Lost power, lost configuration

I have a newly installed E2400 Linksys wireless router.  Subject, and time after fully put in place, we had a storm come through and it caused a momentary failure.  Quite a long time to restart.

When everything went back online, I found that the E2400 had lost about half of the configuration that I had just finished.

(Yes, I save the config.)  When I finished.)   Is this normal?   I'll have to reload the config every time we get a power glitch?

Well in this case try to do the Setup again. Activation of WEP or WPA/WPA2 wireless security key or password of the router

  • Wi - Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a type of wireless security that is dynamic by nature, which means that it changes according to the renewal of time, you will specify.
  • Wired equivalent Protocol (WEP) is a type of wireless security that does not change.  It confidentiality comparable to a traditional wired network.

Thanks for the details. iOS 5 is compatible with Jabber for sure, but at least, I got the info for Cisco Mobile 8.1.2 customer & don't know if tests for 8.5 is over. If you are a Cisco partner, you might want to open a case with PDI www.cisco.com/go/pdihelpdesk Helpdesk so that the PDI team it can confirm for you.

In the meantime, have you tried reinstalling the client, which could solve the problem of too.

  • Blocks of lost and lost configuration/table on PS6000 - crisis

Lost and lost blocks configuration on PS6000

After the loss of power and reboot, the following symptoms:

    No active Ethernet link
Connection by serial Console cable gives lost blocks
Old password grpadmin is known, but not details of the current group, request the Member to initialize the array. All data would be lost.

Crisis! Is it possible to recover the table and group information and all data, even if unreliable and incomplete?

ATTENTION: Before using the clearlostdata command, call your support provider.

Clears the blocks of data on a table was lost.

Use the clearlostdata command when the blocks were lost, but the table doesn't know which blocks have been lost. In this case, the table will be unable to start or will not be accessible from the network.

Once connected to the table (either through a serial connection or a network connection with the IP address of a network interface), press the key and sign in to an account of group that has permission to read / writing (for example, the grpadmin account). The console will describe the problem and recommend that you use the clearlostdata command to try to fix the problem of lost block. At the CLI prompt, enter the clearlostdata command.

The clearlostdata command may or may not being able to fix the whole problem of lost blocks. In some cases, the problem can be corrected enough to initialize the array. If volumes stay offline, you maybe won't be able to recover the data on them. In these cases, you must delete the volumes, recreate them and recover data from a backup or a replica.

If the table is a member of a group and the command clearlostdata does not resolve the problem, the table does not start and you may need to remove the members of the group. If you remove the Member, the table will be reset and returned to its default settings. Delete only a member offline in extreme circumstances because reset table will delete all data on the array. Hi all

I am new to the solution of the UCS and tried recently updated the BIOS via the host update utility and MMIC. There were a few warnings version that prevented the upgrade, but I was able to update the firmware of the NETWORK adapter.

CIMC is at version 1.0.2 and BIOS at C200.1.4.1.0.071320110702.

I'm not sure how to read the version of the BIOS however.

When the server is turned on, there are 3 long beeps and it crashes to the configuration and memory test, please wait...

In any case, I am tired of the BIOS recovery procedure using the J1E5 jumper without success.

    If anyone has experienced this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Calvin.

Host upgrade utility is not supported until version 1.2.

This may have been the cause of some of your upgrade issues.

You run a BIOS of 1.4 to what I see. You will need to update your version MMIC for version 1.2 and the. Use the HUU to 1.4

  • Some ESX4 configurations are lost after the reboot of the system

    Hi people,

I use ESX4 server for months.

Lately, after creating a few Pools of resources (RP) and the addition of virtual machines in the pool, I noticed that after rebooting my system, I lost all the Resource Pools, I created.

This problem of loss of configuration is not only limited to the RPs, I also lost some of the configurations of the network/portgroup after system reboot.

This problem is is produced as well when I entered "Maintenance mode" and then then rebooted the system;  and also when I typed the command "reboot" in the bash shell (I typed 'reboot' command 'sync' several times before typing.)

This problem becomes a kind of annoyance since I have to re-create the lost configuration each time that I reboot.

Is it possible to manually force the ESX4 to save the configuration for that I do not keep losing part of my configurations?

    Could someone please help?

    Thanks in advance.

    Danny

Really glad its sorted for you, as I said, I saw the question before at a customer's site and you will never know that the root is full, except if you look in the service console. It would be good to have this visible through the vi client, but in the meantime it just added monthly controls!

    Thank you

  • Power options can be copied to a file?

There are many Options of food, especially under Advanced settings (brightness, require a password on wake up, etc.).  It would be very useful to be able to copy these options and the current settings for management of power supply in a text file or a Word document, or something like that.  It would be much easier to see them like that than to have to scroll through a lot of them and having to click on it a lot to see what the options are.  It would also be a good way of documenting the current settings in case they are lost or if they need to be put into a new computer or something.

Yes, this can be done.  You can run it from the high command prompt or put everything in a single batch file that is run as an administrator.  This is the batch file that I use [I have added explanations for each bit in brackets]

  • Dell R820 power in case of failure of the firmware

I updated the firmware on my server R820, what I did on several other PE Dell similar if not the same model. This time something weird happened. All the device turned off and only would not return. I left it there for a few minutes see if it was just doing its thing and would itself have power back on. The front of the server has lost power completely. I could not the power button to work or anything like that. Finally, I had to pull the plug and then plug it in again and I was able to fire again.

Well, now, I get an error error detected power supply configuration at startup. If I look at OpenManage, it says that the PS1 is very good, gives me readings, etc. If I look at the PS2, it said NA for everything except that he detected presence Configuration error.

They both work well before this update, so I don't know what happened.

A way to solve this problem for the power supply issue?

    Thank you.

    -Jason

    Hello Jason

It seems that the FW update may have failed and the PSU will probably have to be replaced. I suggest that you try to perform the FW update again. If this is not successful then you should try to switch on/off the system with just the 2 power supply of the system. If power supplies are different revisions FW then a shift occurs and it will be disabled, so POWER 2 block does seem in line with 1 power supply of the system.

  • Configure the print format. 3522

I was printing a user for a smart phone manual. After many false starts, I finally got exactly what I need.

Print booklet, 2 pages of a sheet and automatic two-sided, so I got 4 pages on a sheet of paper from the manual pages are half size of 8.5 by 11.  I could print 16 manual pages at once on 4 sheets of paper.  Exactly what I needed. It would take 20 tries to do all the work. cut the leaves half everything was fine.

Then disaster! failure of the printer. A call to Canon got a warranty replacement.

But now I've lost configuration to print in the right format. I can't replicate the results and I'm only at half way through the job.

Detach the printer, I have a piece of paper that has 2 pages of manual on one side and 2 more on the other side. If I run 6 sheets at a time get 24 pages of manual. I am totally impressed with the software that does so well.

But now I've lost the recipe to select print settings. If anyone can help. Is there a manual for the printer that describes the implementation of ptoper?

Ever grateful, assistance or guidance on the search for what do mean the different settings of the printer.

    Hi Charlie-NP,

For the PIXMA MG3522 user manual can be downloaded from the site Web of Canon USA.  Please click here to access the page Brochures and manuals for the printer.  Once the initial download to your model page, follow these steps:

    1. Please select your language preference in the section 'LANGUAGE '.

2 when manuals are displayed, please click on the series of manual MG3500 of use you want to download for the operating system that is located on your computer from the GUIDES AND MANUALS section. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click the box below the button DOWNLOAD, and then click DOWNLOAD to start the download. The time for the download process can vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.

  • D DAQMx 6229 problems default IO port configuration

    Hello

We use the PCI-6229 in an industrial PC / Windows 7 CVI application and are interested in the power setting to the top of the default configuration for the input/output digital port configuration.

We used the utility NI Max Device Explorer and config to set the default values for the configuration of our application 26 DI + 6.

It works very well which allows us to turn off the PC and power again upward and the Council retains its power to configuration.

When we run our application and power cycle the PC, the power of the State seems to have returned to factory settings, which is all the output to 0 (I think).

I don't think that we are running the functions that perform all reset of the card.

Did someone saw this behavior like this and have any ideas of how we can know how to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Steve Pinfold

    Hi Steve,.

I conducted a survey on this issue, and it seems that this is a known bug and was returned in October last year.

There is however a workaround solution.

Cannot set the State of a single line at a time, because that will generate an error kErrorPowerupStateNotSpecdForEntirePort. Instead of so, write several DAQmxSetDigitalPowerUpStates() with different hardcoded calls a number of settings and switch between them during execution. I joined ppus_set.c, which is supposed to randomly through the adjustment lines.

I hope that this should be a good starting point for you!

    Sari,

Even if there is not a physical module services fire power management port, it uses Management0/0 port to connect to the module of SFR.  If you like on the same VLAN as your server VLAN on the SAA plug Management0/0 port on a switch that is sharing the network server VLAN and give the module SFR an IP address on the same subnet.

Make sure that you remove the statement under interface Management0/0 nameif. Here is an example:

    interface Management0/0

  • Power battery X 3750 with 5 switches

Hi, I know the documentation that it is only possible to connect a maximum of four switches in a power battery configuration. I need to have five switches in a stack of data, it is possible to configure three power switches of a battery and the other two switches in one separate power battery or I have to have four switches with the power of the battery and the fifth stand alone? Hope it makes sense.

    Thank you

    Graham

With the help of two piles of food is a way to go in this scenario. Your five switches can still generate a data stack. This scenario is also shown in the Q & A.

Otherwise, you could use a XPS to provide backup power for all five switches.

Apparently, most of the problems occur with laptops, etc. that run on batteries, but mine is a desktop computer. I don't care if my PC will sleep or not, but really want my monitor turns off after 10 or 15 minutes. After you set the Power Options, it will work a couple of times - the monitor turns off and the drive goes to sleep - but then it stops working. Anyone have all the solutions or know how to find one in the Knowledge Base?

I would like suggestions. Thank you!

I think you are saying that you put in the power settings do not work after a few uses, i.e. the display & hard disk turn off at the time you told them in the beginning, but then quit to do what they are asked at a later stage.

However, since you have now confirmed, the correct settings are still displayed in correctly in the advanced power management settings.

In this case then I agree that the link I gave you is not appropriate.

I think that the first no account required to these symptoms, should be check the updated drivers.

Go to Control Panel, [view by - small icons, if necessary], right click on the Device Manager & select run as Admin.

Make sure that you have an internet connection.

Select your screen, right click and select Update driver.

Select your hard drive, right click and select Update driver.

You can also run the Control Panel, Troubleshooting, Troubleshooting of power , but everything he has ever done for me, it is arguing the draw on how long I set myself until my screen turns off.  It is also at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Power-troubleshooter

I don't think that powercfg will help you a lot.  If you use it just to declare a list of properties so you can manually check through the list to see if expected parameters are saved correctly.  I think they will be your comments.

Make sure that you are in the power plan you're investigating and then enter in a command prompt:

    powercfg - qh >yourusername\ThisPlanProperties.txt C:\Users\

Repeat this to give you something to compare to.  Then switch to the balanced power management & enter in a command prompt: -.

    powercfg - qh >yourusername\BalancedPlanProperties.txt C:\Users\

[in addition, the argument - q is documented but qh - isn't; - qh just made sure the 'hidden' properties are included in the output of powercfg.]

Open text files & paste each in a column of a worksheet calculation, so you can see them side by side [you may need to insert a few cells here & it just well aligned].  Then look through them the entries you want and look through the properties of the plans using the normal Control Panel, power, management settings advanced road as well to help you understand what each one is.

To understand better entries, you can also refer to PMPolicy_Windows.docx, see the power policy Configuration and deployment in Windows.  This document will make you want to tear your hair out if you look now, but will make more sense once you've seen the list of properties produced by powercfg.
