Lost blackBerry smartphones the 9650 - only vibrate

Summer all over the internet looking for an answer. 9650 "BOLD" lost of sound for incoming calls and messages. Starts to vibrate and can get Iheart to play with headphones. Is it back to the repair shop, or have I missed something.

I did hard boots, restore backups, etc. etc.

Somehow it as magically started working again.

    Hello

so I'm sure it's a lost cause, but not hurt to ask... some of you miracles, so never know.

My blackberry of the flame pulled out a few days ago. It has not been used yet (I was check), getting only calls incoming/text, nothing external.

Not cool, but worse, it's that I never installed an any follow-up or blackberry Protect on it... I know, shame on me. But I never lose anything or got things I have expensive stolen from me before and thought, but kept putting it off.< --="" irrelevant="">

In any case, anyone of you has an idea if there is a way to track a device already lost/stolen with no application of protection?

Is it possible to install a remote application and activate it like that?

All ideas are really appreciated... it's pretty painful...

    Thank you!!

    A.

If it is a personal account of the BIS device, the answer to all your questions is no. I'm sorry.

Applications such as Blackberry Protect are free and must be installed.

RIM and Virgin cannot follow him. You should go ahead and call Virgin and have SIM disabled immediately until someone decides to use.

If it is a device of company BES account, your BES administrator can wipe the device remotely and turn it off.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

What you need to do is to find, on your PC, the IPD file created when you backed up. Search your entire hard drive *. IPD. Then use this file as the source of a restoration of your new BB (choose ONE of these KB, depending on the version of the RIM Desktop software you have already installed on your PC):

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Bluetooth Headset - only works for calls

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 Smartphone. I was quickly able to get a bluetooth headset to work with her. Unfortunately, when playing music headset does not work (the sound only comes out the phone via the handset or the speaker). If a request comes in while music is playing, the bluetooth headset picks it up.

I'm doing something wrong? Why not the music on the game Pearl via bluetooth if I want?
    Thanks for any help there...

Resolved when I upgraded the operating system.

  • Database of blackBerry Smartphones the address book not available for synchronization

... "For help to resolve this problem, refer to KB19454 in the Knowledge Base of Blackberry Desktop Manager".

I did, and it says this:

Cause 1: the BlackBerry smartphone does not contain the PIM application you are trying to synchronize with. For example, the screenshot above error has occurred as a result of the application of tasks is not installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Then, of course the BlackBerry has the address book app installed, and if it wasn't the cause.  I followed some of the sons of other related expenses and came up with nothing.

I synced before - first time that successfully, this worked great, the second time that he kept failing, so I changed the setting to REPLACE my address book on the BlackBerry each sync, who has worked several times, and now this.

    GRRRR... of ideas?

Worked like a champ, with the only exception to the process.  When I looked at my address book to the end, he had more than one entry for each record.  So I went back to the process, but this time, before you reconnect and resynchronize, I deleted manually additional entries - for some reason, they were still there, even though I "erased" address book information!  I'm guessing that these entries were originally a part of the problem.  Anyway, once deleted I've reconnected, resynced ' by replacing ' content of the BB for the address book - and now I have great 2-way synchronization job. • Lost blackBerry Smartphone email icon

Hi, can someone help me please?  I have three e-mail accounts on my phone and until two days ago I had four e-mail icons, one for each e-mail account and a general icon in emails went as well as individual accounts.

For some reason, I lost one of the icons and although I continue to receive emails to this account they show only under the "general" or icon everything. I tried to remove and reinstall the account, but that does not work and following the advice given to other people on this forum who have lost icons does not either.

    Thank you in advance.

    TamTam

    1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
    2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

Now, if you don't always see on your "BOLD", open the e-mail icon > Menu button > Options or settings and find the setting that turns e-mail to the general account to the wide and see if that is enabled for the lost email icon.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones The JVM 102 error with a touch...

If I get the dreaded error 102 Reset JVM on my Pearl 8130.  I've searched the forums and the common suggested solution is to connect the blackberry to the computer and run the application loader in Desktop Manager.  I downloaded the latest version of DM and have downloaded the software later exploitation of my provider's site.  When I start the application loader, it shows my PIN and request a password for my device.  I still can't remember a password.  So I tried everything I can think of.  No matter what password I put in the list of applications is rising and I take what I want to load.  When I click on "Finish", after a minute or two to try to connect to my blackberry, I get this message:

"The desktop charger is unable to connect to the device.  You may need to enter the password on the device. »

The problem is that I can never remember set a password for this phone in DM.  So I have no idea what password they might require.  I tried my standard password for everything, "blackberry", my phone number and tried without password.  The password is still here?  Any help would be greatly appreciated I feel cut off from the world without my blackberry (I know, it's a problem).  Thank you!

I thought about it!  The first thing I did was to download the latest versions of the software of the device (something Verizon 4.3) and Office Manager (v. 4.5).  As ever, I remembered having to enter a password before, I uninstalled 4.5 and redownloaded the previous Director of office version 4.3.  He never asked a password and I was able to reload applications and we're back running.  I lost all my contacts from phone, but better than having to pay $50 for a new franchise!  Thanks for all the help.

  • Details of 'Lost' blackBerry Smartphones

I seem to have lost a few coordinates. Although many of my contacts are still intact, others are more a phone number secondary I once entered, or some contacts seem to have disappeared completely.

The strange thing is, when I compose one of the 'lost' numbers manually, the name of the contact is displayed. But I can not find it in the list of contacts. I already checked and unchecked commercial and personal options in the menu filter, but who hasn't toured.

Any suggestions on what I might hurt?

Note: this is not my own - I plead for a friend

You save the phone numbers on the sim card?  Look in the phone book sim.  There should be an option for this in the address book.

  • Backup lost blackBerry Smartphone 8330 to 9650 news using Blackberry Desktop software? Impossible?

Lost my beloved 8330 with tons of data into it, but I have an old backup to a month using Blackberry Desktop Manager V 4.3.0.17.

Verizon wanted to know if I wanted to Android. No, I'm staying with Blackberry, so I got a new Blackberry Bold 9650.

BUT... big but Blackberry Desktop Manager seems to have no way to allow me to put this old backup of data in the new 9650.

    How is that possible?

    Hello

You should probably switch to a later version of the Desktop software. You can then use this KB:

  • The device icon lost blackBerry smartphones

I did a tour overseas and noticed my phone stopped working at halfway through - I could not send or receive calls or texts.  I think that this happened to me once before when I was traveling overseas.  To fix it, I pulled the battery and put it back in - and everything (ie the phone) has worked well.  Then I noticed that had lost an icon - that is a picture of the device that allows you to position the ring on loud, quiet, vibrate, etc..  How to bring back the icon?

Also, does anyone know why the phone stops working abroad?

    Welcme cmmunity supprt frums

Press the button on your BlackBerry (Menu) and SHOW all.  See if it was hidden.

Second thing to do is research behind other icons to see if it is playing hide and seek with you. Sometimes, it happened.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones setting BB to vibrate for then meeting the entrance is on the calendar

I got a smartphone that would automatically change the sound profile to vibrate when a meeting was scheduled.  How do I do this with the 9630?

    Lou

I don't think this is possible within the native operating system.

You will need to manually edit your profile to vibrate or silent.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones emails appear only after I open the web browser...

    Hi all

I have a problem with the reception of emails on my 8330.  It is a relatively new problem for me.  Everything worked fine until a few days ago.  My camera will display only new emails when I open the web browser.  I have not changed anything in the settings.  I can send emails fine.  I have read similar problems, but have not been able to find a solution to this problem.

If anyone can help me please let me know.

    Thank you!!!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact probably your carrier for formal support.
