ago my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6) fell from my bed and the hard drive was messed up, so I'm a computer geek friend to replace my hard drive and put a new operating system on it, he had no activation key. In any case, after I came back it was working fine and I was able to use the internet by connecting to public networks, but every time I would connect to my computer it asked me to activate it. And finally I got so bored with being bugged that I decided to buy a new product key, so that he'd stop bugging me. So I bought a new Windows Vista Home premium operating system and when I received it in the mail, I installed correctly and put in the product key and active it and all that much good but whenever I try to connect to the internet that it says "Windows cannot find wireless networks" and when I click on "Diagnose this problem" he says "this computer does not have an install_ adapter of» configured wireless network. and then it gives me options troubleshooting that brings me at all because most of them consist in some way to update my drivers online, but I can't online my laptop to update! and all the other solutions are just confused. Is there a reason why my "driver" would stop working AFTER you install Windows Vista? Or is there some way I can uninstall the operating system and just use the one I had before? Help please!

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

    See you soon.

    ·        Did you do a clean install of Windows Vista without formatting?

    ·        How many letters pilot are there on the system, for example C:\, D:\?

    ·        The number of records your C:\ drive?

Open C:\ drive and select all the files that are present and check what size is (of all files). Let us know the size.

    Monastir,

What happens when it stops it is have a Sata driver. It is on the drivers cd you received with your computer. You can also start the computer and press F2 to enter the bios. From there down to Configuration system - SATA Operation and change this to ATA. It is located to AHCI. Save the changes and restart the installation. Once you have loaded Windows and drivers installed, you will need to go back to AHCI.
