Lost VI Server

Setup: 3 ESX hosts, a windows Server 2003 VI

After a failure of the server that was my server VI died, so I can use my VI client to connect directly to the ESX host, but I don't see them as a cluster - is all fast up to return to the display of the cluster, I guess that the VI Server manages the DRS so my cluster does not work at the moment?

You can go ahead and activate the trial giving you 60 days

I'm afraid that the trial period will not help in this case, because the ESX hosts are already running for a long time. The license files shouldn't be a problem anyway, because they can be downloaded from the portal of VMware.

    You mean it must be confirmed if the partition table is OK first? But how to confirm...

    Just run this command:

    fdisk-l

    You should see your LUN with a VMFS (type fb) partition.

  • Lost virtual server

    I recently had cause to stop my servers for low maintenance.  I stop all of my virtual servers, put my ESXi server in the mode of maintenance and then it turns off.  When I brought a return of servers online virtual was labeled as unknown and could not be used.  When I checked its data store, the only files I see are:

    name-000001 - delta.vmdk GB 16.7

    name - flat hard Go 26.2

    Name.vmsd 0.00 kb

    Thost also visible files in the data store Navigator as type 'File' instead of 'Virtual disk' or 'Virtual Machine' when I try to recreate the virtual machine using these files I have, they are not selectable as compatible virtual disks.

    Is that what I can do to get back on this server?  Unfortunately restore backups are not an option that the person in charge of the backups did not save this server since January.

    You have to re-create the files *.vmdk (file descriptors).  Follow this KB--> http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1002511

    For each virtual disk, there should be two files:

    hard disk descriptor--->

    -flat.vmdk---> disk data file

    For each delta (snapshot file) file, there should be two files as well:

    -XXXXXX.vmdk---> disk for Flash disk descriptor

    -XXXXXX - delta.vmdk---> data file from disc to disc-instant

    where XXXXXX is a number of snapshot next.

    Once you manage to recreate the descriptor files - you will be able to add these disc again the VM.

  • converted in adapter network lost 2 Server esxi Server

    I have a couple of servers that were on esxi 3.5. I had to convert them to vmware server 2 and now the network cards are gone. In devices, under map network, connected to the network bridged on server is grayed out. I tried to remove and re-add the adapter as well as for changing of bridged to the host.

    You need to resolve dependencies as tools needs to be recompiled. The kernel-source (headers) and gcc are required.

    Hello I recently bought this phone and Im trying to update the drivers but every time the download of files, it is said

    Where do you want to download the driver updates? You can post the exact link for example?

    Generally the driver updates are unnecessary if everything is ok with your laptop. So, if you n t have any problems you can forget about updates.

    By the way: TOSHIBA TEMPRO can automatically download the drivers.

  • ONC DAG Exchange 2013

    Hello

    When DAG is created for Exchange in 2012 2013 server, I know that I have to pre the NOC DAG staged by creating the computer object in AD and disable this computer account later.

    A few days ago, I checked the AD and noted that the computer object for the DAG has been activated.

    I tried to disable the computer object again, and it seemed ok. But an hour later, when I checked one of our Exchange Server nodes, specified Server Manager connection to the lost Exchange Server in the DAG object. So I re - activate the computer object of DAG in AD and fixed this problem with the connection. Now, the Exchange servers / DAG works very well and did not report. I checked the failover cluster manager and all nodes are online and DAG is operational.

    However, I'm not sure any hidden problems. Please can someone advise what I need to check or troubleshoot? How can I solve this problem?

    Use another program.  Mozilla Thunderbird works well.
    Probably too, you can just use the web interface.
     
    I bet it's something that is done on/with this specific computer.  You called your 'work' computer - then is managed by your IT support?

    Installation of WebLogic 10.3.6 bits 'Generic' (java-Xmx1024m-jar wls1036 - generic.jar) without configuration.

    Forms and reports 11.1.2.2.0 installation:

    -installation without configuratoin

    -Keep the default values for the other parameters

    So far, no problems found.

    Now, configuration of forms and reports:

    -for development

    -Keep the default values

    He began the creation of the area (< middleware_home > / user_projects/domains/ClassicDomain /...), but after two hours, just says status: error...

    Any idea? I didn't know what to do now!

    Finally, I found the problem. First, I make a default installation of the JDK (c:\Program Files\Java\...). I try again on a new machine, but I install java in a directory with a shorter name (c:\java\...). And this time, I can do the installation completely!

    Someone has an experience to online migratioin for Exchange server and the ad server using vmware converter?  Is this possible?

    This means that if I'm not stop my exchange server, I could cause my lost mail server data is?

    You must stop the service or you will lose more post conversion data (all messages that are processed during the conversion and perhaps others, if the data store is corrupted after conversion).

    For incoming mail you'll lose them... a true mail must try again yet (for a few hours) if the SMTP protocol is not available.

    Or you can use another SMTP as a secondary MX.

    Regarding the announcement that I can't make the DC promo is because my file server is also a party to my DC

    If you have a license of vCenter Server download the CD live Converter Enterprise (from download vCenter).

    Or install standalone converter on your server and that start in 'Mode Active Directory restoration"to have AD services stopped.

  • ESX 3.5 update 4 - HA does not not after reboot

    Hi all

    I was wondering if someone could help me, I have a 2 cluster nodes and during the week I had to recharge 2 servers. Before restarting HA was working perfectly, no problem but now after a reboot when they start and CIV center connection and select reconfigure for HA everything out without problem, but then after a few minutes, you can see HA fails and I need to restart the process. I have not changed anything, so I don't know why its doing. I looked through the logs, but all I can see is about 'Main vmware lost AAM server' errors and then restarts the AAM agent. I tried to restart the VIC server stop and start HA but nothing!

    Any ideas?

  • Windows Server 2012 lost connectivity

    Hi all

    I created 6 virtual servers Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. However, there are 2 weeks 3 to 6 servers randomly lost connectivity (ping returned request) outdated, unable to control remotely,... several times until I have restart servers, connectivity was back. Even if 3 other servers do not have this problem.

    I found the following error events in the event viewer, I don't know if they cause this problem or not:
